Great store but shelves are half full most of the time and pharmacy shuts down often due to short staff. The employees here are always friendly. Apparently this location gets hard hit by shoplifters since it's close to the burnside max station and the bottle drop. I love using the app to get additional discounts but the prices in the app are different than the store labels. Some employees will honor the app prices but some will not. I had a passport photo taken yesterday and requested a digital copy sent to me for online renewal. After several hours I had not received this so I called Willow and asked when I should expect it. She said corporate says 10 minutes to 24 hours. Today, after 24 hours, I called back since Willow told me she could resend them if I do not receive them. So, three phone calls later speaking to same person named Crystal who 1) told me printer was down so emailing was impossible. 2) there was no one there matching my description of Willow obviously I called the wrong store and I was lying. She said I need to go to different store and have photo retaken!!!!!And after I found Willows name I called to prove it was that store she told me Willow was wrong, she should not have told me that and hung up on me. First, Willow was a delight. She takes customer service seriously and is easily able to multi task without compromising customers. She told me she does passport photos every day and that it is nonstop. Second Crystal (a manager for 2 years she boasted) was neither willing to actually find out if my request could be done she just shut it down. RUDE EMPLOYEE! Manager was super nice. She was really working hard trying to help everyone. It was only her and another employee. That employee was actually very lazy and only wanted to stand at the register. She had zero customer service, I even tried to make small conversation to make her smile and nothing. Well I was doing some couponing and pressed the button for some body wash. I was standing there for like 5 mins and no one showed up. I went to the register and and the rude employee if she can help me whenever she gets a chance . I went back to the body wash and waited still nothing. Went back and she still had a line of 2 people . Finally when she was done she just stood there at the register. She tried to look at the corner of her eye my direction and still stood there. I asked her can she help me open the case now. She was upset because she had to walk and open a case. Once I saw she was upset I was over it . We walked up together to register she took another customer before she rang me up. We finished our transaction and she walked away from the register and slammed the door and started talking under her breath. I told her she's rude and her attitude sucks. No stars this is the worst pharmacy in the world. Trying to pick up my script for a week. They are either closing early or not ready when I get there after they call and say it is. Have to take half a day off from work just to stand in line a be treated like crap. They go to lunch promptly at 1:30 and close the gate. I understand the city has failed you but you have utterly failed the city. You are doing our neighborhood more harm by keeping this pharmacy open and running it this poorly than you would be by closing it down. What a pathetic place this is. Checked Thursday after waiting for an overdue prescription fulfillment, was told it was being worked on. Walgreens = GREEDY. Made an APPOINTMENT for flu and Covid shots for me and my kids (including taking the time to fill out all the online paperwork). A few hours before the appointment, I get a call saying they ran out of pediatric Covid shots because of walk-ins, and so I could go back online to reschedule for a few days later when they'd *hopefully* have more in. This Walgreens is barely hanging on in this NE neighborhood; however, I have seen it generally get 'safer' and probably less theft. The whole little shopping plaza has done improvements with security and moving the bottle drop. I very much enjoy the photo projects Walgreens produce and really only come to this store to pick up my photo projects. I do enjoy going through their seasonal aisle too. The worst Walgreen in town! I ordered my print and paid online. Went to pick it up and I get they are short of staff but my print was ready for pick up. Came to the store and waited for someone just to grab and go instead my manager said the photo department was closed due to short staffs and told me to come back tomorrow. It only takes 5 seconds for him to give me my print, everything was paid for and now I have to drive back again. I went for vaccines today. It took a while even with my appointment. However the tech was nice, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.They only have 3staff members in the pharmacy. I'm a former employee from this location and all of you that have been coming at 7am! I truly apologize! I would be there I'm Christine was a shift lead! I got terminated! I was wrongfully terminated! Jan 8th! We would have been open! And I was letting ppl get pictures taking passports lately and whoever wasn't was absolutely ridiculous I'd report it that's my only advice! We've been working on staffing it's hard when ppl call out and don't wanna work! But say they want a job! I'm shocked to hear these comments but than again not! I was at this pharmacy today and was standing in line and the pharmacy tech. Ho starts yelling at me and I wasn't in line I had a simple question about something they had behind the counter as I look over the other tech was yelling at one of there customer. I let her know that she was very rude she said covid you have to stand 6 feet apart I asked her name said nice cover up. These people are very rude and disrespectful. Unlike other pharmacies, they do not feel the need to contact you to let you know that your prescription is not available & won't be for nearly a week. Imagine my absolute disgust when I arrive there for THE SECOND time only to be told that my much needed medication was out of stock and would not be in for nearly another week! We dropped by to purchased a mouth guard for my bf. He grinds his teeth at night and his dentist has him wear one nightly. Well, of course he forgot it on this trip to Portland. There are Two Redbox Kiosks outside. It is Better to get your Flu Shot before you actually get the Flu as well. Did you know, you can get your Packing Tape here? And there are some Other Items that you would NOT usually associate with a Pharmacy at Walgreens. There are usually Plenty of Tums, Rolaids and Alka Seltzers for when you have eaten too many McDonald's French Fries up the Street. Walgreens sells Wine and Beer... in case you want to buy it nearby. Have you tried the Wine in a Box, yet. It is Free to get a Rewards Card... you'll save money if you use it EVERY time you shop at Walgreens as well. The Greeting Card Aisle is Huge. There is a Section of Pre Packaged Frozen Foods in case you have to pick up something to Microwave back at your location. Did you need a Newer Toothbrush... buy one here. Told me when a prescription would be ready, and then claimed they'd been "too busy" to get to it, then admitted they'd lost it and my doctor would have to call back in. Slipped in some profanity beneath his breath...great service. Photo is also horrible - consistently dark images and over three orders, two were missing pictures. I've been a Walgreens costumer for about 8 years now and have had mostly good experiences. Unfortunately this location is incredibly disorganized and under-staffed. Nearly every time I've come to pick up a refill of a prescription, it's not ready or they fill the incorrect one. Even when I have received multiple text and phone call notifications that my prescription is ready, the pharmacist seems to have no idea that my prescription is supposed to be ready. I've had doctors call in prescriptions telling me that they'll be ready to pick up when I get there (antibiotics for an infection and Vicodin for a root-canal) and they're still not ready. It's not exactly fun to sit in a Walgreens for 40 minutes for Vicodin when you're still waking up from a dental procedure. These are most likely problems with their computer and organizational system but it makes the relatively short line take for ever since each patient is probably dealing with similar mistakes. The last time I went there, I picked up my prescription and almost walked out the door until I realized it was the wrong one. After almost 8 months of giving them a chance I've decided to transfer my prescriptions to a local independent pharmacy. read more

After another horrible experience at the Safeway pharmacy across the street, Walgreens saved the day! I have an ear infection and am boarding a plane tomorrow. Needed my meds ASAP. Safeway told me they'd be ready at noon yesterday, waited in line there for 20 minutes at 5pm, only to be told they didn't have amoxicillin in the pharmacy at all. I went to Walgreens, they phoned Safeway, got my prescription, and had it filled within 30 minutes! I spent less time getting my medication at Walgreens than I did the entire time I was at Safeway. So happy to be officially switched over to the Walgreens pharmacy! I highly recommend them! I will never give Safeway another dime. read more

We have used the Pharmacy for several years and have always found the Pharmacist and techs to be hard working and friendly. In the last few months the lack of staffing and heavy customer traffic has made it very difficult to get a prescription in a reasonable time frame. I have complained to the Store Manager and wonder what in the world Corporate Walgreens is thinking. Yesterday I witnessed a Pharmacist trying to fill prescriptions and help customers at the drive up window. There was only one Tech working and she was handling the long line of customers waiting to pick up or drop off prescriptions. I am sure that Walgreens is making a lot of money on their Pharmacy and wonder why the Corporate leaders are allowing this to happen. I think a Corporate Executive should work in the Pharmacy of this location for one full week and maybe then they would wise up. read more
