Horrible horrible customer service... i had an antibiotic prescription filled on the 27th of April and as I write this, it's not ready. Today is the 28th of April 23@ 0800hrs and Still not filled. My scripts took 4 days to fill. Never have meds in stock. When I do get to the counter half the time it takes them 20 minutes just to find the meds. I am finding a new pharmacy. It's a shame that this Walgreens can't get their act together in the pharmacy! I waited 40 minutes in the drive through, only to be told they haven't started filling my prescriptions yet. I went to the Urgent Care and the doctor sent over the prescription at 6:00pm. Knowing that this pharmacy has had issues lately, I went home and waited 3 hours to give them ample time to fill my prescription. They were, obviously, waiting until I showed up to fill it. Which would be fine if the line for the drive through wasn't 5 to 7 cars deep at all times, and the line inside wasn't 7 to 10 people deep at all times! Enough is enough, I'm switching my pharmacy to a more inconvenient area of town to save time and sanity! read more

Horrible, they are so nice with their excuses and lies: Lie #1 Told the se used wrong code - even though we already pick up 2 of 3 the drugs the third is messed up Lie #2 Insurance has rejected Rx - even though mother is on Medicare and this had to be pre approved prior to Rx to be written Lie #3 Doctor has not sent in the Rx or it just came through - look at lie #1 all Rx sent at same time. Manager and pharmacist refuses to call back or rectify Constantly pick up two Rx ask about third that is time sensitive no issues but when to go and pick up always an issue Switch to different Walgreens we are switching to specialty pharmacy and mail. read more

I scheduled my covid testing online and it says to just to go the drive thru lane so when I got there there was a long line in both lanes. So then I decided to go to the other lane coz it's shorter wait but as soon as I got closer maybe 3rd car there was a sign that I was supposed to go to the other lane that's by the window for covid testing. So when I got to talk to the pharmacist I told her that maybe they needed to move that sign further up so people can see before they pick a lane to wait. And she gave me an excuse that it's stated on the email that I got where to specifically go but again on the email it just says to go to drive thru. I was annoyed read more

This store is always under staffed and has done nothing to improve the customer service experience by providing additional staff. I have been told they cannot add labor from a directive from Corporate! I cannot STAND this pharmacy. No matter what time of day, week, month, YEAR, they are PACKED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. 15-20 cars deep in the drive thru, 10-15 people deep inside in line. The wait times for Pharmacy are always horrendous I've been in line for 22 minutes and am still waiting to get to a window. They have both lanes open but neither front car has moved in the past 6 minutes. However, I'm now trapped in the line and can't get out to come back later as someone is in front and behind me. I recently scheduled a Covid vaccine at this Walgreens Store. The sign said check in by entering a QR code that would confirm I have arrived for my shot that I scheduled. I noticed a very long line at the pharmacy window. I was puzzled but I took a seat and waited for my name to be called. I sat there for about 15 minutes wondering when I would be called. A young woman who was dressed is scrubs asked me if I was waiting for shots and replied yes. She asked for information and stating she would be giving shots. I looked puzzled. I informed her that I checked in by using the QR code at the front of the store. The young Nurse informed me that that QR code is not working and had to stand on line to check in. I wasted my time because their system has not been implemented correctly. I waited another 15 minutes on line and was furious. A woman from behind the pharmacy window checked me in. I still had to wait another 15 minutes to be seen to receive the vaccine. Finally the young lady who spoke to me earlier was the RN to give me the shot. I said finally, I'll be seen. She led me into a room that was no bigger than a small closet. The floor was filthy dirty. I commented and she said it has always been like that since she started working and management ignored her requests to clean the floor and that she too was appalled and embarrassed of the dirty floor. I thanked her for caring for me and she was extremely professional. Needless to say I will not be getting any vaccines at that Walgreens. I felt sad for the Professional RN having to give vaccines in such a dirty environment and such an unorganized pharmacy. read more

I avoid using this pharmacy unless i am sick on a weekend or after work (i use CVS by my work). They are so rude and do not want to help. It feels like they hate their job. My doctor sent over 5 prescriptions about 11 am (one being paxlovid because i have covid), and i called at 6:30pm and they are still not done. They told me 10am the next day. I had to get the pharmacist on the phone to explain that one of my prescriptions is for covid, and one is an inhaler, i need them. CVS has them done in 1 hr. This is nothing to do with the Walgreens on Southern Highlands. But it's for all Walgreens. I made an appointment for vaccinations on line and fill out all the information. By the time I get there and check in using the QR code. We waited for over 20 minutes and no one actually service us even the place wasn't busy at all. We finally end up talking to the service person and she told us Walgreens doesn't carry the vaccines that we made appointment for. My question is why Walgreens website does show the vaccines is available and I could make appointment after checking the boxes for those specific vaccines online? It's a total waste of our time to drive all the way there and waited for over 20 minutes to find out what they posted on their website actually never existed! No wonder so many people hate Walgreens! I like the service received at this pharmacy. Every time I asked question, I felt they answered them to the best of their ability. I love their text refill system because I really don't enjoying phone calls. You can literally have your medications refilled though them reminding you through text and then type the word refill. read more

This is the THIRD, read that correctly, the THIRD time I have had a dosage change in a prescription that had been faxed over to this Walgreens, yet whomever is putting these prescriptions in the system, they are NOT, I repeat, are NOT removing the prior prescription from my profile. I do use their "convenient" auto refill system so I'm notified when I have a prescription that is do for refill. The first time this happened to me, I just thought someone had missed it, so I declined that refill and stuck with my more current one. The SECOND time it happened, I asked to speak to the manager of the pharmacy as this IS a SAFETY issue. I explained to her, that as a nurse, I do have elderly patients that don't even know the names of their medications let alone why each medication is prescribed to them. The most common response is, "I just take whatever the doctor tells me I need to take. They know what I need." So, if I were one of those patients, I would be taking way more of my medications then my doctor intended me too. She totally agreed with me and said she was going to take it up with corporate and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. Now it happened to me a THIRD TIME!!! Obviously nothing has changed with how Walgreens and their "automatic refill for customer convenience" has changed. I don't know if it is ALL Walgreens, or just this place in particular. And what responsibility does the INSURANCE have in all of this?? They won't let you fill a prescription a few days early, but they'll ok two different doses and of a duplicate medication?? The elderly, especially those with dementia, are at a VERY high risk taking their INTENDED medications, and at the right time......and NOW that can't depend on their PHARMACY or THEIR INSURANCE to make sure what they are picking up is EXACTLY what they are suppose to be taking????? This is a very SCARY situation folks. Make sure you double check ALL of your medications BEFORE you pay for them....once you've left the store, you CANNOT return them. read more
