This store has to be the nicest store ever. The employees are are very nice, except the front register lady, Shannon.

Lol We went straight to the pharmacy and there was this older lady getting her prescription filled and one of the pharmacist was helping her around the store. Yeah she was struggling and confused, but guess what- not anymore because of the nice lady- she told me she'd be with us in a moment, but we were had an appointment & there were plently of other's there to help us. (Do yo thang!) Soo, my kid's pediatrician office was slammed because back to school appointments and we had to go to them for vaccines since it was out of stock. Walgreens had them in stock, only problem was you needed a prescription for thoose? Well, they sent me over without one (just an IOU-type paper which was useless because no doctor signed it) but they were able to get it verbally and the paper faxed over ASAP. They refuse to issue vaccines without it, they needed that paperwork! I respect that. We waited about 20 minutes.- In the meantime they updated my information and i didn't even know we still had a walgreens account. Which was super cool because it made it go quicker. So when they DID get that sent over it was no wait. Bam, we were out! The store was very clean and had alot to offer or maybe I've been too use to small, under stock pharmacies. It had a few people inside, which I felt was a good sign. (I don't like crowds, but I hate super empty stores because that means nobody's around when you need them!)

Before writing this, I cross-checked CVS MinuteClinic's own website against Yelp. Nearly every…read moreMinuteClinic location advertises a 4.5-5 star rating on CVS.com, backed by conveniently anonymous reviews. The same locations sit at 1-2 stars on Yelp, with a long list of real, identifiable complaints about customer service, billing, and clinic cleanliness. I can validate the Yelp reviews, given a recent personal experience. - CVS review: https://www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/clinic-locator/tx/deerpark/3699.html - Yelp review: https://www.yelp.com/biz/cvs-pharmacy-deer-park?osq=Drugstores On July 25, 2026, I visited the MinuteClinic inside the CVS in Deer Park, Texas. I was asked to provide a urine sample. When I entered the restroom, it was immediately clear someone there had suffered a medical emergency: the walls, floor, and toilet were covered in human waste. Given the ongoing cyclosporiasis outbreak, I was seriously concerned about the health risk this posed to patients and staff, and I reported it right away to the clinical staff and to the doctor on duty. The doctor on duty, Marina Rivera, responded: "that isn't my problem." Horrified, I left without further delay and did not receive any care. Despite never being seen, my card was charged for the visit. What followed was weeks of contradictory answers from CVS and MinuteClinic representatives, none of whom could (or would) resolve it: * "You should see the charge drop from your card in 3-5 business days." - Cassandra, MinuteClinic customer service 7/27 * "Call the MinuteClinic directly for a refund." - Emily, CVS customer service 7/30 * "You need to call MinuteClinic patient services."- Selena, CVS customer service 7/30 * "You need to speak with MinuteClinic billing."- Devon, MinuteClinic customer service 8/4 * 2 hours bounced around on the phone with MinuteClinic billing 8/6 * "This is not the correct number." - Kristen, CVS Customer service (on the very number she'd just given me) 8/11 * "File a claim with MinuteClinic." - Max, MinuteClinic customer service 8/12 * "We do not see your visit in our records." - Max, MinuteClinic customer service 8/12 * "We have no record of you at all." - Max, MinuteClinic customer service 8/12 * "The billing record is from a year ago." - Anna, MinuteClinic customer service 8/12 (referring to a charge clearly dated 7/25/26) * Reported as fraud and immediately refunded. - Credit card service - 8/12 I don't know whether CVS is actively recruiting the worst possible staff or simply no longer cares about patient services or reputation. Either way: unsanitary conditions, a doctor who refuses to acknowledge a health hazard, and a billing department that can't locate its own records is not an isolated bad day - it's a shame that communities are subjected to such disgraceful conditions. I've reported this incident, with names, photos, and video, to the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Texas Medical Board, and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (though we all know that will likely result in pats on the back for the incompetent).
