I don't usually go to Walgreens as my Insurance uses CVS. I came to this location because the UPS guy told me I could drop off a FedEx package for shipping at Walgreens Photo Department. I was skeptical but since it was in the next plaza over and the nearest FedEx location that I was aware of is on Lindbergh and I didn't want to deal with that traffic, my current location was bad enough. They have their own lot and it was busy! I was really disgusted on the way in by the super overflowing trash can right by the door, it was full to the brim with lots of trash just laying all around it. GROSS. I went in and passed a long line waiting for checkout. UPS worker was right! I saw a FedEx sign right there by the Photo department! I got in line behind one other person checking out and waited. And waited, and waited. The cashier was super slow, I couldn't believe she was taking as long as she did to ring up 4 candy items. Super annoying. Two saving graces and the reason for the three stars with all the other negatives. A female employee came out an employee only door and, on her way, out (assuming because she was wearing a coat), stopped and picked up a piece of trash and went in the photo area to put it in a trash can. I have seen so many walk right by something like that. Second was Ro, I think a manager, saw me waiting with a package and asked if that was all I needed to do, on the affirmative, she scanned it in, took the package. gave me a reciept, and sent me on my way. She was super nice and I appreciated her help. read more

How far can you fall! Been going to this one for almost 40 years and in the last year nothing but problems. Short staffed closing early or in the middle of the day, arguing over meds my wife has gotten from them for years (your one day too early on meds she needs), is that really happening?, giving me the wrong drugs after my total hip replacement, waiting in line for over 15 minutes often! Clean up your act, heading to CVS! Worst of all their best by far, most caring pharmacist recently quit, and she was there 20 years, that tells how low they have fallen! Oh boy read more

Pertains to the pharmacy drive thru only. Sat behind a car in a "drive thru" line for 15 minutes while other cars in other line moved through. If a situation such as insurance coverage or billing comes up, the customer should be asked to come inside and have the wait inside while the issue is resolved. Providing customer service for the one at the sacrifice for the many is not a good policy. Not heard nowadays but Kennerly Walgreens team needs "think smarter, do better". read more

The pharmacy management at this location proudly embody their 1.9 Yelp score. You might be thinking "cmon Guy, 1.9 is almost the average score on a 5 star scale!" Oh contraire... when the lowest rating you can receive is a "1", that means they are only .9 away from being perfectly terrible. I envision the staff meetings at this location having old school trend charts highlighting their awful customer satisfaction rating and staff wide cheers when the corporate performance reports come out monthly showing this locations scores as the bottom turd in the toilet. Employee coaching and development efforts must intentionally focus on "ways to dissatisfy your customer base". It takes years to perfect the art of doing everything just a little bit wrong at each and every interaction, but they nail it time after time. For a job that consists of counting to 30 dozens of time per day as your single most difficult task, they persevere and find a way to let you down. If there were only other options for my medication needs in the area I might go elsewhere but google only reports 556 options in my area. Oh well... I guess I'm stuck. read more

Photo order to be ready for pickup by 7:21 am per email confirmation. Then I received an email saying it is delayed. I needed this for a 9:00 am birthday celebration. I called at 8:45 to make sure it is done for the celebration. They have no record of the order, despite the emails I received. I had to quickly find some gift alternative. Lo and behold at 11:01 am I receive an email saying the order (the order they never received) is complete. Then I had to take more of my time to call and cancel the order (and more time to write this review!). Don't waste your time with this location (this has happened to me twice- I'm done.) Try another one. Gravois and Sappington photo dept is great - faster than ordering Chinese takeout! read more

I let the employee know I didn't feel it was appropriate to call customers that early but she did not apologize and her response was quit flippant. Dropped off a prescription at the drive-through window. It was a prescription that I needed to pick up that day so I asked the pharmacy worker to verify they had it in stock before leaving the script there. Come to find out that she either stole or misplaced this prescription without scanning it into the system. I asked them to check their security cameras which they agreed and three days later they still have not done so. They also said they would call the doctor to get the prescription replaced if not found. They have not done that nor called me prior to the doctors office p to let me know the status. I've had a lot of mess ups at this pharmacy but this takes it to a whole new level. So very disappointing! read more

There was no sign telling us this and we waited in the wrong lane for 10 min :( to be told "the test doesn't fit in that box) Then we had to get in the other lane and had to wait even longer. Ordered a prescription refill, and received an automated email saying it would be ready for pickup the next day at 10:00am. Got there around 11:00 the next day and was told that, due to insurance, it was too early to pick up. I had to wait 1 more day. The next day, assuming it would be ready early since it had originally been scheduled the previous day. But as I checked throughout the morning, it continued to say "In Progress" and "being filled". I finally called about 12:30 and was told it would be ready by 1:00. Past 2:00 and still not ready, so I called again and was told they were behind, but it would be 30-60 minutes - ready by 3:30. 3:30 came and went, and still not ready. At this point I have no idea when it will be ready, but obviously "being filled" doesn't really mean it is being filled. And an update: it is now 5:00pm and status says "Prescription out of stock, more is on the way". ARE YOU KIDDING ME? read more

For me this Walgreens is often for a quick stop - when I forgot something and don't want to deal with super long super market lines. Ironically enough, that's the very problem I end up experiencing at this location though - waiting in a line. Granted it IS still shorter and faster than parking and navigating, say the local Dierbergs or Schnucks. However I wish they the store clerks were a bit faster. Otherwise this spot is a typical Walgreens. It's located across from St Anthony's on Tesson Ferry and is dangerously close to Orange Leaf, Starbucks, and St Louis Bread Company...perhaps that's really my subconscious motivation for dropping by this particular spot! :0) read more

If you want to speak to a pharmacist you might as well not even bother. The app said there was a problem with my prescription and I needed to call the pharmacy. I called the pharmacy at 1240 and the recording said there was one caller ahead of me. I sat there for 40 minutes on hold. I tried calling back and was told now there were two callers ahead of me. I am really frustrated because if they aren't going to answer their phone calls then make a way through the app to contact them. Oh....and their new lunch time was an hour away from when I started this whole thing. So if they didn't answer by then I'd have to call back after their break. Obviously their time is more important than mine. I just might try CVS because this is totally unacceptable. read more

My wife and I attended a funeral in St. Louis. Unfortunately, I came down with a gout attack (probably too many hours in the car), and also she ended up getting quite ill. The pharmacist worked with our doctor back home to get us what we needed and literally got us back on our feet again. Every one from pharmacist's counter to checkout was super polite. I'm so glad we were nearby. As I mentioned in my previous review, this is our go-to spot when we need a pharmacist in South County St. Louis. read more

I am so angry! I bought a Covid at home test kit a week ago and didn't realize Medicare now pays for them. That was on me! But I decided to get another one just to have on hand and was told at the pharmacy on Tesson Ferry that I had to submit the receipt. I got home and looked on line to find out how to do it and found out that the pharmacy has to do it! So I went back and they said they couldn't reimburse me! So I have now paid close to $50 for two kits that should have been free. The first one was my fault, but the other one was Walgreen's pharmacy's fault!!! read more

Let me be frank, I hate Walgreens. But, at 1 in the morning when you need some OTC product quickly and pretty much spend your life in avoidance of Wal-MART, you do what you must, and what you must seems to be this crappy 24 hour Walgreens. Here is why I have special hatred for this particular location: TWICE now I have been purchasing something that is easily considered an embarrassing buy. Now, it's bad enough that you are letting your hair hang in front of you face and you are trying to be non-chalant about your purchase, but two separate guys working the register have made comments on my embarrassing purchases in the past 6 months. Seriously, I am already feeling crappy, I am already borderline mortified, can't you keep your snide remarks about my purchases to yourself? Also, just in general, why is Walgreen's so damn expensive? Good lord how I wish Target was open 24 hours...or on Christmas. I appreciate that they are open 24 hours and this has been good for me because you can always pick up a few things that you need here like milk, cat food, a card in a hurry. I just am not impressed with the layout, the selection, and the prices. CVS blows their prices away. Their OTC pricing seems a bit high even for their own brand. I don't remember feeling that way last year when I lived really close to a Walgreens and did quite a bit of power-shopping out of convenience. Perhaps you have to watch for the sale items or something. On a side note when I went there this morning two grown ladies were up at the checkout (only one was working the register) the other was just in the area and they proceeded to have their own conversation about the other "younger" workers there while I was paying for my stuff. They did not stop and say anything to me. This just goes against my grain. read more

Thank you Walgreens for helping me out after a hospital visit at 2 in the morning! My hubby decided that he needed to injure himself at a soccer game. He was transported to St. Anthony's ER and we were released to go get pain meds at 2 in the morning. Needless to say this Walgreens was across the street from the hospital and it saved our night (day). Despite the late hours, they were very accomodating and made sure my husband was comfortable as they filled the prescription under 5 minutes. They followed up the next day as well. I have never really had problems with the Walgreens pharmacy or take care clinic before, but tonight was a pain. My sister and I realized we should probably go to get a flu shot, but our main doctor's office was out of the vaccine. Earlier today, around 1 pm, we called Walgreens; they said they still had vaccines, so made an appointment for 7:30 to get the shots. We drove to the location in very poor driving conditions (fog and rain) only to show up and get turned away. When we walked up to check in for our appointment, they informed us that they no longer have any shots and that "the computer didn't know that". With modern technology, their computer should have known that they were out of the vaccine. We asked "couldn't you have called us?" and their response was very short and kind of backhanded "oh. well. the computer can't do that either." I think they need a serious technology update, or just more workers with common sense. That will be the last time I ever make an appointment to get a flu shot at Walgreens. read more

I drop my prescription off at midnight and said I would be there first thing in the morning around 7 AM to get my medicine. I come back at about eight and they tell me it's still not ready. Then the girl at the desk proceeds to tell me they were set to be filled tomorrow. Instead of apologizing the girl was very rude and told me that she would have them ready in 15 to 30 minutes. This Walgreens is very convenient for me. However, let me say that getting in and out of the parking lot is a joke! Terrible place to have to arrive and leave from. Also, I have had some real issues with a couple of the employees that work there. Once, a manager had to ring me out because the clerk's tape would not come out. When she asked me to re-insert my debit card, I asked if I would be charged again. She specifically told me there was no way I was being charged twice because the tape didn't come out the first time. However, I was thinking that just because the tape doesn't come out, doesn't mean the machine did not charge you. I quickly looked at my bank account on my phone, and lo and behold, I was debited twice for both transactions after she rang me up. I even showed it to her, and she said that they both would not go through. Well, make a long story short, they did both go through for $75.00 each! I was very upset because she was almost belligerent with me when I showed her the transactions on my phone. I had to go back the next day to get my refund. Another time, they used my AAA card for a discount at the pharmacy, but when I tried to use it again, they looked at me like I was crazy. They said AAA did not pay for prescriptions, I told them I know it was not like an insurance card, but you can get discounts on your prescriptions; but, the girl would not even try to run it through for the discount. I wound up calling the manager, and he said "yes" we accept the AAA card for discounts in the pharmacy! However, the next time I tried using it, they would not attempt to run it again. I am sick of that place and their idiotic employees. I have noticed that the last time I was there, they had a few new faces. Hopefully, these people are better at their jobs than the ones they had before. One more thing, this is probably ALL Walgreens, but the return policy of only 30 days is bull. I tried to return something that cost $20, and you could tell it had never even been opened, but they would not even give me a Walgreens gift card for it. I even had the receipt, but it was a firm NO! If CVS is opening up on Lemay, then that is where I will be going from then on. read more

Dropped off a prescription that was missing a piece of information from the doctor's office. Due to poor follow up on the part of Walgreens I was left without the medicine over the weekend. Not that they even cared when I called to complain. Will be taking my business to a place that knows how to read a phone number. read more
