After we had already been waiting 15 minutes beyond our appointment time, the receptionist told us she would be seen shortly. That turned into an additional 30 minute wait, and we were moments away from leaving when my daughter was finally called back. While waiting, the receptionist was laughing and giggling with another employee, showing no apparent concern that a patient had been sitting in the lobby for nearly an hour past their scheduled time. If the office was running that far behind, we should have been informed upon arrival and given the option to reschedule. I took my child out of school and shortened my workday by three hours to accommodate this appointment. That time was not respected. After finally being taken back, my daughter then waited another 30 minutes before actually being seen. After her appointment concluded, my daughter said that there were three additional patients being seen simultaneously. I understand a practice wanting to maximize the opportunity to generate revenue, but when that comes at the expense of making a child wait over an hour and fifteen minutes, especially when that child should be in school, it reflects a serious scheduling and management problem. Unfortunately, this experience has made it clear that this practice does not value patients time, and this will be our last visit.
