Not impressed. And I'm not picky. Every nail was lopsided. I got home and filed my nails with dip on them to make them look even. I asked for mainicure and dip. She literally ignored the manicure and went straight into the dip. Very thick and lumpy. When she was done she just got up and said "wash your hands, you're done". Not worth $45 whatsoever. Went here for a walk in and was severely disappointed. I showed the woman doing my nails pictures of what I wanted and how long I wanted them, and even throughout the manicure I would ask "can you please make them shorter?" And she would nod but not do anything. When she was using her dremel to file down my nails she dug in my skin multiple times and made me bleed. Several of the acrylic nails are crooked, lumpy and uneven. When I got home I had to file my nails down shorter myself. It's shameful they charged me $45+tip for such an awful experience. While this place is very inexpensive (I was charged thirty dollars for a full set), the quality is poor. In the picture inserted below, you can see the crookedness of the shape, especially in my index finger, and my sisters experienced similar problems with the quality of the shape. Additionally, the nail polish chipped very easily and had poor quality as well. I understand this isn't really the salons fault, but it contributes to my two stars. However, I was a walk in and they took care of me pretty quickly, and again, their prices are relatively cheap. I wouldn't recommend this place for someone who values good quality, but if you care more about prices, this may be the salon for you. read more

I went to Jasmine Nails in South Lyon right before the Covid-19 became critical. My 3-week nail fill appointment was scheduled for March 27th but because of the shutdown I am now on week 6 and my nails are not popping off, with just a little bit of care, they are still looking fine enough that I don't have to struggle to pop them off or worry about them. I give this salon a 4/5 because a shellac manicure and regular pedicure is overpriced. However, you do get what you pay for in this case and it was honestly the best mani/pedi I've ever had. The equipment they have for pedi's is ok and I've definitely sat in more comfortable chairs. But they are clean (wear gloves), the equipment is clean and they are very precise about being sure your nails look perfect. I highly recommend! read more

I went here for the first time 6 weeks ago based on the other great reviews. I will not be returning. I got a pedicure and acrylic nails. The woman that did my pedicure was awesome. No complaints. However, an older gentleman did my nails, and he is my main detractor. He cut the skin around my thumb with a buffer repeatedly in the same spot, even after my protests that he avoid that area because he had nicked it. I had an oozy painful wound that took weeks to heal. He also ground down a few of my natural nails too thin, the liquid he put on after burned my nail bed soo bad. As if all of that wasn't enough, he rang me up for a total of $60, and I left a $10 tip, mostly for the girl that did my pedicure. When the charge cleared my account, he rang it for $80! Even though I only signed for $60 plus $10 (I have the receipt to prove this). $60 was a decent price for services, but if it should have been $80 they're way overpriced for South Lyon area. I also see I'm not the only one to mention him. Avoid at all costs. read more

I could never say no to a free birthday pedicure! The space was bright, cool and clean. Feet were dunked into a jet pool of hot water and (lucky for me) the Travel Channel was on the telly. The staff were professional and courteous. Everything was clean. I never had a man do my feet before but I didn't care--he was strong and able to swiftly smooth out all of my rough spots with a surprisingly light touch. The full pedi package (soak, smooth, cuticle, nail trim, moisturize, polish, dry) is only $31. Pretty darned reasonable. My feet definitely felt much happier upon leaving than they did upon entering. I went a got my nails done there a few days ago. I got acrylic nails with gel nail polish. The person who did it did an okay job but they were all uneven and weirdly shaped. I had to reshape them when I got home. Today when I woke up I had a couple fingers that were all red and swollen, there was also puss coming out from one of them. I went in to have them take off the acrylic nails, as well as get my money back. The owner, Andy helped me. Who was very rude, told me he would fix them and give me my money back but I told me I was not allowed to come back to his salon. Frankly... I don't want to go back since I had an infection! I would say only so so. I got a shellac manicure and although they did a nice job trimming around my nails and shaping them nicely, they did not put enough coats of polish on. Granted the color I chose was a baby blue color, but at the end of the session you could still see steaks through the color. The technician also got shellac on my fingertips that they had to file off, but I had to ask them to remove it or I would have left with it like that. Overall this would not be my first choice to go to but it was convenient at the time. Still a decent place, but not spectacular. read more

She said that they were far too busy for me but there was only one customer who was already being taken care of... My wife wanted me to get gift certificates for her birthday. I no longer come here she's unhappy with some of the attitudes of the people who owned the place they can be very rude and some of the other reviews she has read and from other people sometimes they'll deliberately keep drilling your nail to the point where it does hurt she no longer goes here. One of her nails was put on crooked. In her opinion she feels it was done deliberately because there's no way you can miss a crooked nail. Thank you. read more

Andy was so nice! I've never been to Jasmine before today, but he did an amazing job on my nails, and he was really funny and kind. He's crazy funny, and I was laughing the whole time, but even better, he really does a great job of doing nails and gave me Solar powder nails, something that most salons don't offer. He cares about how your nails look, and the health of your nails. And, he finished in time so that I could get to work on time. Four stars though, because it could've been a little bit cleaner on the inside, but that definitely doesn't change how amazing the service was. I'm for sure going to be a regular. read more

I've lived in the area for 13 years went to this place a couple times and was always 50-50 with my nails came back just the other day and the guy who did my nails was so rough on them they have been hurting all week. He used the file so fast and hard, pulling and pushing my nails any which way.. he dropped the nail file a couple times. he also never compared hands to make sure nails were even on both hands. The staff at this place was pleasant enough, which is great, but I'm not one of those people who really wants to make a lot of conversation while I'm getting a pedicure. However, the services I received on the two occasions I've gone in for a pedicure were mediocre at best. I take really good care of my feet, so it's pretty easy to give me an excellent pedicure. There was very little buffing with a pumice, and what I did receive is pretty haphazard and spotty. The cuticle trimming is so conservative that it still leaves dead skin around the edge of the nails when they're finished. However, even though the salon is clean, it reeks of cigarette smoke because it seems like everyone who works there smokes. I'm assuming they stand at the open back door and smoke, which lets a lot of the odor into the salon itself. I won't be back. read more

I've been to this salon a few times. Two times ago the water for pedicures was extremely hot, almost burning my feet. Had an older gentleman do my feet. It was ok, a little rough but ok. Last week, I had the same gentleman do my feet, while trimming my nails, he cut one of my toes, and as before the rest of the pedicure was just overall rough in nature. I also had a shellac manicure this time around. This was completed by a younger male. The manicure was also a little rough, when buffing my nails he buffed my nail beds as well, on two of my fingers I have small scabs because it was a little rough. The shellac nail polish and toe polish both look great, and last a while. Environment is clean, and staff is friendly. Slightly over priced. If I go back, I'll be sure to ask a female to complete my services. read more

Another great experience today! I've been seeing Andy for at least a year now - he's the only one in our area who knows how to do true gel nails - liquid gel is different than the stuff they mix with powder! My nails were very sensitive from people who didn't know what they were doing - when I first started seeing Andy - now they're so much improved I can't believe it! Andy knows what he's doing and has my nails improved tremendously!! Today I decided that I try their pedicures - viola! Wonderful! My feet are so smooth, nails are nicely shaped! The last pedicure was two weeks ago at another salon and they left my feet feeling as rough afterwards as before (M-Nails in Brighton). I've given them several chances to get it right - they just don't know how to give a good pedi anymore - they use to...but staff changed and they just don't seem to care. Andy has a better price and does better work overall. I'm a big fan and will stick with Jasmine Nails in South Lyon from now on! read more

Wish I could do 2 1/2 stars. Nice, clean salon. As far as fills go, Andy is the only competent person there. A few weeks ago, I saw another tech who did not use enough gel powder resulting in my nails cracking several days later. Andy got me in right away to fix them at no charge. Just today went for a fill. Andy was busy so I saw Nikki. She is friendly enough but, again, not enough powder. I can almost guarantee I'll be back in a few days for a repair. One of very few nail/full service salons in South Lyon. Have heard stories of infections from improperly sanitized tools from others, but have never had a personal bad experience. Walk-ins welcome and longest I've ever waited on a Saturday around lunch was 15-minutes. Facilities are nicer than I've seen (open, bright, large). Communication is a problem since everyone speaks Vietnamese and very little English, so you just sit; no chit-chat. One girl works there speaks decent English, but she is very highly sought by the clients for pedicures, so it's rare you get her for nail service. Offers waxing, too (never used). I've had my acrylics and manicures done a few times there when I'm too lazy to DIY. Prices are reasonable/competitive. They are open late selective weeknights, which is nice to be able to run there after work. read more

Staff could be ALOT friendlier. Everytime I walk in there for a minor treatment of some sort (I rarely get the works because they rush me), I am always told 'its going to be long wait' EVERY time. Even though I may not have an appt, they could tell me in a nicer way that it could be a wait, would I like to come back, etc? But this approach has been used on me everytime I walk in there. I'm starting to take it personal although I know its not. I now drive to another town to get 'the works' because they treat me like a valued customer. I have been getting my fingers and toes done here for several years now, and I feel that they do a very good job for a very reasonable price! I stopped in tonight on my way home from work (after 6pm, and they close at 7pm - I was there until about 7:15) and got a fabulous manicure/pedicure for only $43. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I will definitely be stopping by there again soon!! read more

From 3 visits: The middle aged woman does a good job on eyebrows. One of the younger men did a good job with polish, but tore up my cuticles. The man in his 30's watched tv while filing my nails, and the woman in her 20-30's was on the phone while doing my eyebrows. The wax has burned by skin. read more

WOW! I wish i had my pictures of my nails that Andy has done the last three months. I was using a highly recommended place in Novi and they kept turning out terrible to the point where my acrylics and then my pink and whites were literally peeling off!! So living in South Lyon, i walked into Jasmine nail one day upset at how bad my nails looked and were coming off after only 2 weeks. He sat me right down, took care of me, gave me a discount, his salon is always immaculate and super clean and neat, the staff are amazing! They make sure you are absolutely satisfied when you leave, and because of that, he has gained my business for the last 6 months and will never go anywhere else as long as he is there! I was hesitant to let him try new things on my nails, I was always a classic french manicure type, now I just sit down and say do whatever you think will look great, and he has gotten me open to experimenting with new colors and styles and I love it and so does my husband and I get SO many compliments! These manicurists are absolutely wonderful! Remember to always tip them very well too! They take so much time and put so much detail into making each one of your nails absolutely PERFECT!
