Okay so nobody likes to pick up medications. It's never any fun. I hate waiting in line and then having to deal with the process of giving all my information. Today at this store I had the best experience with the lady working the Pharmacy Counter. She was amazingly personable and was such a pleasure to speak with. She reminded me to get my flu shot. Made sure all my info was correct and made sure I got my reward points. Truly the best customer service. I will definitely be back to this store for my prescription needs and anything else. I would like to give a shout-out to the amazing pharmacy staff at the Pine Street Walgreens. Like many pharmacies, it's a beehive of activity, with lots of customers and troubleshooting. But the difference here is the kindness, warmth, and dedication of the pharmacy staff at this Walgreens location. I was unexpectedly in SoBe for a few days due to weather-related flight delays and had run out of my prescription meds. My doctor called in my prescriptions, but some info was missing. The Walgreens pharmacist, Dr. Jorge, went above and beyond to help me troubleshoot - both in person and on the phone, calling my doctor's office multiple times, and filling the prescriptions 10 mins before the pharmacy closed last night, before I fly home today. Dr. Jorge did this while triaging a crush of other incoming customer requests. He took a personal interest in helping me, and I deeply appreciate his dedication. In addition, this Walgreens pharmacy is so busy that it feels almost like an ER. Yet as I stood in line, I watched the pharmacy technician greet each customer with warmth, listen carefully to concerns, and efficiently resolve issues. I was very impressed with her ability to stay even-keel and exude positive energy in the midst of such a busy practice. Highly recommend. read more

This Walgreens really needs better management and customer service. The issues: * The receipt printer at checkout is constantly broken -- this has happened more than once. * Several employees were rude and unwilling to help when I asked where to find an item. * The manager didn't speak a word of English, which made even simple questions frustrating. * The pharmacy wait times are long, and they never answer the phone, no matter how many times you call. Other notes: The store itself is clean and carries the basics -- over-the-counter meds, toiletries, snacks, even a FedEx drop-off kiosk -- but the service issues ruin the convenience. Bottom line: If you're just grabbing something quick, it might be fine. But if you need help, expect a long wait and poor communication. Dear Walgreens, The filth outside this store does not inspire health or wellness. The floor right outside the not-so clean glass doors is covered with black unsanitary chewing gum. The two large trash cans are filthy and in need of repair. Not sure while this is. This is a corporate issue that comes from the top. I have lived in Miami Beach since 1987 and never experienced a worse Walgreens pharmacy customer service as the Pine Tree location. My doctor gave me a name brand prescription with a discount card to lower the price from $ 680.00 to $58.00 since Blue Select does not cover this medication. No where on the discount card site states that said name medication would be changed out for a generic one. The generic one with my insurance is only $1.50. Generic one in the past has not worked for me and wanted to see if there was an actual difference with the name brand. The lady pharmacist talked down to me and acted like "it is what it is". Saying that, it's stated on the discount card is for a generic, not for a name brand. Sorry, no where on the discount card site states a generic would be given instead. She the pharmacist would not give me the time of day to show where it states this information. A total FU to me. I asked to transfer my prescription to another Walgreens and she refuse to help without an explanation. Only reason I am putting " she " is that there was two pharmacist working, one man and one women. I will never go back to this Walgreens on Pine Tree ever again. read more

Obviously I can not take this medication and since I ordered through the door dash app I called to see if they could somehow work with me to correct the issue. After talking with the manager he said there was nothing he could do unless I came to the store which was not possible since I did not personally come get the item. He was completely rude and unprofessional and I wasted my money on a product that was ruined. Located along 41 St (close to the Julia Tuttle causeway) and before crossing the last bridge before arriving on the beach, this Walgreens is a lifesaver when you forget a beach towel, chancletas or a very specific suntan lotion before getting your tan on. It's also perfect for either pre-gaming supplies, or for hydration and pastries at the end of a fun night. Why only three stars? Well besides the fact lines can be a little slow, and said suntan lotions being spread out over two or three lanes, the parking lot tends to flood when it rains. I'm talking standing water! Still can't beat this Walgreens for geographic convenience though! read more

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!!! Especially if you're needing a prescription. Called Saturday September 3rd at 9. Person who answered the phone...monotone and rude. I asked her when the prescription would be ready and she responded by twelve. She also advised she would give me a call. I kept calling the pharmacy's automated system as you can check the status of your prescription. The best thing about this Walgreens is the location. Once you've exited onto Arthur Godfrey road from I95 East, this all in one store awaits you as the perfect resolution to pick up any last minute essentials you need for a beach day. While they still offer parking for patrons, the line can certainly be quite lengthy during busier weekend hours or holiday weekends. They don't sell wine or beer at this spot before 1pm because of the local ordinance so keep that in mind. They have a touristy clothing section which can be a quick chancleta purchase for the days you left your pair behind or simply couldn't find a suitable pair. If you left your sunscreen behind, this is the last stop for toiletries and essentials. The parking lot does get flooded during rainier days so finding a spot to avoid a puddle can be challenging. Many times I've witnessed unnecessary crowds waiting in the parking lot loitering aside from being known to have several theft incidents so make sure your doors are locked and your belongings aren't in plain sight when you leave your vehicle. It can be a bit pricier than other locations but it's also quite inexpensive on comparison with the price of their nearby competitors. read more

We stayed at a hotel nearby and visited this store about 3 or 4 times. We probably spent between 80.00 and 100.00 for snacks etc. The last time I went there I went to the restroom. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! I thought that a company like Walgreens would make sure that they keep the restrooms clean, but this was probably one of the worst restrooms I have been to. It reminded me of the restroom from the movie "Saw"!. There were cockroaches, the door locks didn't work, trash everywhere, water damaged walls, urin everywhere. So I've been coming to this walgreens since 2001, and although they've changed some things about it, it's basically the same as it's always been. Pros: 1. Open 24-7 2. They are a stand alone Cons: 1. Non sufficient parking 2. Staff is very slow and non attentive 3. Expensive! 4. Too many tourists The thing here is simple, it's the only convenient place for locals and tourists alike in this area, so you really are forced to come here if it's past 12 am and are in need of snacks, batteries, or any other necessity. I've been there a few times and the pharmacy tech has a chip on her shoulder the size of an elephant. She has not once greeted me when I walked up and when I ask questions she seems severely annoyed. My second time getting my Rx there, they said I had gotten a 3 month supply of the med last month from them. I did not but I checked 3 more times at home and I only had the one month supply . So they made me pay out of pocket for this med for the next 2 months bc of this mistake bc they demanded that they were right. I will find somewhere that has a friendlier staff and isn't difficult to talk to. read more

The pharmacy itself is good, they seem to stock all the medications I need, which not every pharmacy does. The pharmacist is also very helpful and the few instances when I needed, he would have the medications ordered and in the pharmacy within a day or two. Overall the pharmacy itself is really good. Now the rest of the store is more mixed. Like some have said, the food is likely not the freshest. It is a tourist CVS, but not so much like the ones directly on the beach, but yeah probably not the place for a local to do shopping. Service: Pharmacy service is great! I'm honestly disappointed. I went into Walgreens with what I thought was a simple request. Nail Biting Polish. I walked inside and asked a worker where that would be. She said it's in the Sally Hansen section. It fucking wasn't, because they fucking don't sell it. Ok, firstly, don't fucking direct me to an aisle where shit aint at. Secondly, after asking a different lady, she said they don't stock it and that many people have asked for it. So thirdly, know what you're fucking stocking and if it's a common request then fucking stock it!! I walked out, thoroughly disappointed. Yesterday I had job interview. This is very much a tourist-oriented Walgreens, although honestly, I guess the same could be said about any other CVS or Walgreens in Miami Beach. It is a rather large Walgreens, and many of their aisles are dedicated to tourists essentials like beach cover-ups, beach towels, etc. I usually don't go to this location, but considering that I needed M&Ms for my daughter's school and the CVS on Biscayne had run out --oddly enough -- this store saved me. Unlike some of the drug stores on the beach, this Walgreens actually does have a parking lot, which makes it all that more convenient, just be cautious as you pull in, as this seems to be a famous spot for police to take their latest traffic stop victims. read more

Worst pharmacy I have ever been to in my entire life. I am from NYC- had a surgery here 4 days ago. As I am bleeding+ in severe pain I go to the pharmacy to get my pain medication. This lady first says I am not on the system- and I KNOW I am- she says only NYC Medicaid is on the system so it doesn't work here. I walk all the way back to get my Fidelis card (STILL bleeding and in pain) then she says it doesn't work in Miami. I tell her two days ago in CVS I picked up my meds- antibiotics etc. She tells me not possible. I call my insurance, they tell her the code she needs and that my insurance works out of state. She still doesn't listen. Now it has been 1.5 hours, and I am seriously in pain and still bleeding. Finally she decides to call my insurance- WHICH she should've done when I first got there- finds out I was right, still spends another 20 mins on the phone with them over stupid stuff- then says I have to wait. My prescription was supposedly ready hours ago- I had gotten a phone call from them. After that- NOT EVEN an apology- as if I turned out wrong and as if I made her wait in pain. Spoke to the manager, who also seemed like he couldn't care less. Worst pharmacy experience ever. UPDATE: RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THE MANAGER- first it was kissing my ass "oh I hope you are doing well" - yes I bet you hope I am doing well after you kept me bleeding and in pain in your store for over an hour... Then "well its a long process when its out of state" I was stupid enough to think the manager had the decency to apologize instead of try to cover up for his uneducated, careless, ignorant and rude employee. I told him -STILL NO APOLOGY?" he paused- I complained to Walgreens corporate- will continue doing so- until these people are punished Oh and this "complicated out of state" thing they took 2 hours to do (ALL SHE HAD TO DO- LITERALLY- WAS TO CALL MY INSURANCE COMPANY. ONE PHONE CALL.- INSTEAD SHE MADE ME GO BACK AND FORTH WALKING BLOCKS AWAY AND BACK, STOOD ME UP AND STILL REJECTED ME) - this was done in CVS - no questions asked no problems. Okay so I only come here as a LAST resort, ie no parking on the CVS up front or too tired to make it to Publix. There's just something off about this place, it feels more like an outdated tourist store than a Walgreens. The selection of everyday stuff is very limited, but they do have aisles full of tacky beach wear, beach chairs, souvenirs, and sunscreen galore. And that same cheesy Cha Cha cabana music is always playing, I think they just have one CD thats permanently on repeat. Maybe this is your kind of place is you're not from Miami Beach , for the rest of us normal residents not so much. At least there's always plenty of parking. read more

Customer service vary per shift. Usually in the morning (when the boss is there) the store is in order. Afternoon and midnight declines significantly. They cheat about customer service surveys. You will notice, cashiers keep your receipt. Because the manager pays incentive to the emp based on the opinions. This is why many stores changed managers but not this one. Food is not fresh however you can find kosher food. The have no small snacks on purpose, no sale price or certain less expensive items. Alcohol and cigarettes are their best sellers. And the souveniers are very limited and overpriced. They close their restrooms during overnight shift, very inconvenient for nightlife since everywhere else is close and walgreens brags about their convenient 24hr hours. Lastly, their photodepartment is DOESNT EXIST. You will notice many people complaints about that. Store in general is dusty and dirty. They should upgrade like MANY OTHER stores in the beach. Terrible. Crazy high prices on the stuff you need for the beach...like sunscreen. The cashier rang up a bag of rolo candy I didn't want. When I tried to explain it to her, I finally understood she was using the bag of rolos so she didn't have to ring up 3 individual items I purchased. She was lazy and rude when explaining to me her shortcut. I understand being a cashier in such a touristy area is hard...but it IS your job...suck it up and at least be courteous. read more

I was staying at The Fountain Bleu hotel not too far from this particular Walgreens. My coworkers and I went out for dinner that night. When I got to my hotel room I felt extremely ill my stomach was in knots! I GOOGLED the closest Walgreens in my area thank goodness for this Walgreens ,it was late hours around 2 am as I walked in I was greeted by the floor manager Christopher whom because of him I am able to write this compliment today! He was so helpful and courteous he was no pharmacy tech however he was able to suggest some over the counter meds that helped me get through the night. Do not buy refrigerated food like sandwiches at this location. We bought 2 and both were with green mold in the middle. Thanks God our daughter checked them inside before eating. Can imagine how the march break could be spoiled... Also, tourists make sure you keep your receipts when you have to buy their low quality items like sandals if you do not want any useless body say you are a liar. Mine started to fall apart after 3 days and I brought them back but the shift boss by name Maciej refused to refund them saying they were worn for ages. Good job Maciej!
