This pharmacy has never had the most stellar customer service, but recently my experience has taken a deeply troubling turn. I have stage 4 cancer and experience severe, chronic joint pain. Despite having legitimate prescriptions from my oncologist, I've had to fight tooth and nail just to get my pain medication filled. The process has been humiliating and exhausting. I've been made to feel like a criminal or drug seeker, rather than a patient in desperate need of relief. No one should have to advocate this hard for basic, compassionate care--especially while battling a terminal illness. I sincerely hope Walgreens reviews its training and policies around pain management and patient dignity. People with serious illnesses deserve better. read more

Once again I went to the Walgreens Pharmacy on Pontiac trail, and AGAIN they screwed up a prescription. These pharmacy techs are the worst crew I've ever seen; I have been there dozens of times and they manage to make it an awful experience EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. And it isn't just physically going there, No way. Try calling and you'll be on hold long enough have a birthday, you'll get cut off, you'll re-dial and it will ring and ring and ring and ring and nobody will pick up the phone. read more

Every time I do a pick up order, they mess it up. Last time the substituted printer ink, which i specifically checkmarked the box online to not allow for substitutions. You can't substitute printer ink it is specific to the printer. Guess what, they substitute it for a different kind. I have a toddler and a baby that I have to haul around with me so I did order pick up to make it convenient. It's not convenient when I have to drive all the way back to the store and bring them back inside with me. I didn't receive a single apology either. Today I did a photo order pick up. Guess what... they put someone else's photos inside my envelope. Should I have check the photos before I left? Yes. But I had my two kids with me, my baby in my arms. Did not see until I got all the way back home and opened them up . I called Walgreens and actually spoke to the woman who gave me my photos and told her what they did. She did not apologize. This place needs to get it together. And it wouldn't kill you to admit when you messed up and apologize for inconveniencing someone else with your mistake. read more

Fire this entire staff, horrible! They are Out of Prescriptions, always. A $Billion Dollar$ company who made their money selling drugs is out of prescriptions. Plus, a $Billion Dollar$ company who made their money selling drugs can't be bothered to hire anyone to answer their phones. I've tried for a WEEK to get a necessary monthly script from these fools. After 4 days I used their Online Chat, just as useless and immoral as the South Lyon employees. They stated Fri. it would be back in stock on "the next business day." I asked Monday? Yes, Monday. And it's Monday. Guess what, not in stock! I tried to call this South Lyon location, I sat on hold for 20 minutes, no one answered. I did the Live Chat again, they asked ME why the pharmacy hadn't contacted other Walgreens to see if it was in stock. Do I work for Walgreens? That's YOUR job. The Live Chat lady said she was doing that, then ran into some "system error," transferred me to someone else, now the 3rd person, who couldn't be bothered to read the transcripts of the last half an hour. She told me simply to "call the store." Unbelievable. They also lied and stated that they receive in their meds on order every 24 hours, and they couldn't see any info. about my Refill. What, do you mean the fact that I ordered the Refill, is that what you can't see? I called the South Lyon jerks again. First call, after 10 minutes, someone picked up the phone, hung it up on me. The next call, after 25 minutes of their headache-inducing message that there was 1 person in line in front of me, I finally hung up. And this was after a year and a half of their screw-ups at this location. I agree with the other Reviewer, fire these idiots, hire new people. The last time I used their drive-thru, I could see 7 different people in the pharmacy area, so not sure why they're not answering their phones or why they're Kmart-level picking up the phone and hanging up. Why don't they have prescriptions in? One that I buy every 30 days? Last month, and it's the SAME every month, my doctor's office called these jerks. 3 times. To see WHERE my prescription was and WHY it wasn't being filled. Walgreens told them, "Oh it will be in tomorrow, then tomorrow, then tomorrow." After a week of that, I called. They Had My Medication In Stock, They Never Bothered to Tell Me, They Had No Notes I Was Waiting for This Prescription. What? It was simply sitting on the shelf. No one contacted me. A year and a half ago, I mistakenly transferred all of my prescriptions via their website from Rite-Aid to Walgreens since I moved from another area. This was all thru their computer system. I go to check, first they were in limbo. Next, they deleted FIVE of my prescriptions, no lie, they were gone. Finally they could see them, after much going back and forth, getting corporate involved. How does the computer loose your transfers? Walgreens answer to all this? Well just make a dr. appointment and get new copies of your prescriptions, then bring them in to Walgreens. They also told me that they had called my doctor's office and that they said they had, "never heard of me," and that I was "not a patient there." At a doctor's office I'd been going to for 7 years? I don't think so. Turned out, they were contacting the WRONG PROVIDER! Wrong company name, wrong doctor name, wrong phone #, wrong fax #, wrong address, which was all correctly supplied to Walgreens. Gee, no wonder they'd never heard of me. You can't get any dumber than these people. You really can't. A $billion dollar$ company who doesn't care about their customers, making sure you're safe, have the meds you need, they just don't care. And sadly, they were allowed to also buy-up half the Rite-Aid's too, so now it's double incompetence. I am going to look to the grocery stores or a pro home delivery, Walgreens is garbage, South Lyon Walgreens is absolutely unprofessional trash. read more

Very mismanaged store with a rude staff. Nobody knows what's going on in the pharmacy. Just shut it down! It's useless.

Created my appointment online for my booster. Filled out the paperwork online. Get to the pharmacy and they can't find the paperwork, so I have to fill out the paperwork all over again. Then, they tell me it will be an additional 15minute wait (it's already past my appointment time), because they just took the vaccine out of refrigeration and it needs time to come to room temp. Why they didn't take it out when I began check-in and made me wait an additional 15minutes is absolutely ridiculous. They have no business booking appointments 15minutes apart when they are this inefficient. read more

This is the most unprofessional pharmacy. My Dentist sent a prescription around 9:15am , I patiently was waiting while in pain. 2:00 PM I called to ask when it would be ready. They tried to tell me they never received it. I called my dentist again to make sure they sent it. They did, they even called the pharmacy to confirm it. They just never got my prescription off of the machine. Unbelievable! After speaking to the dentist office again, they confirmed they did receive it. They just never filled my prescription. I called Walgreens they told me I had to wait 15-20 more minutes. Okay. I get there 20 minutes later the lady to the pharmacy counter tells me I have to wait another 15 or 20 minutes unbelievable!! They didn't even have to put the medicine in a jar. It was already prepackaged. They just had to put a label on it. It took them over 6 hours to do this. It's totally unacceptable! This is not the first or second time either that I've had horrible experiences with this pharmacy. Im just getting tired of this. They are very unprofessional at this pharmacy and I'm calling corporate next. They need a whole new staff/ new training, in the Pharmacy area. read more

this is the worst pharmacy I've been to in 68 years! They are rude, inefficient, unprofessional and should be closed down. They tell me i have not refills and I do, they tell me my script has expired and it hasn't, they tell me they don't have a call from doctor for my scripts and I the call was made. I've been told to go somewhere else if I don't like it by the head pharmacist, had the store manager close the gate in my face and the district manager not return all of my 5 phone calls. The Pharmacy Department for this store needs to be shut down until it is restaffed or the staff retrained. They screwed up another medication of mine my storing it in the refrigerator when it should not have been. I am out of an important medication due to their ineptness. Will it take for them to screw up someone's medication causing injury or death for them to wise up and replace the staff. I hope not. read more

Waited on hold for 30 minutes yesterday and no one ever answered, so I hung up. Called again today and was on hold for 15 minutes and spoke to a gentleman finally. After telling me they don't have my medication and he should be able to get it order so I can have it tomorrow, he hung up without confirming anything with me. Disappointed that when I called back I had to wait on hold again, which I'm unwilling to do after wasting so much time already. Lower your expectations when dealing with this pharmacy. read more

Wow, that's the friendliest service I've received at a pharmacy. Usually, it seems like pharmacists are some of the most depressed people I've come across. They rarely smile, they're pretty quiet, and they make it seem like your business is the bane of their existence. But when I came to this one, they opened a second register for me so I didn't have to wait AND the pharmacist had a lovely smile and disposition (instead of the I'm-too-busy-for-this look). I think her name was Janki (easy to remember since it was so unique). She told me how long it would take (20 min), so I chose to come back. But Walgreens now texts you when you're prescription is ready (if you are willing to give them permission). read more

Very thankful for the two friendly Walgreens employees who went above and beyond to help me with my photos that I needed printed before they closed! I placed an order for 120 photos online less than an hour before they closed and called them to see if it was possible to have my order done tonight being that the website told me it would be ready for pick up at 9:25 the next morning. The man who answered was very happy to help from the second he answered the phone until the second I was handed my photos at 9:59 as they were literally closing. It's the little things like nice customer service that make everyone's day that much better. read more

I HATE this pharmacy, every time I go in I vow never to go back, but we are registered here so when you are ill you don't feel like going and registering somewhere else. They always have lines, they always take AGES to do prescriptions and are always miserable. read more

He was happy to go check for an item that I was looking to Purchase and was kind enough to go out of his way to gather 10 boxes of the item and put it up front at the Register so my husband could pick it up for me!!
