I drove up to Aurora to find something here that I could not find at Fred Meyers in Lake city. I couldn't find it here either. I did pick up a few things, had to get the shampoo unlocked. The arthritis cream I bought and paid for was about twice as much as the price on Amazon. I'm trying not to support Amazon and trying hard to support local stores even if they are a chain, but the prices are just too high. Also there were Drug addicts stumbling all over inside the store and outside the store the entrance. I'm a liberal and I'm all for mental health coverage, but this guy was falling and knocking things off the shelves it was pretty bad. Couldn't stand this site over 20 years ago when they messed up a prescription. Went elsewhere despite this is closest pharmacy to my home. However, revisited this site again for my C19 2nd booster in April and my faith was temporarily restored, especially with the frazzled pharmacist that day. Had an appt for another type of shot this morning, only to find out it isn't covered. Useless website omitting this fact. And $205 out of pocket. Plus a whopping side of cold attitude. I agree that COVID has made doing business harder, but this place was pretty terrible even before COVID. The store cannot be blamed for its clientele, but beyond that Walgreens is doing a terrible job maintaining this store. Staff morale is very poor. It's a tough store and any staff working here should get hazard pay. Hours are now terrible, but it's clear they are not restocking or maintaining the store outside of business hours. Next person in line gets test or their prescription. Laying in that possibility infected drawer. Attendant hands them they order ... not washing hands ... no gloves . Not cleaning the drawer. Unbelievable!!! Their pharmacy gave me someone else's prescription!. I went home opened up my bags, and found that they gave me someone else's prescription. I returned it the very next day, and told the pharmacist "that's very dangerous to be giving people other people's prescription". The pharmacy is a complete mess and everyone there is very rude to it's customers. They are not understanding and create new requirements to pick up a prescription every time. I like this location, because it right on my way home and it's centrally located from the highway andvit makes it easier to stop in and out without a lot of traffic delay. However, I recently has an emergency and went to the store and they closed at 10:00 pm. I thought all Walgreens closes at least midnight, except Belltown on Denny way they're 24 hours. NOT COOL! Otherwise, you've been to one Walgreens, you've been to the same store. The clerk has been very pleasant every time I stop in. Valentine's Day candy display is every where. They are not answering their phones in a timely manner, online services like scheduling a Covid test is impossible to do. You schedule and they cancel and you cannot get back on for another appointment. Regular services at Walgreens are bad right now - out of stock items that are very important for their consumers. Started using this pharmacy a few years ago because Rite Aid died. So never really a fan, but it was functional. In 2022, however, they seem to have increasing difficulty staffing the pharmacy, to the point where no one answers the phone, and they unpredictably change their hours. I am thrilled to say that after months of ongoing issues with this Walgreens I have finally transferred my prescriptions to an independent pharmacy! Since my last update the service has gotten worse and worse, they are woefully understaffed (spoiler alert - it's not a labor issue, it's a bad boss and bad pay issue!) and the staff they do have are incredibly rude and unhelpful. They have no idea what they're doing and are constantly making errors with my medications, giving me incorrect information, or screwing up my insurance. It's gotten to the point where I actively dread having to go to the pharmacy (which I have to do 1-2 times a week) to wait in a very long line, and then spend forever dealing with numerous problems, surly staff, and never getting any accurate answers. I used to work here. I loved it and my coworkers were great. Then one day upper management showed up apropos of a mixed up customer and tried to convince me that I was a racist. I got so upset I walked home. Then they told me that walking off the job was a terminable offense. (They had me clock in before the conversation which was a dirty trick.) A very isolated, lonely store with rip-off prices. The only good thing about this store is that you're just on the other side of the line to avoid the stupid Seattle beverage tax, so you don't have to take out a payday loan just to get your soda. This store does not have any clearance item sales like the Walgreen's on Lake City Way does. So, for me, it's one and done with this store. They just can't compete with Fred Meyer or Safeway or Grocery Outlet. A penny a point means you have to spend $100 just to get $1 off the next shopping trip. It's a drugstore on Aurora so sometimes the patrons are a little sketchy. I'll stop in now and again for boxes of theatre candy if they're on sale. I've also stopped in here after major holidays because they are the only store that stocks the gummy candies from Brach's that are painfully good! If I don't stop inside, I utilise the drive-through for prescription drop-offs and pick-ups. The pharmacy staff is as pleasant as they can be dealing with impatient folk wanting their meds NOW! I try to be a nice as possible because I've asked them to throw in cough drops or ibuprofen so I don't have to trek inside. Nearly every single time they have done so without fuss. If you do use their window for your Rx, sign up for the speedy pay option. This will save time for you and also family members/friends who might have to pick up your items for you. Lastly, there's a good-sized parking lot with three entrances/exits. And the lines are rarely long. read more

Wow!! AMAZING customer service just now at the cosmetic counter!! Not only was I greeted and offered help, but two ladies were standing at the counter and both greeted me again with giant smiles, when I arrived, this time with my hands full. As a team, without even asking, they serviced me so fast and well, that my total was less than expected, due to one girl scanning coupons for me and the other girl was so fast at picking up the other product that I needed from across the store, that I didn't even notice it was done! We went to this particular location because we were in the area and supposedly according to their site, this location has the toys we were looking for. But we were there only to find some unstock shelves. Since we weren't able to find what we were looking for, I looked for an available employee. I somewhat found one. To be fair, all of the Walgreens locations I've visited in the Seattle area have been disappointing to various degrees, but this one stands out, especially in regards to the pharmacy. Multiple times I have had a prescription sent here by my doctor, only to have the staff tell me it wasn't received, they can't find my insurance, they can't fill it (even with hours to go before their 6:00 PM close time), etc. On one occasion I sat waiting for about an hour to have the pharmacist inform me that he was closing for the day and I'd have to come back for my prescription in the morning. Didn't bother recommending other locations or pharmacies where I could be helped. Didn't care that I and others had been waiting for an hour or more for assistance. I even spoke with the store manager and was basically given a shrug and told to go to another location up the road (where I was also turned away because it would take 20 mins to fill my prescription and they closed in 30). It is by far the worst service I've gotten at any pharmacy, and I've since transferred my prescriptions to Safeway and Amazon Pharmacy where I have had zero issues. This is a mediocre convenience store and an abysmal pharmacy. read more

I love this place! I've been going there for 8 years now. The one in Ballard was awful, but here, all of the cashiers are fantastic!! I just cannot say how many times they have helped me or gave me helpful suggestions!! Every time I walk in, I get a smile and greeting! And last night all the employees were doing were following me around making me feel stereotyped as a thief by their nuisance and lack of greetings. BEWARE OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS WALGREENS!!! I know, it's just Walgreens, who cares. But I want to warn others about calling and holding items. I called this location to ask if they could check if they had a certain item available. The girl on the phone said they had them and then hung up on me!! I literally drove straight there, which was about 10 minutes later. My item was not out on the floor so I asked a cashier if someone held them for me. She asked around and said NOBODY talked to me on the phone about said item. I'm guessing whoever talked to me on the phone was afraid because they actually didn't check! On top of that, the cashier said she would keep checking. But instead, she went straight to the register and started helping other people. IF YOU CAN'T HELP ME, JUST SAY YOU CAN'T! Don't make me wait around like an idiot. I was late to work because she had me waiting around. I literally called the Walgreens down the street and they held the item for me.
