I was on hold for 20 minutes until the system hung up on me. Drove down to the store while on hold, arrived and there was no line, no phones ringing, just silence. I asked if they were having trouble with their phones. The woman just looked at me. I feel like if you don't know there is a problem with receiving calls, you should be informed especially with this type of business. Instead she took me aside and gave me to the pharmacist. This was who I needed so I asked my question about a medication availability. She said they didn't have the liquid. I asked about tablets. She told me I needed to wait for her to give someone a vaccination. Ok, I get it, this live guy is waiting for his vaccine and I'm just a hospice nurse trying to find a med close by for a dying patient urgently. Could the other lady look for the tablets? On a Tuesday I had to pick up prescriptions for my daughter, and There is a few techs here that are probably new, and still learning I get it. But I do see them trying their best to help the customers with a smile and good attitude, so these stars are for them. However there is one tech there that just gives attitude everytime she attends me. I seen her give attitude to all 3 people she helped while I waited on line. Straight up rude and no greeting, only "What's your last name" looking like she didn't want to be there and slamming everything. If I could give a zero I absolutely would. They have the worst service ever that I have dealt with. Every month it is a constant fight to get a prescription filled. And for some odd reason, they are always out of medication when speaking to the pharmacist today, she advised me that it is a first come first serve basis for any medication. I advised her that this is a medication that cannot be stopped abruptly and she said that I will need to contact the doctor to have the prescription move to a different pharmacy rather than trying to reach out on her own. Today was my last day ever *trying* to buy anything from Walgreens pharmacy. This is for both Renton and Burien locations. I know this review doesn't mean anything to them, but hopefully it saves someone else the frustration I've been through... Had my prescription sent here. It was accepted and processed. Drive down to pick it up and after 20 minutes in the drive-thru behind one single car, it was my turn at the window. Sat for about 5 more minutes without anyone acknowledging me. When the seemingly lone pharmacist did come to the window, she told me my prescription wasn't ready. I go home and then get a call a few hours later. Turns out this location can't fill one of my needs with the proper strength and asks me to call the Burien location to ask them to fill the prescription. I call Burien. Wait on hold. Then I'm told I need to speak with the dispensing pharmacist and am put on hold again. The line disconnects after 30 minutes. I call back. I'm put on hold again for the dispensing pharmacist. The line disconnects after 50 minutes. I try to call back again and am again at the back of the queue. I give up. I cancel the prescription and decide never again will I use this pharmacy. read more

Absolutely, and consistently the worst service I've ever experienced. Stressed a rude staff. I spoke to managers over the years and it does not appear to be getting better. This location is literally toxic. Had to explain to my four year-old why people were passed out with needles in their arms just behind the drive-through. Doctors cannot get in touch with them due to hold times, which staffers blame on understaffing and a lack of company support. If you do not speak to someone in person at the location you may not receive support. On multiple occasions I've spent over an hour on the phone only to my call disconnected by staff without ever saying a word. The location is in desperate need of financial support from their company. They are chronically understaffed. At times not having a pharmacist or pharmacy technicians pulling temporary team members from 60+ miles away for a day at a time. read more

Well how about a pharmacy where the staff tend to be overwhelmingly apathetic, sometimes flat out obtuse, and overall happily send people with no transportation and are barely mobile to other pharmacies, simply because they don't feel like making an exception under certain circumstances. God forbid you have new insurance, some typo in the system, or even if the computer has a slight glitch. In short, if you are looking for a poor customer experience where you might literally die in line waiting for your meds, this is your place. read more

I'd give it less than one star if possible. I worked for a Walgreens and still work in retail. The lack of communication breaks my heart. I left hurt and annoyed. I came in for photos I ordered online. The machine was down. I can accept that. Then everyone just walked away ignoring me and left me to figure out how to use the photo machine. After I placed an order they said I would have a 5 hour wait for the photos and said I should receive my money back online eventually. Hopefully I do, I don't want to come back there again. After a week of calling, finally got someone to answer. Then, I got someone saying my prescription was ready. Drove there the next day, and you probably guessed it, no prescription ready. Spent 30 mins in the drive through waiting and they told me it was going to be another 30 mins and to wait. Then I went back and they didn't have it ready. Outside of the mostly-friendly pharmacy staff, trying to get a prescription filled is a nightmare. Every month my prescription is delayed when renewing it on the app, and will endlessly be put on hold if I try calling in. I have to go down to the store just to have them press a button and then have to leave empty handed because only then will it enter the queue... If you really like stopping by a Walgreens a couple times to get your prescriptions every month and hate being able to contact them, then check it out. So, the store is generally well stocked and the workers who are there are typically very nice and professional, as far as normal transactions go. The one issue I see is that they seem to chronically understaffed. It shows in the length of the lines, in the visible stress of employees trying to get something done and needing to call for help but others and the manager seem to be on break. Breaks they should be able to take without worry of being rushed back due to understaffing. This is most obvious when you go to pick up a Fed Ex package, an in-store pick up of an online purchase or photos. I have never waited for less than 15 minutes to just grab my package. There are usually several of us. Different days and times of day don't matter. They always have to page for someone and it always seems like the person showing up is doing so begrudgingly. Not an employee issue. A management issue and likely a super frustrating one for management, as well. As a disabled person who isn't usually visibly disabled, I have been begging Fed Ex to have local pickup options somewhere else, because I never leave without being in significant pain. read more

If I could give this pharmacy zero stars, or a negative rating, I would. Called three times to check on an RSV shot for my dad. Was told 3 times, "Come in, you don't need an appointment." We bring my 97-year old dad in, and we are told that we had to make an appointment. I told them that I called them three times just to be sure, and was told to just drop in. They kept denying that anybody told me that. They blamed it on the call center. I told them I spoke directly with their pharmacy, but they fought me on that, too. I asked them to make an adjustment, since it's hard to get dad out, and he really needs the shot. The pharmacist was frazzled, negative and totally uncooperative. He was downright rude. It was also disheartening to see him chewing out the assistant working the front counter on an unrelated issue. She could not have been more wonderful and easy to work with. He was nasty to everybody. He wouldn't budge. Not even an apology. We rolled dad out and saw the people in line with the sweetest most apologetic expressions on their faces. One gentle giant who looked like a linebacker looked at us so compassionately. One of the customers in line even found us on our way out, and apologized for the poor treatment. She patted my dad on the shoulder, and told my dad that he looked great! Thank goodness for great folks that turned a bad situation into something that warmed my heart. Walgreens Pharmacy - Address: 3011 Sunset Blvd NE, Renton, WA 98056 I'm a senior and take more than 10 medications daily. I have refilled my medications at the above Walgreens. In April 2024 I went to the store to pick up my medications twice, but they told me don't have enough medications and asked me to come back on May 2nd, 2024. When I came back on that day, they said that can't give medications to me due to my Part D ending on 04/30/2024. Then I called my healthcare provider, the representative says the pharmacy cancelled my medications on April 21st, 2024, while I can have them until end of April. The Walgreen pharmacy didn't refill my medications and cancelled them without noticing me, so I don't have any medications to take due to my drug plan being inactive. I definitely won't come back to this pharmacy once my plan is active and DON'T RECOMMEND Walgreens pharmacy to my families and friends. read more

I got an alert on my phone saying "your prescription is delayed due to an insurance issue, no need to call we're working it out." I got this notification two days in a row, and decided to call anyway. Apparently the insurance issue was that they don't take my insurance. They had no intention of calling me to let me know. They take forever to fill urgent prescriptions my surgeon called in, then when I call to check status, Im put on hold for 15 min, the phone rings for 4 min and then they pick up and hang up on me. This has happened several times. Then when my husband went to go there to pick up, they were very rude and said to come back in a couple of hours. Still not ready after it was called in 6 hours ago. I've been going to this pharmacy location for years and though they're slow, I've never had a problem until today. But I will never go there again. Today I had a scheduled vaccine appointnent, and showed up 5 minutes before the appointed time. Apparently, the appointed time means that you get to go there at that time and stand in their long, long line with everyone else waiting to get any help from the pharmacy. After waiting for half an hour, it was my turn at the counter. After the guy at the computer looked up my appointment, I had to stand aside and wait while one computer system communicated with another system. After that was done, I had to wait again until someone (not the person at the register) manually approved something. I admit that I was anxious and antsy about getting seen. Finally, finally, I was taken into a tiny dark room where the pharmacist was surly and literally sneered at me. He told me I shouldn't hurry them, and I told him they should respect appointments, in response to which he said, "Really??!" like I was out of line, and put on an aghast face. He also asked me both my birthdate (standard) and my age. Why the age when I've just confirmed my birthdate?? When I looked at him funny, he said he had to ask. Really? I've never had anyone ask that when getting a vaccine. I don't blame the other people there; they were working hard. But I have lost faith in the company overall and I found the palpable animosity from someone who was about to give me a vaccine disturbing. I kind of also think someone was on hold on the other end of the line to the pharmacy for the entire time I was there (almost an hour). Terrible. They always charge different prices for the same prescriptions, paid for by the same insurance, EVERY TIME we pick up our medicines. They cannot explain, for example, one month a medicine was 600 and then the next month was 25. We even spoke to their corporate office and NO ONE could explain it. This happens with almost every medicine we get monthly. This last time, when I called them to see if my prescription was ready and the person answered almost sounded HAPPY that my medicine was full price. It turns out THEY WERE CHARGING MY PREVIOUS INSURANCE COMPANY for the past 3 months. Now I have to go through the trouble of making sure they reimburse us for every dime they overcharged us...over $1000.00. When I complained about it (not in a mean or loud way) I was told "If that's how you feel, you should probably go to another pharmacy." Yes, they actually said that, and so that's what I did. Luckily my insurance mail-order pharmacy is available to us. This is what happens when no one owns their own business anymore. Worst pharmacy ever. The staff is rude, my prescriptions are never ready and/or I am told it's too early or too late to pick up. Every month I have a single prescription called in by my doc, I go to pick it up, wait forever only to be told it's not ready and to come back later. Impossible to get through on the phone and when I do get down to see a live human, they are snotty and show no empathy whatsoever. The attitude is "it's not my problem it's yours". Add to that the rats in the parking lot by the drive thru, I will drive farther to a different location to avoid the disgusting behavior and location. read more

Pulled up and there were two police cars in the parking lot with one right in front of the door. I don't know what happened... nor did I ask, but that's never a good sign nor could it be good for business. Maybe that's why we were able to get in and out so fast. I think the police presence may have scared some of the customers away. The reason I came was to get two different types of eye drops due to allergies. Walgreens generally tends to have a decent selection. I actually use three but I still have some of the other bottle. This store looks like it has seen better days and staff are not as helpful as they are in other stores. The older woman at the checkout was polite and helpful, so no problems there. This was one of the only times I was not asked for change in the parking lot! This is not the best Walgreens. But they get three stars, fast in and got what I needed while there was no line to check out! read more
