Memories last forever! I completed the print job online at 2p but didn't know if it would be printed on time for same day. So I called Walgreens to check and see if it's doable. This was my experience. I had my doctor send a prescription over to this pharmacy. Walgreens acknowledged they received it. But this was AFTER I asked the tech to double check the computer because she first said she couldn't find the prescription! Finally, she said they would get the medication filled within the hour. When they hadn't done this after an hour, the nurse from my doctor's office called them and Walgreens said my insurance would not cover the medication. So I got on the phone and called my insurance. My insurance said they will cover the medication and that Walgreens may not have checked my insurance coverage. So, are the workers at Walgreens just lazy??? I should not have chosen them based on the reviews, but I wanted to decide on my own. Well, too bad my experience was NEGATIVE! read more

So I had called customer service as I was on hold for over an hour and disconnected. I purposely mentioned that I'd spoken with the pharmacist last time I drove there, stood in line and was on hold at that point for over 40 minutes and she'd let me know how swamped they were, had asked the manager to hire more employees and I knew she was doing her best. She was awesome. The store manager called this morning and the tension in his voice! They only have one line for calls and they need to spend about 20 minutes on each call to answer the questions former Rite Aid and Bartel's customers have and you wouldn't want us to not explain things tight? That's all good but how does a customer get a hold of you if they have questions if your system is swamped? Oh no our phone system is fine. So is there a way to message on line? Change of subject then focusing on my pain meds for chronic pain and why would I need something stronger for surgery? (Doesn't hipa prevent store employees from knowing a customers meds?) Then he says The pharmacist needs to call the surgeon and make sure he knows I take pain meds for migraines and arthritis so maybe none for fractures?Weirdest call ever. Then he says he'll pray for me. Sweet, I can always use more prayer and I let the ladies in my Bible study that I lead know how nice he was to say that. I needed meds for a migraine, ones that I get every month and since it took 3 to 5 days at the sunset Walgreens to get a partial fill I started sending my scripts to 4th street. they have better stock but I was on hold for over an hour then again for 45 minutes so I drove there while still on hold. they saw my prescription in the app I showed them but couldn't find it in their system. last month the doctor called in the same script 3 times. I'd see it on the app but it kept being closed. No one could say why it was closed. They need more staff desperately or they will make a terrible mistake. We received a script once with the wrong name, right meds, wrong name. Every few months I'm shorted 20 pills regardless of the second set of initials. Count that day or they won't give you the rest. read more

So far, not looking good to use as my pharmacy. Everywhere I looked online said it's open 10am to 10pm. They texted at 5:53pm that my meds were ready. I go to pick them up and they closed at 6:00pm. In tiny print on main Walgreens website it says they close at 6. So 4 minutes late and I can't get my meds. Their pharmacy operating hours should definitely be more prominent. Not ok since you are a PHARMACY. Fortunately, there are other places nearby. This will get 1 more chance then I go somewhere else. If they do better then I'll change this. read more

Absolutely horribly run pharmacy. There is ALWAYS a wait and line inside or drive through but today was the last straw. Not only are they too incompetent to help a SINGLE customer in 30 minutes but they charge more than any other pharmacy in the area. 30 minutes in line and I had to leave before they served one person. The same person was at the window when I left as when I arrived. Out of 5 stars, I give this horrible pharmacy a big fat 0. Why is it so hard to find a really good pharmacy? I wouldn't have had to find a new one if HimeRX hadn't closed down. Walgreens in Renton Highlands is THE worst pharmacy ever. I usually have someone pick up my prescriptions for me because I'm disabled. I called in 2 prescriptions to be refilled. When the person picking them up brought them home, I found both bottles to be the same prescription. One was for a 30 count, the other 90. So, I had to call Walgreens to get them to refill my prescription for Levothyroxine. The guy that I talked to was EXTREMELY rude and kept arguing with me. I told him I received 2 bottles of the same prescription and that I needed my thyroid medication as soon as possible. He kept sighing and huffing with me, like it was putting him out. I told him, look, don't give me problems. I need my medication. Finally, he says that it will be filled, and I could pick it up tomorrow by 11am. When the person who picks up my medication for me got to Walgreens and talked to a pharmacist about my prescription to be picked up, she said that they hadn't received a request for a refill. So, my person had to wait why the pharmacist filled it up. What is wrong with you Walgreens? You need to STEP UP and do MUCH BETTER. For a start, hire competent pharmacists who actually know what they're doing. Secondly, your employees who answer the phone are horrendous. They severely lack in customer service. I need to find a better pharmacy. I've tried Bartell's, CVS and Safeway. They're all terrible. Anyone know of a decent pharmacy? If so, please let me know. read more

Came here yesterday at 6:02pm, the tech already walked out the store... so I came the next day b4 they closed for lunch break, the customer at the counter took forever and the 2nd pharmacy tech and also the Ops Mgr (Nam maybe his name) showed NO customer services and kept ignoring me and helped the drive thru as there were 2 cars came AFTER me. I went up to the counter and knocked on the table to ask to be helped at once as they were getting ready to close down for their lunch break.. unbelievable! Can I make this a '0' rating? Cust service at this locale has gas gone from bad to horrendous. Drivethru hours were overwhelmed by outside civid testing. First limiting, then eliminating picking up Rxs via driv-thru; hardly convenient for those of us with mobility handicaps. Phoned in Rx renewals Friday, for Sat pickups. I actually spoke with a tech who confirmed Sat pickup. Sat comes around and pharmacy totally closed again - they cannot staff. Monday show up after work & pharmacy now closes at 6?! No notice. No warnings. Perhaps biggest frustration was front-line store mgr who could have cared less - absolutely no apology for inconvenience and was perturbed I actually asked why pharmacy wasn't opened at 7p. DO NOT GET YOUR COVID TEST HERE!!! Following Hawaiian state guidelines, they suggested that I used Walgreens as a testing facility. I was required to get the test within 72 hours of leaving the mainland so I got it about 48 hours before. Worst pharmacy experience that I have had in my 40 years on this planet. My prescriptions were called in 7 days before my surgery, and they take 6 days to not fill them and now I am left either driving to other cities Walgreens to pick them up, or spend time calling around trying to find a drug that takes 3 days to fill. They had 7. They failed, and did not even have the common courtesy to apologize for their error, instead they act like its MY fault they couldn't do their job. So now, less than 24 hours before my surgery I am missing a medication that takes 3 days to fill. They really gave it to me hard this time, for the last time. I will never step foot into another Walgreens, and I have 3 people already switching their prescriptions to other pharmacy's. Terrible customer service. I don't mind waiting on a script. I am aware there can be long lines as well. However my daughter had a surgery and required medications afterward to help her body do what it needed to. I knew I needed to stop there and get her meds but didn't know the exact names or how many. She also has prescriptions filled there regularly so when I picked up all of her meds they did not tell me that there was one that they were unable to fill. If they had I would have immediately started finding where I could get it filled but I was not informed. This was a pretty important prescription for her recovery. She was not progressing as expected so we went back and reviewed her discharge info and realized there was a missing medication. I called them and they said they had no prescriptions for her. I dug a bit deeper to see if they had filled the script at any point. They then saw the script for that medication and said well we don't have it in stock that is why it didn't get filled. They had the prescription but couldn't fill it and they told no one. They didn't even do an email notification. I am very angry to be honest. One simple step would have made a big difference. My child's prescription was "delayed" due to being out of stock and I never received any notification. Probably not this location's fault. I finally called around 5pm and got in touch with a pharmacist to ask about status because kid's sick with an infection, has had a fever all day, and I want his antibiotics, now 24 hours later. What follows is a confusing and entirely unhelpful discussion where I find that the out-of-stock drug would cost me $400+ because it's name brand Augmentin. When I inquire about generics I get a non-answer (unclear if it's the prescribing provider's fault, the insurance, or Walgreens) but he does not seem interested in helping me understand the problem. He gets me off the phone advising me to get the urgent care provider to write a new prescription. And to send it to a different pharmacy because they're closing in an hour. I'm currently trying to get in touch with the urgent care clinic to figure out if they actually DID prescribe name brand only and what my options are, but super unimpressed with the lack of customer service here. I could've found this out at 8am or something and sorted it out in the morning, instead I had to call them myself because there were no status updates and then call just to be told I'd be gouged for a name brand antibiotic and given no other options other than cancelling the prescription. read more

I had a scheduled time for a vaccination...50 minutes later I finally got the vaccine. When I inquired about the delay, the response I was given by the pharmacist was "well, you are just lucky we are open". I get staff shortages and the challenges every business has with this right now. However, a little communication up front (either verbally or a sign on the counter) about the delays would have been appreciated and allowed me to make a decision to wait it out or come back another time. There is an expectation when you have scheduled an appointment. In addition, there was no sense of urgency in either the pharmacist or the person working the register - in fact the pharmacist appeared to almost intentionally be moving and behaving like he was moving like molasses. read more

Well I wanted to give them a chance...well I guess multiple chances. The pharmacy is inefficient and randomly closed all the time. They are always understaffed or they have a lot of people but only one person helping customers. I set up Yelp just to say this: I have had nothing but great and helpful service from everyone that works at this location that doesn't work in the pharmacy. The pharmacists are the most rude, incompetent ***holes I've ever dealt with. Today I noticed they were charging me full price on my prescriptions when i should not have had a copay. The woman on the phone rudely hurried the conversation along without explaining anything. Months prior when they were charging me (not full price but still more than zero copay) and I inquired, they told me to talk to my insurance, like I was a moron. I was fine with paying the small amount but when today I saw it was full price I decided to deal with it. I talked to my insurance, and I was correct. I asked my insurance rep. to call them, and they came back on the line and said "well I got nowhere with them and if i were you, I'd switch pharmacies." I did. And no issues at all at rite aid, zero copay. I reiterate. I don't have an issue with the clerks or managers. They have always given me outstanding service and I will continue to shop there. But hopefully, some area manager can see this one star review stand out look into it. The marque says they're hiring a pharmacy tech...wouldn't hurt starting from scratch. Awful. read more

this pharmacy has to be by far the worst Walgreens pharmacy I have ever used. They are closed on random days due to lack of staff, but there's no automated message when you call during normal business hours to let you know this it just rings and rings and when you show up to pick up prescriptions that your doctors have faxed over for you, they end up being closed because they're short on staff and then you have to call your doctor and try and get to get ahold of them to see if you can get the prescription sent to a different pharmacy if you were written, a prescription or prescription was sent over from an emergency room trying to get a hold of the doctors is a pain. They should have somebody who can at least manage the phones remotely or from headquarters or some sort of automated message letting you know they're closed or letting the doctors offices know that they're closed when they fax over prescriptions so that they can fax elsewhere. It's just ridiculous. I've been trying to pick up a prescription for antibiotics for my daughter for four days and getting a hold of her doctors office has been a pain in the butt and every day I go to Walgreens and every day they're still closed due to lack of stuff. I think at this point you need to hire some new stuff or transfer some in from another location because it's ridiculous.. read more

This review only for pharmacy Manager & all the staffs are horrible, incompetent employees. Lacking in training how to work with the system or didn't bother to Re type the new claim of copay or overdrive it. All they want is taking full amount money of medication to their own pocket even though the insurance helper has told a gal staff "customer no needs to pay full amount " just less than $7.00 /copay. I speak less when the staff told me to pay full amount afterward. However, during that time happened the Walgreen "pharmacy manager" was there doing nothing, no bothered to help others rather than just seat on chair, pick up a phone to speak with his family in his own language after came over. Closes randomly, schedules are going earlier every year. Staff are becoming progressively more paranoid and twitchy every month as if I or others are going to mug them, despite having shopped here for years. I understand the neighborhood is going in a bad direction but, sheesh, the vibe the staff are giving and the atmosphere here, you'd think I was back in Detroit. The grocery store across the street has all the same struggles, without any such tense vibe. I do most of my shopping there as Walgreens keeps closing early or the staff just act weird and I never feel uncomfortable at the grocery store. I've been living around the Renton area for ten years, it's not THAT bad! If they stopped the attitude and random hour changes I would consider giving them a four or five star, like in the past. read more

Use any pharmacy but this one. I've never had a good experience here. Because of that, I called ahead to make sure my prescriptions were ready, and I was told that they were. So I went to the store and waited for a half an hour in the drive-through line. When I finally reached the window, I was told that the prescriptions were not ready and would have to come in and wait at least 15 more minutes. Please take your business elsewhere. read more
