I'm over-the-moon thrilled that I have finally found a pharmacy nearby my home that actually acts with professionalism. After moving to Renton over a year ago and going transferring my family's prescriptions to three different pharmacies, I am pleased to have a pharmacy that can fill a script in a timeline they can adhere to. Stopped by last night because I needed to pick up my medicine from an urgent care visit. Turns out everyone and their mother is sick and they are super busy. The difference with this visit, is we started out in drive-through, and my husband was driving. When we pulled up, it was Nam who was manning the desk. What transpired was an eye awakening experience, ending with me turning to my husband and saying, "So that's the way he talks to most people!!" Wooowee is he rude!. Turns out, the prescription that was supposed to be ready was not and I needed it now, so we had to go in, but goodness did he give him the run around. "Is the prescription ready?" "It's not here." "What do you mean it's not here?" "Well it's just not ready" "Oh". So we went inside, and as soon as Nam saw me, he was super nice. But! I got to see what all these other people were talking about, and I feel bad, cause I would *hate* to have to talk to that other Nam. read more

Visited Walgreens today. I do my best not to refill prescriptions here because I feel like I always get the run around or it isn't ready-BUT today was exceptional! Nam said I am refilling 5 days early (yes! I am going on Vacay so that is why MY DR called it in!!!) and that I can't get it. Then he proceeds to tell me I should have some medicine from last month left at home?! I came unglued! This isn't his job! I don't need to explain my life to this man! Completely out of line! Luckily when I came in and talked to the woman pharmacist she was wonderful, I also talked to the store manager who was very kind! I do plan to fill prescriptions elsewhere from here on out. I would rather walk in to good customer service than drive thru w crumby service! read more

The pharmacy as many others have mentioned is terrible. I constantly receive texts that my prescription is ready to pick up and every single time, without fail, that I show up it is still not ready. They recently just told me a prescription that was suppose to already be filled was "not in stock." They also are not very apologetic and do not do a good job at finding a solution for their customers. Having my prescriptions sent elsewhere. read more

The middle aged female manager who works here and was working on the morning of August 4th is extremely RUDE and should not be working a job that involves customer service. If my husband and crying 2 month old baby weren't waiting for me in the car I would have told her this in person. Not only was she very rude to me and the nice young man working the photo desk, she was also awful to a guy who couldn't speak English. He was trying his best to explain what he needed and she made SURE to embarrass him in the middle of the store. I normally have a decent experience at Walgreens but this woman acted like she was the Queen of Sheba and we were all freaking peasants. read more

Pharmacy is extremely irresponsible. Went in today and the pharmacist wasn't wearing a mask... during the night of a pandemic... as someone handling medications and regularly interacting with sick people this is soooo irresponsible. Also had to call twice to remind them about my prescription and when I came in it still wasn't ready. read more

The pharmacy is short staffed. As soon as they get a good trained person, they seem to disappear. I assume they get transferred to another location. This is the reason I will transfer my account to another store. read more

Very unimpressed, Wife and I have stopped by not once but THREE times to get passport photos taken, once even called before to verify all was well. Not once have we been able to actually take the pictures. Twice we have had the computer system be down and once they actually had no picture paper. By the way this is all within 2 weeks, that is sad!! read more

This Walgreens is HORRIBLE only if I could give them negative stars. I been going to this store everyday for a whole week because they keep saying that it will be on the shelve the item I'm trying to purchase. Well they said that they will put it on hold for me once they open the shipment and they will call me. 1. They never called. 2. I came in later in the day and associate said that they never put anything on hold. In other worlds "what the hell!?!?!" I don't understand what is their problem and why everyone states different stories? Associate keep telling me to place order online. I explain to them I cannot because I'm using specific card that does cannot be done online. I guess those associates are not being thought what customers are saying. I think managers exists to team employees not chit chat with other people about no sense. I will never shop at Walgreens ever again. Pharmacist dispensed capsule form of medication and claimed it was the same as the powder packets my MD ordered, only placed in capsules. This medication dosage is only dispensed in the packet form, per manufacturers website and my MD. I did not even realize this until I got home and opened my bag, I called right away. I took a closer look at the label on the med bottle....looked very fishy. No name of drug, no dosage, no description of pill, no directions. No info insert. The pharmacist told me none of what I knew about the med was true and it was all a lie. When I returned my med, and requested help to order from another walgreens. The pharmacist said he called already several and no one has the drug he also claimed he could not help me anymore because their computer was suddenly down. The Walgreens down the street had it ready for me within 15mins. I am sad to say, I will never trust another pharmacy again. My trust is gone in most of humanity as it is. Look at what you are taking before you take it people!! Who knows what else my family and I have injested because we trusted our pharmacist/techs too much. If I were were able to give them less than one star I would. Not sure if the pharmacy staff is incompetent or if Walgreens systems are so poor that they find it so challenging to fill a prescription, either way I have never been able to pick up all prescriptions at one time. They are sent to the pharmacy at the same time but when I get there to pick them up one will be done but not the others. Then the pharmacist asks if I need the others? Well, why would I take the time to see my doctor, have her fax in the script, drive to Walgreens if I didn't?!?! Switching to Costco. So frustrating! read more

Typically I use Safeway or Haggen Pharmacy. This time I went to Haggen to refill a prescription. My insurance only covers so many of this medication a month so I have to pay for any quantity over this amount. The refill would have been $66.49. Unfortunately they were out of the medication and recommended Walgreens across the street. I had Haggen Pharmacy transfer the prescription to Walgreens. I went to Walgreens' pharmacy to get my prescription. They wanted $225.99. I took the prescription and went back to Haggen Pharmacy. The pharmacist at Haggen was amazed at what I was charged and he said that was way too much. He should only charge you what they would typically get from my insurance. They have the ability to override the system amount and charge you what your insurance would normally pay. So I went back to Walgreens. There was a woman in line ahead of me picking up her medication. They wanted nearly $300. She said I normally pay you $59.00 here at this pharmacy when I refill. The pharmacist said your insurance will not pay for these so the price is $300. She told him to keep the medicine and she would never shop there again. When I stepped up to the counter I told him you had overcharged me for this medication. I get my refills for $66.49. The Haggen pharmacist said you overcharged me for this medication. He checked the computer and said your insurance would not cover this refill. I said, "you should still charge me the same price that the insurance company would pay you!" The pharmacist said your price is $225.00. I handed him the prescription and said I want a refund. They refunded my money. The first issues is Walgreens Pharmacy is ripping off customers by charging 4 times what the insurance company would pay. The second issue is I had left the store with the medication. Returned and they refunded my money and took back the medication. I watched them return the medication to the shelf. They should never do that. The medication could have been tainted. Word of advice - Never shop Walgreens pharmacy. They rip you off. read more

Terrible service in the pharmacy. First off, I'm SICK that is why I'm waiting for three prescriptions. It is not an opportunity for the cashier to lecture me about getting a WA drivers licence. I just moved here and if I wasn't deathly ill I'd be at the DMV jerk face. Second, don't tell me it will be thirty minutes and then cop an attitude with me when I drag my butt back in 45 minutes. Just picked up 6 prescriptions from the pharmacy only to get home and have a voicemail saying to call them back. The Pharmacist proceeds to explain they didn't charge me for one of my prescription and wants me to come all the way back. I explained to him I'm sick and don't have a car, so no I can't come back for a $10 error they made. He then tries to blame me saying my card declined for the one $10 prescription, but went through for all the others. Apparently this man is not so smart because that's not how debit cards work. They either accept or decline a total charge not line by line. I explained this to him and then miraculously now "it's all good" and he will take care of the $10. I looked at my receipt and sure enough they only scanned 5 prescriptions. Do not punish your customers, especially those who are sick, with your employees' mistakes. I suggest taking it out of their paycheck instead of harassing me. Next time I will stick to Fred Meyer where I normally go and who know how to be professional and do their jobs! read more

Worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I've had a long term illness for nearly thirty years and have been a customer of many national and local pharmacies including CVS, Bartells, and Longs Drugs on the east coast, west coast, and Hawaii. By far the two worst pharmacies (in terms of slowness, mistakes, lost prescriptions, and the mistakes) that I have dealt with is the Walgreens in Issaquah, and this Walgreens in Renton. If you have a prescription to pick-up here, be prepare to wait a while EVEN when there is no one else waiting. If you do the drive-thru service, be prepared to wait at least 5-10 minutes before you will even get serviced. I think part of the problem with this pharmacy is that they lots of rotating workers to come in and work at this location. Thus, there does not seem to be any consistency at this store. Although the few people who work there consistently are very nice (including the manager), I cannot recommend this store because I would be very concerned about whether they have filled prescriptions properly . Today, after another problem filling one of my prescriptions, I have decided to leave Walgreens for good. Hugely disappointed with Walgreens particularly in light of the fact that I have been a loyal customer for many years spending a lot of money there over the years (my monthly prescriptions runs probably close to $2000). In the end, I cannot trust these people to properly fill prescriptions for me,for my wife, or for my kids. read more

Pharmacy has terrible customer service. Dropped prescription off for my daughter they said would be done in hour half. Went back about 4 hour later at that time found out they don't have the treatment. I relieved no call to let me know this. I received no apology and was treated like not their problem he just started his shift. I will never go back. No matter how inconvenient it is to go to other places. I would give no stars read more

On my way home from the hospital yesterday after having a knee replacement, my wife and I stopped at the Walgreens on 4th in Renton, to pick up pain medication. My wife explained the situation, that I was in the car waiting. She was told by the staff it would be 1/2 hour. She thought it strange as there was no one waiting. After an HOUR, I crutched my way to the pharmacy, in a great deal of pain to see what the hold up was. They said they were about to get to it. My wife had told them when she first got there that it was a work related L&I claim. It was clearly noted on the prescription, I wrote the claim number and doctor's phone number on it. When, after 1-1/2 hours when it was finally ready, they told me I had a copay for my insurance! When I told them again it was an L&I claim, I was told I have to wait longer so they could call the surgeon! I said never mind, paid the money, and spent the night in agony for having to go in the store to encourage them to do their job. I have been going to that Walgreens since it opened, but will never deal with them again! No excuse for treating a long time, in pain customer that way read more

Today I received a bad customer service by one of the employees who's around middle-aged with blonde-fried hair, fake nails, and silver dangling earrings. She suspiciously watched and followed me as I was shopping. At the check out, she was super friendly towards a customer before me but dun dUn DUN...not towards me. To her dismay, I purchased what I wanted and I told her "Have a good day." She replied with a sigh and a "yup." I don't know what kind of discrimination (we can throw in a racial card here) she had that led her to profile me and giving me a stink attitude. However, this was an epitome of a poor customer service and a lack of professionalism in an area that is culturally, racially, ethnically, religiously, social-economically---etc. etc. etc.---diverse. I have no tolerance for any backwards mentality in the 21st century especially in an area that strives for access, equity, advocacy, and empowerment for a better learning, diverse community. read more
