Horrible experience with Walgreens Pharmacy in Windermere! To start off I went to the Walgreens after visiting an urgent care facility for a severely painful sinus infection. I was prescribed antibiotics and was eager to pick up my prescription so I could start feeling better. I went into the Walgreens and spoke to a woman at the pharmacy sometime around 3:40 PM. I said I wanted to pick up a prescription. Her English comprehension was not great IMO and I had to repeat myself several times and slow my speech down for her. She was pretty unfriendly and apathetic the entire time. Finally just showed the prescription on my After Visit Summary on my phone. At this time the woman said Walgreens never received the prescription. That was the end of the conversation because the lady insisted the prescription had not been received and that was that. I spent 12 minutes in the parking lot in the heat with an extreme headache on the phone with the urgent care facility to try to figure out what happened. The urgent care facility confirmed to me that the prescription was sent over and received by Walgreens at 3:07 PM! The urgent care facility also went the extra step of connecting me via conference call to someone at this Walgreens who told me over the phone that they had already received the prescription and it would take 30 minutes to prepare. I am so annoyed because of all of this unnecessary time I wasted due to the incompetence of the Walgreens employee, but I am in pain and just want to rest so I drive home and get in bed. My sinus and upper gums are in pain this entire time. At approximately 4:27 PM I received an automated phone call from Walgreens saying my antibiotic prescription was ready. I left to go to Walgreens to pick up the prescription and arrived at 5 PM and go through the pharmacy drive through. Just my bad luck, the same unfriendly lady who helped me earlier was at the drive through window and I had to go through the same process of identifying myself and explaining which prescription I wanted to pick up, again having to repeat myself several times. The lady, adamantly insisted that no such prescription was received. I began to try to explain that I had confirmed that it was received by Walgreens with someone at the Walgreens over the phone and subsequently received an automated call from Walgreens saying the prescription was ready. The lady cut me off and said the prescription was not received, without any sympathy or helpfulness, without offering any solution to the problem at all. I'm forced to pull over and park so I can call the urgent care facility for help because I don't deal with prescriptions often. After a 10 minute call to the urgent care facility in the parking lot with my head pounding, I learned that the prescription was in fact confirmed hours ago by Walgreens and furthermore if there were any issues THE WALGREENS PHARMACIST COULD CALL MY URGENT CARE FACILITY TO CONFIRM THE PRESCRIPTION! I was never offered this option by the lady at the Walgreens window! This infuriates me! I would expect someone who deals with customer service at Walgreen's pharmacy as their JOB to understand the options that could be offered to a customer to help them with their prescription! This lady brushed me off in a rude manner and she was totally wrong, the prescription was in the system the whole time and ready for pickup, she was just too INCOMPETENT to know It AND TOO LAZY/APATHETIC/UNHELPFUL TO GO AND ASK SOMEONE OR OFFER ME AN OPTION TO RESOLVE THE SITUATION! Did she think I was making this all up when I said I received confirmation with a live person over the phone as well as from an automated call from Walgreens? This lady could have at the VERY LEAST asked for help from a colleague OR told me that I could provide them with the phone number for the Urgent Care facility I went to so that the pharmacist could call to confirm the prescription. NONE OF THIS WAS DONE! I was nice to this lady the entire time and just got apathy, unfriendliness and unhelpfulness back! I drove back to the window and said I confirmed that the prescription was received. I was a bit upset and I think that is what finally caused her to ask someone to look at the computer screen. The other person looked at the computer screen and they talked quietly to each other and then MAGICALLY MY PRESCRIPTION WAS IN THEIR SYSTEM AND READY FOR PICKUP! This lady was so adamant that it wasn't in the system, insisted it wasn't in the system and wouldn't even hear me out when I said I received phone calls confirming it was received and ready for pickup! I was so infuriated! Please reprimand this lady, fire her, do whatever you need to do to make sure that a customer does not have to experience what I experienced ever again! What a horrible experience and a horrible reflection of Walgreens as a whole. Oh and there was no reason for the lady to be so abrupt and rush me away, nobody else was at the window when I got there! read more

I went in on Christmas Eve, along with oodles of other folks. The lines were long but the staff kept things moving and were so very patient. I needed a (sigh) covid home test, and they had a couple left, I was very grateful. read more

01/04/2021 - Walgreen Pharmacy San Ramon on Windemere Parkway. Trashiest store ever. Half the clerks wear their masks below their noses. People unmasked in and out. Yesterday I went to pick up my meds and the Pharmacy Tech was not wearing a mask. She became belligerent when I asked her to put her mask on. Claims she doesn't have to wear one because of asthma. I took her picture to send to the Health Dept. and she said it was illegal (it is not) and told me to "F_ _ _ OFF!" I will never step foot in another Walgreens...I did call the manager Jody and she didn't want to deal with me...when I told her I went to the press (I did) and the Health Department, she said she handled it and she will find another way to deal with her breathing issues. I said "It took you nine months, hospitals overflowing, a deadly unforgiving pandemic, nine months and a customer who had to deal with an unsettling altercation to realize maybe your PHARMACY employees should be wearing masks?!" I've taken this the the California Licensing Board of Pharmacy Technicians, and have filed the appropriate complaints. read more

This location is my favorite for getting my prescriptions filled quickly after going to the doctor as there is never a long line. However I do have some maintenance medications and the one is always out of stock so the prescription is always delayed which tends to get annoying. The pharmacists here are always friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have whether it is about a prescription or just over the counter medications. The one woman who is at the pharmacy to check you out is not the friendliest and is often rude. I use express checkout frequently and even though it says you can use it via drive through (it gives you a number to do so) and she gave me a huge attitude about using it. The store though is extremely clean and brightly lit. They carry a HUGE selection of all items and I have often found some amazing deals in the store including a great buy on some toys! I recommend this location of to friends. read more

Thats ridiculous when the whole retail stores are now matching their competitors price* And the price of that eye drop is 25%more than what they are selling online. And note that Amazon is selling for 70% less price I so much would have liked to make this my primary pharmacy store being at a walkable distance from me but guess I need to look for something else read more

SO CONVENIENT! Ok so the first time I came here the store was half empty cause they just opened and I thought, "wow this is useless." Then I came back when it was actually all the merchandise was moved in and it was awesome. I can get prescriptions sent here, get a quick snack or drink, or a San Ramon T-shirt/sweater (which is obviously a necessity). Real talk, I am gonna go back and buy one cause that is definitely something awesome. You can tell the store is new and super clean. It is right on Bollinger Canyon, between the High School and East Branch (So Windermere Pkwy). The staff is beyond nice and friendly. I just wanted to stay and chat with them. Overall, I use to have to drive pretty far to go places. But now, I can just walk 20 minutes and get: -Passport photos, printing, pharmaceuticals, alcohol, snacks, light drinks, etc. read more

Extremely Poor customer experience today. I use this pharmacy a lot as it is extremely close to my home and utilize their drive through most of the time. I requested through their system a refill for my asthma medicine today and I was told to pick it up after 9am. Proceeded to go after said time and I was told that they are actually out of stock. I then asked if I can pick it up at another Walgreens and I was informed I can. The gentleman who was assisting me put in the system that I can pick it up there and handed me a confirmation page. Right before I drove off he says with a very confusion look on his face that the other store should "Probably" have it but to check to make sure which kinda concerned me because he soon nded and looked so unsure. I said "Ok can you actually check for me then before I head out there amke the drive" and he replied "yes, I can but I will be put on hold so you can just call yourself when youre on the way there". I asked him again if he could do it for me and he responded with the same response. We did this one more time and Got the same response again. Bottom line, if you say you can help please do so and stop giving other excuses which makes it obvious that you dont want to help. This is not the customer experience you expect from a pharmacy especially when you need an item that can actually save your life. read more

Beware of a dishonest supervisor/manager! I shopped here yesterday, picked up four cans of Arizona iced tea because there was a sale tag on the shelf that stated "two cans for $1.00", otherwise they are $0.99 per can. When finished my shopping, I was greeted by this supervisor/manager (an Indian guy), then he started to ring up my items. The first thing he rang up were the Arizona iced tea, when I said to him that these tea are on sale, two for a dollar, and he replied that the sale was last week. I said to him that there's a sale tag on the shelf stating these tea are two for $1.00, that's why I bought four cans, otherwise I wouldn't have took them. Then he said that he will go check. I watched him first walked down the isle where the tea were stocked, and after a few minutes he came back and said that he didn't see the sale tag. He then asked me to show him where I saw the tag. On our way down the isle, he said to me that he had not looked down this isle yet. As I mentioned earlier, I saw him walked down this isle first. He was clearly lying over a $2.00 sale! He obviously torn off the sale tag and pretended that it was never there! With a dishonest person in charge of this Walgreens, I would advise everyone to follow him when he said that he is going to check on the price for you. I should have asked him to pull the surveillance video to see who's the crook that torn off the sale tag, but over $2.00? At least take a picture of the sales tags, to have it just in case when you're facing the same scenario, to prevent this dishonest person from pulling the same crap on you. At least I have learned a valuable lesson on this Walgreens' management. read more

You should go to this store if you want bad customer service and incompetent, untrained staff. It took 2 trips to retrieve a fedex package because the First Lady couldn't find it, then after confirming with fedex, I went again. The next person couldn't find it and went on to say that I was wrong and to take it up with fedex. Finally, when I made the guy listen to the voicemail left for me by fedex, the package was finally found, with no apology. I also went in to buy some otc medication with a free manufacturers coupon and it was not accepted either. All of this was done with no courtesy or attempt to truly serve the customer. read more

The young men at the counter were so helpful and courteous, and the amount was really low, so I did not bother. Their pharmacy customer service is inept. During the last week I made 3 or 4 calls to customer service and talked to several older ladies that had no technical knowledge about my online account. When they transferred me, I got disconnected. They told me to call the local pharmacy, and the local pharmacy told me to call customer service. I paid in advance twice with my credit card do I wouldn't have to hand my card back and forth. It did not work, and the text/website was down. Too many other issues to explain. Horrible experience with customer service. A man named Michael (I think Store Manager) showed so much irritation in helping me get some eye drops. No personality, and incapable of hiding his irritation. When I got up to the check out counter one of the products didn't scan and the sweet little asian lady was calling for Michael. He strolls up clearly more agitated than ever with an ugly grimace all over his face. It's great having a store in the neighborhood finally. You can pick up prescriptions, grab wine (YES!!!), or a cake mix in a pinch. They have tons of makeup, and even some premium brand haircare. The staff is pretty helpful. I had one guy walk with me down aisles until I found exactly the right bandages I was looking for! It could use a little warmth. It has a bit of a cold, "warehousey" feel, but it's all we've got in Windemere, so I'll take it! Did I mention you can buy wine....? read more

The staff at this store are some of the most professional and helpful people I have ever encountered. Starting with the manager, AK, of this store. I brought in over a hundred pictures and he walked me through the entire process. I sat there for three hours and whenever I needed additional help, he was always very attentive to my requests. I never thought I would say I look forward to shopping at Walgreens but I do. Lol. After he left, Kristine was left in charge and she too was very helpful. What a great group of people!
