Andrew Millette was so great he helped me find products that were within my price range and that would work with my hair texture on top of that allowed me to stay in the store and sit down until my blood high enough for me to walk all of these guys in the store need a raise. This is such a good experience - and this from a person who a) hates shopping, and b) gets intimidated at make-up counters and beauty supply places. Every time I come in I am warmly greeted, asked if I need assistance, and given great (but not pushy) advice. I never feel intimidated, never feel "less-than", never wish I had put on make up before I walked in the door (you know what I mean, right?). I pass a very well known beauty supply store to drive to Sally, and the welcoming, helpful attitude is why - not to mention the lower prices! Definitely worth the drive! My boyfriend, friend & relatives always go here for anything related to changing up the appearance & style of hair. Me, myself, I don't know too much about this kind of process. * I called the store and Jada/Molly were EXTREMELY helpful. Jada answered all the questions about the bleaching process and even walked me through step by step on how to go from bleaching/developer + hair dye. * Once I came in, the staff already knew what I needed which was the bleach, I believe ion powder bleach was the specifics of it. The kindness really resonated with me with the employees and the atmosphere was SPOTLESS, organized, altogether well put together. * I'll always go here for products as the staff were not only knowledgeable with all questions/products but very considerate and understanding. BIG SHOUT OUT TO THEM!!!! * Cheap priced, reasonable to say the least! $11 & change for the developer/bleach. * GO HERE! Saturday May 22 I purchased some pomade, after trying it I decided it was not the product for me. Unsay May 24 approximately 420pm I went to return the product. Three associates in the store one of which would try and assist me on my return. The associate asked if I was part of their club and said no, she said I must join if I wanted the return, I said due to privacy concerns I didn't want to give the info. She said it was policy. I asked where on the receipt this policy this was printed she said it's not. The other associate became loud and extremely unprofessional and said "The return ain't gonna happen with out it so you may just give it or go to another store". I ask if she want a supervisor or manager she turned her back and walked into the back room and said Absolutely not". I asked the associate for her name she shook her head and said I do not know. I thanked her for her time and went to the Lynnwood Wa store and had no issues. I will be following up with the corporate manager about this policy and extremely poor experience. read more

164th store. Tip, they do not take returns from other Sallys. Just a heads up. They say my review is too short. So I'm gonna keep writing away ;) um, didn't shop as I was trying to return something. She couldve said it in a "nicer" way, her tone sort of put me off a bit, no apology either, then stuffed my reciept into my bag, lol. She said the backroom was FULL of returns from other stores.... so fyi, NEW policy, NO returns. Ok, sigh, i understand, it was just inconvenient for me atm, was trying not to make an extra drive to the store I purchased from earlier. .... maybe it's long enough now, ramble ramble ramblin' on...... looked bigger, clean, Yadda-yadda yadda.... 3 stars bc of policy, I have no opinion on items and other staff, didn't shop. read more

Sally Beauty - Sallys 164th near walmart. - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Lynnwood, Washington

I went to this location to pick up my favorite conditioner about a week ago. I was told they hadn't unpacked their latest shipment and they would call me if my conditioner was included in the shipment. Still no phone call. I guess all of their shipment are considered "blind shipments" which seems archaic. I ended up purchasing my conditioner on Amazon and will probably receive it sooner than anyone from Sally's will get back to me. read more

Don't forget to sign up for their membership $5 a year! Great convenient place for your DIY salon or spa activities. If you know what you're doing you can buy the stuff you need and proceed with caution ;) plus you can always ask the employees for any tips and helpful information need. I had a very successful visit at this Sally's today! When I entered the store I was greeted by Emily who asked if she could help me. Then, Sean came over and heard what I was looking for and showed me some products that might like. I probably spent no more than 10 minutes in the store and I got what I needed! I went to this location for some product to lighten my hair. Sadly I got horribly bad recommendations from some girl who claimed to be a professional. I went back and another lady helped me. She was more helpful and was able to help me return one of my extra items I did not need. Then when I went to check out and the young man was awesome. He was very kind and made sure to make eye contact when asking if there was anything else I needed. He made sure to let you know that he was giving his customers his attention. He gave me some more helpful tips on certain products. Love swimming by when I need to grab something on my way home. read more

I got here a full 20 minutes before close, I was going to take maybe 5 minutes. But they had already locked the doors and closed the store? If they are going to close almost a whole half hour early they should change their store hours. They aren't making food that takes 30 minutes to make, they're selling hair product. I just love this store. I have been in a few times now and am impressed with the customer service. Twice Iwas helped by Sean and he really knows the product and hair. Most recently he assisted me with a hair color and I must say that it came out fabulous! Shopping for hair products used to be a task that I did because I had to do it. Horrible customer service. (I've been doing hair for about 10 years) Bought a product, at the time the employee (assistant manager) said that if it didn't work I could bring it back. I spent an hour with this hi lift product in my hair (for balyage) It did NOTHING my hair is the exact same color. I brought the receipt the box and the developer back. The employees were shocked but said they can do nothing because I don't have the tube that it came in... What are they going to Do? Re sell it? So unhappy. I will spend the extra 20 minutes to drive to the Sallys on Everett mall way. Never again. If I could do no stars I would read more

If it wasn't for the products then I'm sure no one would go here. There were two girls working and 1 was on the phone the whole time. Then idk what happened with another customer but one of the girls working yelled at a customer to "go somewhere else then and then" made a scene after they left. Tried to come in at 8:00 on a Friday, website and door say they close at 9:00. However, the doors were already locked and no one was inside.

Staff is helpful and there is a large variety of products to choose from. However, I called them at 4:50 to ask when they close and the girl said 9. I drove up at 8:45 and the doors were locked with no one inside. read more

I'm always hesitant to go to a new Sally's but was extremely happy with this one. Typically i find other locations lack customer service, are too pushy with particular products, or don't know what they're talking about. I was greeted right away and offered help. The girl that did help me was very professional and answered all my questions. Very clean location, not the most convenient to get to though. read more

I suggest you check the Sally website for prices on a product before going into the store. The haircolor does not have prices listed, except maybe one at the top of each row of brands. The box I bought rang up almost a dollar higher at the register, but because there was no Price signage I didn't contest it right away. I got into my car and re-pulled up the item on my phone and I was correct, so I went back in to have the price adjusted. Due to Covid, you can now purchase online and do a free pick up at the store, so even after showing them that I could just step out the door and purchase the item and have them walk it to my car for almost a dollar less and verifying The address of the store I was standing in, I was offered a refund difference of $.40. I did not feel like teaching a math lesson on subtraction, but I was bothered by the bait and switch factor of a price ringing up higher and then not even getting the correct adjusted amount. I called customer service to vent my frustration because in the past, I have never had issues with something ringing up higher and items not being marked with prices in this store. read more

I love going to Sallys but today not so much. I went to the 164th one in Lynnwood to get hair color. I walked in and the gal working there was helping another customer with hair color. I was right next to the gal that was helping the customer. What's sad is my presence as a customer was never acknowledged and I was standing right next to both of them. I continued to look around but continued to be ignored. I finally went up to the register still being ignored and waited for a bit. Finally the gal that works there and the customer she had been helping the entire time I was in there walked right by me saying nothing and started ringing up the customers items. I was finished being treated like I didn't exist. I put my items back and walked out. Why do people workin the customer service industry that do not know anything about customer service. I WISH I could remember the name of the girl who helped me, but I've been dying my own hair for years. It's naturally almost black. I wanted a blue ombré. All I needed was a nice bleach recommendation. This girl was so uneducated. First she handed me 20 vol developer and I was like excuse me why would I buy this my hair is black? And she goes oh gosh oops and hands me 30 vol and then asks her coworker if that's correct and this coworker goes "I wouldn't reccomend 40 vol to ANYONE" and I was like well my hair is black. And the powder they gave me was awful. I left the bleach on for 45 minutes. That is the maximum. I have olaplex so I wasn't as worried but my hair barely lifted at all. It was light brown/ orange and when I put the blue/ violet pravana mix on like I've done multiple times my hair came out practically black again. I'm so upset. Now I will have to do this again and probably cut off a good amount of damage. I will change my review if the manager can correct this when I return this evening. But as of now this is the worst store I've ever been to. read more
