Being a chain, the products and sales (which tend to be pretty good) are the same at most locations. I have always managed to find what I need and gotten friendly, efficient help when I needed it. I have not used the pharmacy in a long time but got quick service when I did. The store is clean and well-stocked. What sets this location apart is the Queen of the Cosmetic department, Dee. She is a walking encyclopedia of products, can offer intelligent suggestions (not just push a sale) and is willing to take the time to find the most appropriate product for age, skin type or use. It seems like I always end up leaving the store with good advice and something better than I originally expected. read more

This review is regarding the 3402 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ location. For the longest time, there has been and yes, still is, the problem of trying to get through on their prescriptions phone line. My first call today lasted 40 minutes with nobody picking up. My second call today lasted 25 minutes with nobody picking up. This is a waste of my time. I believe there is something wrong with their phone line. I normally use the pharmacy at 2435 E Greenway Pkwy Phoenix, AZ 85032. They were unable to fill 1 of my prescriptions today due to no stock. They close at 5 pm but they were kind enough to have it filled at a 24 hr pharmacy close by at 204 E Bell Rd Phoenix, AZ 85022. I was told it would be at least an hour. I went ahead and drove over and waited for the text message that my order was ready then got in the drive thu line. There were 3 cars ahead of me and another behind me. It was 5:10 pm. They literally closed the pharmacy down with all these customers waiting and said they'd be closed until 9 pm. Will definitely be taking my future business to a different company. read more

This review is for the store, I don't use the pharmacy (and wouldn't considering the state of the store). Absolutely disgusting, what appeared to be human feces outside and witnessed a man stealing inside. Managers didn't seem to care, not about the theft or when an employee was being berated by a customer. As someone who has worked service jobs I found that unacceptable. Employees are nice and efficient but managers need to go, or at least get the (literal) sh*t under control. read more

Waited well over an hour to get 2 vaccines. No one spoke to me for about 10 minutes even though I was the only customer there. When the pharmacist finally got around to administering the vaccine he had only one because the assistant didn't notice I had requested 2. It took another 45 minutes to get the second vaccine ready even though they were not particularly busy. In fact for a good portion of the time I was once again the only one there and they had at least 4 people working. read more

I am so disappointed by the deception. A cute little older women who was helping me at the register said if I answered a few simple questions I would receive $40 back in return. Trust me this was too good to be true. She said nothing about this being an application for a Walgreens credit card. This was done without my knowledge or consent. I am very disappointed in this pharmacy and this Walgreens. Went to pick up a prescription though the drive through and there were signs that said drive through closed. Went inside, and the pharmacy was closed and said drive through open. They were both closed. Update your hours please! or at least post signs! This isn't the first time this has happened! Some patients require their medications ASAP and can't get in contact with their doctors to send scrip to another pharmacy when the office is closed. read more

Not enough product to fill orders so I've had to return to the location 2 times for once prescription twice in the last 3 months. Nobody answers the phone. I actually called the store to see if the pharmacy was still open. I get texts saying that there is an insurance delay. BTW my prescription is for a very common seizure med but it's for my dog who doesn't have insurance. He can't go with out it and my vet assured me she sent over prescription twice. I don't think I would be so fed up except this is going on for months now. I switched from the cave creek and bell location to this one thinking it would be better since 24 hours. Nope! Wow! Talk about above and beyond. I'd ordered a wood print from 204 E Bell, and when I got there they hadn't even seen the order...and were out of wood. I was so dispirited that the web had merrily promised a print which could not have happened. I went on with my day and was truthfully about to write a pretty frustrated review when the phone rang. I'd re-placed the order at another store. This call was Samantha from the 204 E Bell store, saying she'd thought there was one more piece of wood in the back and she'd gone and looked till she found it and made my print! I was amazed -- she could have completely let it go, and she went more than the extra mile. She even called to cancel my other order. I not only have the print, I have more than my faith in humanity restored. I'm forever grateful to Samantha; it could not have happened on a better day. I went to this location because it's the only one open 24 hours near me. I was having horrible uti pain and walked to the pharmacist inside the store. They were refinishing the floor and had half the store blocked off but the azo pills I needed were about 5 ft away and in an aisle that wasn't even being refinished yet. The pharmacist just said "we can't get to them" and sent me on my way crying and in horrible pain. read more

Worst experience ever. Was seen at Urgent Care and needed prescriptions filled. Prescriptions were faxed over. Pharmacy was over 30 minutes away. Had to wait in line for 30 minutes only to discover they do not fill prescriptions until they determine they will be paid. They had all mY information. if i could give 1 star i would. this pharmacy is the absolute worst i've ever dealt with. i called sunday morning to ensure that my meds would be ready by the time i was off work (they were supposed to be done days prior.) i was told they would be done in two hours max. i went that night after work (about 10 hours after the call) and to my surprise i was told they had no record of me ever even having my prescription. i've had to have my poor psychiatrists office call them three times now and to no avail. i am on medications that cause severe withdrawal symptoms and am unable to finish daily tasks right now due to the downright lack of care and laziness of this staff. absolutely appalled. once this is sorted i will absolutely never use a walgreens again for medications as it was revealed to me by my psychiatrists office that this is a common issue amongst walgreens and that they just choose not to fill prescriptions often times. TLDR if your medications do anything important for your basic functions and you need them in a timely matter steer clear of this location. (and maybe walgreens entirely). read more

I have been using this Walgreens as my local pharmacy for three years now. The pharmacy made a mistake on the number of refills that I'm entitled to. Instead of being apologetic, I was told to "go to urgent care" and that they can't give me a refill because my medication is not for a life threatening illness. I didn't receive a phone call or email about my prescription expiring and did not learn that my meds were unavailable until I arrived to pick up my prescription. Thus, putting me one day behind on my meds. Then, I called Walgreens customer service line, hoping for an answer. Instead I was told my prescription expired. The representative responded to me with "what do you want me to do about it?" That is so unprofessional and is not how you should speak to customers. Finally, my doctor was able to call Walgreens directly, inform them that they entered the number of refills I should receive incorrectly, and I was able to get my meds. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth. In the future, I will be going to CVS. read more

They clearly don't have enough staff... waited 45 mins for my drive through Covid testing in which I was 5 mins early for my scheduled appointment and still waiting while typing this and still not helped, the lane next to me I can overhear that their prescription was not ready after 48 hours they too waited in the same line and time frame and drove off unhappy. I would give zero starts if I could. The worse customer service I've ever experience in my life. I tried to transfer my prescription from another pharmacy. I had to speak with 3 people. I explained how crucial it was for me to get my medication. Chris directly at the pharmacy in Walgreens was supposed to transfer my medication back to Walgreens, call my insurance to get a 90 day supply. First he told me it was not his job to call my insurance and that I had to do it. I let him know that customer services at Walgreens told me the pharmacist would do it for me to get the approval for the 90 day supply. After the giving a very negative attitude he told me it would take like 2.5 hours to be completed. 4 hours later I called only to be transferred 3 times again. The last person put me on hold and almost answer my call 5 times before being put on hold again. I had to have my husband call on his phone and by "Miracle" somebody unsewered him. They never transferred my medication or spoke with my insurance. According to them they called twice only to be put on hold for 1 hour. Not true! I spoke with my pharmacist and insurance several times with no issues. What a shame for people who think they have the power and not to provide appropriate customer service for people who needs the medication. We've already covered the pharmacy. I had a lengthy review on my deleted account. It's hands down the worst pharmacy I've ever experienced. This pharmacy is downright awful. Go to another location. Even their own employees AT that store have said they know. And the pharmacies at other locations are also well aware. I stopped using them years ago. But on occasion I've needed probiotics that are refrigerated from the pharmacy. They were all bad and I had to return them and get them at a different location. I've continued to come here because it's close and 24 hours but I think tonight was the last time. The employees here act like you are personally holding them up if you make a return. I'm not talking about a questionable return. I'm talking about within the week. Unopened or used once with ID (if asked), with receipt and with Walgreens ID. Make sure to have your phone because half the time the receipt doesn't even work and you have to back it up by going through your purchases. Not only is it a HUGE hassle to make a return they are incredibly rude. As I've stated I've been coming here for ten years. I have never once treated any employee with disrespect but more than once have had the older employees be downright nasty simply by making a return. And the younger boy who started within the last year or so who thinks he's the freakin Gustapo asking for ID when it's not needed and demanding I leave my purse and bag at the entrance when I had a return. I literally walked in, walked to the shelf grabbed what I came for and walked right up to the counter. And he acted like I had stolen something. I understand that this location has shoplifting issues but that doesn't mean you treat every customer like a shop lifter. And you don't treat customers who are polite and respectful like trash. I get that this probably isn't the best job. You probably don't make much. And I don't honestly feel that the older folks should be working nights here. It isn't safe. There ARE a lot of questionable people in this area which I understand probably makes the job intolerable and being older jobs are hard to come by. But maybe appreciate your regulars and treat people how you would like to be treated. I understand a long day and being cranky but I've been treated incredibly disrespectfully on so many occasions just for making a run of the mill return. It's not ok. I give one star only because I cannot leave 0 stars. A week ago I scheduled a 4:30 appointment on Saturday for a Covid booster. During the week I received email and text messages reminding me of the appointment. They recommended I complete my consent forms on line to speed up the process. I did so. I arrive 5 minutes early and check in. I then proceeded to sit there for 30 minutes while watching the Pharmacist chat with a friend for ten or more minutes. He then wondered back and forth behind the counter doing anything but filling prescriptions. I finally gave up and requested the clerk return my card. Any apology? No. Any reference to the fact I had an appointment a half hour ago. Never again will I go to Walgreens. We took it back to Walgreens and the pharmacist basically said I was lying and I set it up that way. I did become frustrated because I do not like to be accused of lying.
