I came to this Sephora recently to return some items I had purchased, exchange a lip gloss & return a gift from a friend. My usual Sephora is either the one at Merrick Park or Dadeland but this one is across the street from my office so I stopped by during lunch. The girl at the counter was very sweet & everything was fine until I tried to return my friend's gift. Her: "I'll need her email" me: Ummm, let me check if I have it. Her: "Ok, just enter her phone number". Me: Here it is. Her: "Well there's 3 emails associated with this number & I dont see any info of her purchase of this item" Me: Well I have no idea what to tell you. She gave me a Sephora bag with a bunch of goodies in it. I said thank you but I don't want this item & would like to return it. It has not even been open & is in the plastic safety packaging. Her: "I know, I'm sorry. They're just really strict now. Let me ask my manager." She then turned to speak to her manager who literally looked at me dead in the eye & said "No proof of purchase, we can't accept", smiled & walked away. I spend thousands & thousands of $$$ at Sephora annually & they wouldn't take back a $30 lash serum because I hadn't asked my friend for a gift receipt?!? WTF is this? Now I understand that some people may abuse loose return policies but this was ridiculous. Had I not been exhausted & running late for a meeting, I would have told the manager (looking straight into her dumb aqua & pink lined eyes) exactly how ridiculous that was but I didn't. First, I give the staff here a lot of credit. It's not easy to work at BCC with the constant crowds and type of customers that come here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. But I think this location really needs to consider limiting the amount of people that can come in. It's just way too crowded almost all the time and I can't imagine working in these conditions. It's a big location with huge selection, but so hard and stressful to navigate with the quantity of people so I can only imagine how the staff feels! read more

Every employee I encountered, except for the one who was not employed by Sephora, asked me if I needed a basket. At first I thought nothing of it, and chucked it up to them just being nice and considerate. Then it became a thing every 30 seconds while shopping, to the point where I was wondering if I did something wrong. I even asked the employee if I did something wrong, to which she laughed and said nope. I said ok. 4 more associates asked me if I needed a basket, with only 4 items in my had. I said no again, at this point becoming frustrated by the entire experience. Then I got in line, realizing that I was forgetting my Fenty gloss (towards the door) so I walked towards the fenty aisle and there's another associate walking quite quickly to try to catch up to me. Once I turn left into the aisle, she turns right and grabs a basket....turns to me and says, do you want one? I say no AGAIN! She looks at me confused as if why would I turn down a basket. I paid for my stuff and left, but I had to come on here and say that IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR, DO NOT EXPECT TO BE TREATED WITH THE SAME INTEGRITY AS OTHERS! I went into Sephora local located at the Brickell City Center, May 31st around 5 PM and I bought some Burberry perfume and it was priced at $85. When I went to the register and checked out after double checking my receipt, I realized that I was OVERCHARGED for the perfume & also overcharged for the toner that I purchased as well. After bringing this to their attention, cashier adjusted the price, and I asked her who she be notifying the customers that obviously there are some overpriced items in the store but she said " obviously not " . I love coming to BCC for dining and entertainment so it's no mystery why I visited Sephora on my latest trip here. I mean, this place is pretty entertaining if you ask me. Inside these doors is a plethora of makeup and beauty products including fragrances and skincare while still offering dental and hair care lines as well. It's basically a playground but with beauty products and so I came to dabble with a mascara purchase which did me well. The staff welcome you at the entrance which is super helpful when you're walking in with questions or in need of guidance. The good thing is everyone knows what they're doing so you're in good hands no matter what direction you end up in. There's a rewards system set up for frequent visitors offering perks and coupons redeemable towards future purchases which is always super clutch. I love the maze like aisles here with loads of options on so many beauty items. Like, who doesn't wanna be cute?! I went this past Mon 4/8 for makeup service appt that I had. Diana was the makeup artist that serviced me. She was professional, knew exactly what I wanted and executed it perfectly! The reason for 1 less star was other staff and I'm assuming management?. I did NOT like how they would constantly come in our area to look at her work and what she was doing. At one point whom I assume was a supervisor came and asked her "Do you have an ETA of when you'll be done?" And she did not ask in the nicest form. I was BAFFLED! That was extremely unprofessional! I had allergies due to the perfumes in the store and I would cough and my eyes would tear often. Diana made sure I was ok everytime, she even got me a cup of water. Whomever this supervisor or staff was should be coached. I'm a paying customer and my allergies were not Diana's fault. Once my allergies would flare she would have to clean and redo the area that she'd be working on. She was so sweet, patient and attentive throughout my service. Her colleagues need to pay more attention to their job duties and not worry about what an artist was doing. I really hope that she is not being treated differently in that store, if so she would be a better fit somewhere else where she is appreciated. I did not discuss anything with her, wished I had the time. Diana, if you are reading this you did great, you are amazing and you deserve better. I have been purchasing at this location since day 1 (I live in Brickell) and I never had an uncomfortable issue until today. I came in today 6/26/21 to get my hair vitamins as usual and when I proceeded to pay for them I asked "WENDY" for samples as they usually provide. WENDY told me "we don't have any samples" and when she replied I asked her what was her name and after getting her name, miraculously she said "oh I found samples". I have been to Sephora's in NYC, LA, all over Miami, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky... and I've never found anyone as talented, knowledgeable or kind as Alexis at this location. He is top notch and I am so blessed to have him beat my face on occasion. The staff here are all amazing, but my main man is Alexis. Love that Sephora is walking distance from my condo. The staff is for the most part friendly and will ask if you need help. The store is not that big, but they have a good variety. I went in looking for Nars and Fenty Beauty. They had everything I wanted, except Pat McGrath. Please bring Pat's collection here. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the girl used a dirty brush. I don't care if they spray it with whatever it looks dirty, so it has to be dirty.
