This walgreens is even better than the one on Blind Pass! On the hunt for some different colors in our sizes for some more St. Pete Beach gear goodies! haha. I went to some of the other Touristy beach stores & none of them had any of the cute beachy St Pete stuff that Wallgreens has. This location also has fabulous Wallgreens vintage photos & the staff was super fun! The one lady even offered to french braid my hair while I was there lol. Kudos to the pharmacy here, for which this review is for. They were very helpful to get our misdirected prescription transferred from CVS to here. It was completed within the hour, and we were able to pick it up before they closed. We were very grateful. Oh, had to transfer because CVS is not in network with our health insurance provider, but Walgreens is. Bottom line: grateful and thankful.! read more

I am so pleased with this Walgreens and their staff or at least one employee in particular...I think his name is Joseph Eedes.(forgive my spelling ,im from Lithuania) It was my first time visiting this Walgreens on the Beach and as Lithuanias first female fried pickle eating Champion 1984 ,I was blown away by the attention that Joe gave me ,I lost my right hand in a pickle dicing competion in 87 and I haven't been the same since. (It was a big dill back then) I asked Josepf what the best protective suntan lotion would be to protect my pale skin from The Florida Sun and he advised me that Using Johnson and Johnson Baby oil is the best and since im missing a hand he was able to gently rest his gut on the front register and ever so slightly lean over and apply a think coat to my shoulders...What an absolute gentleman he was and after all that he even signed me up for one of your 38% interest rate credit cards.Wow Wow Wow.how on earth has he not been promoted after all these years.Thank u to the Man that hired him and taught him about attention to details,customer service and sharing spaghetti out of a crokpot that he wasn't supposed to. read more

I am a local, stopped in to try to "quickly" grab one little female toiletry item, One cashier working who seemed like her life goal was to see if she could move in slow motion slower than any motion picture slow motion scene ever! There were eight people in line in front of me... I waited for about 10 minutes, and she did not even get one person through with three items. Not sure what the heck was the problem. But I put my items back on the shelf, and walked out! I saw other customers sighing and talking to each other about how ridiculous this was. It was like the one lady working in the store at checkout on a Friday night was so disgruntled, it was her life goal to make everyone else miserable and take as much time of theirs as she could. What is the point of posting that masks are required to enter your store (per Pinellas Commission) if you don't allow your employees to enforce it? 5 people in the store and only 1 with a mask. This is a tourist area and they think they can do whatever they want which was made very evident when a tourist shopping in YOUR store told me that he didn't vote in Pinellas so the rules don't apply to him. The people that work here are nice enough but the Walgreens corporation itself is incredibly dirty. They refuse to end the "balance rewards" unrewarding 'discount' customer tracking program during the corona pandemic. Why stand 6 feet apart when they then pressure people to "enter a rewards number" on that filthy keypad with their face touching index fingers ? Walgreens corporate does not care about the health in our community. I called and complained about this public health risk a few times and they just put my complaint in the trash I guess. Both CVS and Seven Eleven both shut down that business of pressuring people to enter a phone number and be exposed to a high touch high risk surface but not the Greedy Walgreens corporation. Nothing "rewarding" at all about entering a phone number on that nasty keypad risking Corona for their dumb customer tracking system posing as a discount program. I watched the people on line half of them face touching then bare hands on the keypad then some of them face touched on the way out right after using the keypad !! Get it together like Seven Eleven and CVS did reckless Walgreens. At CVS with a credit card it no touch at all. Just says approved and you pull it out. No pressing enter or anything. This place is horrible! We are from out of town went to fill a prescription. The pharmacist was NASTY! Unknown to us, when we went in to pick up his script, she had called the physician (who my husband sees frequently}and argued with them about a medication my husband has been on for over 5 years. When we went in to pick it and another one up, she argued with us and then threatened NOT TO GIVE HIM THE OTHER MEDICATION. Who does that? She made zero attempt to try and resolve whatever stick was up her @&$ with the doctor and REFUSED the medication. The entire time she is yelling rude comments. There is a reason when we got directions Siri told us this store was rated 2.5 stars. The pharmacy manager thinks she is GOD and is a horrible person. DONT GO IN HERE! The best part was I had a cart full of items I would have purchased but I spent my $170 elsewhere. And guess what..the doctor put the script at another pharmacy and we picked it up without ANY ISSUES! I urge people to call Walgreens corporate over this place . If you have a prescription and have issues also file a complaint with the Florida Board of Pharmacy. this lady is horrible! read more

Over priced. Slow and who ID A 53 year old for anything. Bad policy and moving my meds to somewhere else because of it.

It's a Walgreens, it's on the beach, it's convenient. Not sure why it has the two one-star ratings; I've never experienced slowness here. I do think the prices are a bit higher on touristy things like water, sun screen, etc. so I go further inland when I need that type of stuff, but it's great to have this option on the beach for urgent needs. read more

When I walked into the store, I was in search of getting cash back and so when I reached the ATM I noticed that the fee was $5.00, so I went ahead and thought why not try and just buy a few $0.65 lollipops and then I could request cash back as I needed $65.00 in total, so I had to make 5 purchases in order to get $20.00 back 3 times and then $5.00 on the last transaction, and during this process I messed up on the last transaction and tried for $20 when I only had $7.00 and needed $5.00... this was a very frustrating process as there was a long line behind me and so with that being said she was super patient and even went out of her way to get more change in her drawer since she didn't have enough. She was entirely pleasant the entire time, and for that I am uber impressed by the customer service. This was not the first time seeing Carol, she was pleasant before and this time was even more of a reason to come back to the store if I need even a soda. Thanks for everything, be well! read more

I travel regularly and often have to pickup prescriptions on the road. I have NEVER EVER experienced such a slow, uncoordinated pharmacy experience. What a disaster! Walgreens had so many technical issues and tried to make it the problem of Humana and us. Humana called the pharmacy no less than 5 times. I have never seen anything so absurd!!!! read more

Slowest Walgreens ever. I live nearby and constantly forget how bad it is to stop here. Anytime I do stop I am quickly reminded. If you say want to run in to buy a cold drink you will wait 15 mins even with only 2 people in front of you I'm not talking about the pharmacy just the register. Someone will come open another register and pull from the back if the line not take whose next. Drive the extra 2 blocks to Dolphin village there is a Publux and cvs that are cheaper and way way faster. I confronted the manager who opened a line and took other people even though several of us had been waiting 15 minutes today. I said "you couldn't ask for the next person in line you simply take people who haven't had to wait at all". His answer: "I could have, I decided to provide service to these people!" I've had this problem before but never have I been treated so poorly when pointing it out. read more

This Walgreens location must be under new management since previous reviews because I had a fantastic experience there. They have great prices on souvenirs, hats...even beach umbrellas and towels. I'm thrilled this store is walking distance from where my family and I are staying. read more

Similar to all other Walgreens I've been to, has just about everything you need, including the pharmacy. Definitely catering to the beach crowd with all the suntan lotion, tank tops, beach towels, beach toys, and bathing suits. Perfect for a convenient stop on the way to the beach. read more

If I could give zero stars for the pharmacy department, I would. Grey-haired woman with glasses is incredibly rude and unhelpful. Was determined NOT to honor a Bausch and Lomb program savings card that was issued by my ophthalmologist. First she sent me on a wild goose chase, insisting I needed my primary prescription card in order to use the B&L program card (even though when I talked to the B&L people later, they said I didn't need it). THEN - after I activated the card, grey-glasses wench tells me I didn't and she sent me on my way. In the parking lot, I called the B&L number written on the card and they said I was "All set and that the card had indeed been activated". Will NEVER go there again. Worst customer service known to man. I live here on the beach within walking distance to that Walgreens. I'll bad-mouth them to everyone I know because of the pharmacy. read more

If i could give this place a zero i would. Needed medication for honeymoon. Was having prescriptions transferred from a different pharmacy. I was told the prescription would be ready as i gave them 2 days notice. When i had not received a call from them I reached out only to be told that, "we called your pharmacy and they said you didnt have any prescriptions". They also said that they called me as well but there was no call and no message. Bullshit lie. I ensured them i did have a prescription that was available with refills. The wallgreens rep told me that they would call my old pharmacy again but would not have the important medication ready for me in time for my trip. Every other pharmacy would have bumped it up and taken care of it under the circumstances that they screwed up and it was a pretty important event. They simply do not care about customer service. I will be moving my prescriptions back to CVS. Waste of time. read more

This place drives me crazy. I go here every couple of days to pick up prescriptions. The cashier says "Welcome to Walgreen's" as soon as you walk in and then every other employee you pass on the way to the back asks if you need help, even if you're clearly just walking by and not looking for anything. It's just this Walgreen's, so management must think this is a good thing. It's really annoying to keep telling these people that you don't need any help, or you might just want to look for a few minutes. Also, the phone messages are really annoying. You have to hear whatever long pitch they're making (for flu shots, etc.) before getting to the recording for prescription refills. The CVS in Dolphin Village is better; it's friendly in a more sincere, less aggressive way. read more
