The pharmacy at Highland and Del Rosa closed early (they are supposed to be open 24 hours) because they didn't have staff and refused to give me a prescription that I had waited over an hour for in line (they told me this at 8:39pm) - phoned in by the doctor earlier in the day. I have a kidney infection and I am on an immunosuppressant so I don't have an immune system. The pharmacist told me to go to the Walgreens pharmacy at Baseline and Boulder in Highland. The WORST! My medication was suppose to be ready two days prior to me picking them up I was told my copay for ALL the meds was around 4 something. They had the nerve to tell me it wasn't ready once I arrived and it would take 10 minutes. Then I was told my medications are over the counter I need to get them from the aisles WTF why did they tell me they were ready, they will be ready, then to finally call me up to the cashier to tell me to get them from the aisles-idiots! One time, there was a homeless man passed out on the sidewalk outside the store, and a circle of people surrounding him, holding hands and slowly swaying side to side. There was garbage and discarded possessions also tossed around him in a semi circle. I don't know if they were praying because he was dead or just passed out. On a different night, I was waiting in the drive-thru pharmacy pick-up line (average wait: 1 hr), and a young man walked up the the driver side window of my car and took his pants down and did a little hip wiggle weenie flop dance. I'm gonna start off by saying or writing this I absolutely love Walgreens personal but this particular store is a sad joke of a Walgreens. It's bAd enough to be located in San Bernardino but at least be a cut way above and represent your company with the best possible intentions to serve the consumer correctly! I should have video taped or taken photos to prove my review is very accurate. So most shelves are empty it's sad to go onto the cooler that has these computer animated images of drinks and grocery's but when you open the door it's as bare as bare can get with maybe two things in there! Stop playing with the customer and stock up your shelves correctly! And it's not like you guys don't have inventory cause we can see all the groceries in the cooler against the walls stacked up high ! We open the door to grab a 7-up and saw all the dairy and pops and juices along the wall in the cooler ! You guys really need to clean them floors and also outside the store needs to be swept and pavement pressure washed down cause all the homeless people are pissing outside the building and sleeping and perpetrating outside the building. The staff are very pleasant doing the best they can. It's always a minimum hour wait with one person moving from drive thru and between 3 registers. Insane. Waited 2 1/2 hours in drive thru with a paper prescription as well as the Dr was electronically sending it. They refused to fill it...said the Dr did not send it and the prescriptions need to be verified by the urgent care which was closed by then. So my very sick son was told to come back next day. We did. Waited an hour. Was told to come back in 2 hours so they can call the Dr. since the Dr closed in 2 hours I called them. I was told it was sent the night before and the pharmacy has not called. Called the pharmacy told them the above. All of a sudden they said it was verified even though a minute ago the Dr said different and to...come back in 2 hours. I made her tell me the name of the prescriptions and explained my concern and please commit it will be filled. It's antibiotics not opioids! Not a controlled substance! Well we shall see in an hour if it's filled and how long we wait again. I will be using another Walgreens even if we drive further. This is horrible. The store is often dirty with very little on the shelves....I never ever as a rule leave bad reviews. I do not believe in leaving bad comments and always try to understand or give grace...but this effected my sons health and it's just not once in awhile.....I am not sure how a pharmacy can be run like this...I will not let them profit from the system so they can continue to stay open providing horrible service that impacts ones health.... This place is honestly the worst store ever their customer service is the worst the wait time for not only the front counter is always ridiculous long but the pharmacy line is even worse we waited in the drive through for over an hour only to be told I had to come inside and was assured I would not have to wait any longer only for them to make me wait an additional 40 minutes!!!! Several people were also complaining waiting on medication I a don't recommend ever coming here for your meds !!!! Super unprofessional and sadly this is not the first time this has happened here on a different occasion I waited for over 20 min in the formula department so I decided to make my way to the line since no one came to help me I waited in line for another 20 min and was told I had to go back and wait for the formula !!! I went today and bought something went to the register and Lucero the cashier was first very slow at checking people out. Then it was my turn to check out and unfortunately got the wrong item then I asked her to help me find it or to get someone else to help me out. Well she never did. I waited until I asked her again if she did called someone to come help? she said yes with the worse actitud and rolled her eyes. But,30 minutes and she kept on being really slow. Horrible location to pick up medication. My toddler needed antibiotics, I visit the window a hour after the script was sent to be told they didn't receive it when they did. I was told to call back and check on when it will be available which I did and was told it'll be ready by 9:45 pm. I sat in the drive up line with 2 cars infront of me for a HOUR just to be told at 10:45 that it wasn't ready and I needed to come back. She said they are short staff but there was no customers inside being assisted. My baby is crying for her meds and the lady could have easily filled a liquid amoxicillin script. To call this place a hellhole would be an insult to Satan. The reasons why I am rating this place so low because it's beyond awful. If I could do negative stars I would since they have definitely earned them. -I have been going to CVS in general for years and when I moved to the area I kept going. My wonderful insurance company decided that the only way I could get my meds is either through Optum or Walgreens at a 90 day supply. Otherwise I would have to pay retail which would be hundreds of dollars. CVS has a great reward system with the buck coupons and for years it has worked out with how often I go. I decided since my insurance was forcing me to go to Walgreens then I should try out their rewards program. Well the programs is stingy as hell and you barely get any points. In the beginning when I first moved to the area I was buying a lot of beauty stuff and was getting some rewards but not comparable to CVS. Still I went out of convenience. -One day I had a terrible toothache and bought a product that didn't numb my tooth or my mouth at all. I trustingly threw the package away but not the receipt because I thought the product would work. Within 2 days I went back to return it and the "assistant manager" refused to refund me my money because I didn't have the package. I was beyond livid at the trash service so I threw my receipt and product in the bin. I emailed corporate and also got in touch with the GM of the store. He said he would talk to the lady who denied my refund but since I didn't have a receipt or product I didn't ask David for a refund. What I did ask is just to please improve the training with his employees. Corporate was useless too. Obviously I never bought toiletries or anything else again other than meds. Target and Walmart are better anyway. -The service in their pharmacy is atrocious. 9 out of 10 times there is always an issue with my prescription order. One time I had a 90 supply which was about $120ish and the assistant decided to only fill 30 days because somehow she thought I didn't have the money to pay for it all. Keep in mind a 30 day supply is $60. At her rate I would have paid $180. Talk about greedy and shady! The waits are ridiculous. The time you are on hold when you call is insane. They tell you to hold then the phone rings and someone picks up and then the music goes on and rinse and repeat. After 30 minutes I gave up this last time. They are also super lazy. I received my Good Rx card and was very curious to see if I would save more than what my insurance was offering. The assistant refused to do it because she would have to re-ring everything and she said the insurance was cheaper. She must have supernatural powers because how would she know any of that without checking? -There was an assistant there from my old pharmacy in Corona and she was beyond amazing and helpful at the other location. I saw her there because she had also moved and I was so happy to see a familiar face. I went back a month or so later and they said she was gone. I know it's not her work ethic or customer service skills because she took care business whenever I dealt with her. My only conclusion is that this store and pharmacy are a toxic environment for the employees and very poorly run. -I have reached my threshold of aggravation with this location 24 hours or not. The service is trash and after this last prescription order I'm going to start going to the Walgreens by my work. They have a better rating and I can always go on my lunch hour. read more

I would rate 0 but I can't. First I came to pick up medication and not all are ready so I'm told I have to come back the next day. I come back the next day and I'm told they forgot to refill one of my medications so I have to come back again the next day. I only have 3 medications and they can't get it right? Then I call the corporate office to file a complaint and a lady by the name of Connie answers the phone and the tone in her voice mixed with talking to me like i was stupid was the cherry on top. Then when I let her know that she was being rude to me she raised her voice and started arguing with me. I couldn't get in a word so I hung up. If I can give 0 stars I would. I just waited over 45 minutes to be told that they couldn't give me my medication because I have copays. The girl at the counter told me because their system was down and the pharmacist couldn't sign his initials I wouldn't be able to get it. Only people with no copays are getting their medication. Well... why not announce it or put a sign up saying this. That way we can decide on our own if we want to risk waiting a million years to be told. SMH my husband and kids waiting in the car for me. I just cried myself to the car. It's humiliating not being taken seriously as a customer. I should of left this Walgreens a long time ago because they always take over 30 mins to give or take prescriptions. This is it for me. They don't know when their system will be up and running for us non medical people with copays. Smh. thank God I am not dying and I can take icy hot and ibuprofen for tonight. Really need to do something about loiterers and beggers. I have no problem helpng people out but it seems like you cant make it in without being asked for something and then again on the way out by someone else, or even the same person. Trying to transfer a prescription to Walgreens from another pharmacy was challenging and pretty much impossible. Don't do it. Don't bother. You will not get your medication. You will be told they sent a transfer request or that the doctor has to write a new script, etc. Maybe they do send the requests, but the requests end up lost in the ether. I was told the directions were incorrect and a doctor would need a new script. Then my original pharmacy said that wasn't what the problem was. Now, I am not saying there wasn't mistakes on both sides because I am sure this was. Both pharmacies were telling me different things and it felt like I was going around in circles but an associate at my usual pharmacy decided to call another pharmacy, leave Walgreens behind, and I have my medication in my hands tonight. It is a time-sensitive medication, so it wasn't a problem for the other pharmacy, and they said the directions were just fine. I can't say anything bad about the store itself and a couple of the Walgreens associates in the Pharmacy tried to be helpful and were respectful so I will at the very least credit them for that. However, it is important for the pharmacies to be able to better communicate with each other. read more

Literally as the pharmacy clerk was taking my prescription to input on to the system, manager shows up and says close down because the pharmacist is out!, she gave me back my prescription and said sorry I can't enter it until the pharmacist comes back. i called at 10:58pm on 11/23/2022, i waited until 11:51pm, the line finally rang but then someone picked up the line and hung up, i could hear noise in the background before they hung up. i called again, after waiting for about 26 minutes, exactly the same thing happened again, unbelievable arrogance or incompetence, either way its not acceptable, it must be acceptable at walgreens but not in the real world !!!!
