0 Stars. the pharmacy is absolutely ridiculous. Been sending prescriptions here for 10 years and the past year my medications are never ready on time. Which means I have to call, wait on hold for 20 mins, and tell them I need my prescription. Once I do this, my prescription is magically ready later that day! The pharmacist couldn't care less as when I've expressed this frustration they literally ignore everything i say and tell me my prescription will be ready. I've literally watched with my own eyes a pharmacy tech pick up the phone, put it on hold, and then just wander around the pharmacy for 10 minutes and never answer the phone, just chatting with other techs- literally laughing with them. I just sat on hold for 10 mins and when someone answered the phone I tried telling them this is ridiculous and the tech who answered, Karen, wouldn't even let me speak. "i'm not sure what we can do about that". All in all they told me that 40% of their prescriptions are being send to a robotic fulfillment center so they will be about 2 days late... If this is the case why would they not inform customers that this would affect?? DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU NEED PRESCRIPTIONS ON TIME. read more

Walgreens needs to hire more people. The poor girl at the pharmacy window is taking care of both the drive thru and the store. One pharmacist. Come on Walgreens you can do better! Waited 45 minutes standing in line. The folks in line were courteous and friendly and we all felt bad for the pharmacy tech. In the 9 months I have been using this Walgreens to fill my perscriptions I have yet to have one month where it hasn't been eventful. Right now I've been waiting 30 minutes and counting after the pharmacy tech told me that my perscription (marked ready for pickup this morning) "accidentally got pulled" so they didn't actually have it ready. This is not the first time this has happened. The pharmacist is currently "looking for my perscription". What makes it more concerning is that this is a highly controlled, schedule 2 drug, for ADHD. Incredibly irresponsible for a pharmacy to repeatedly lose ADHD medication/perscriptions. read more

Worst Walgreens ever. I always wait at least 10-20 minutes in line just to pick up a prescription. When I finally get my turn I am met with nothing but attitude and incompetence. They've even give me someone else's prescriptions before AFTER "verifying" my address. How does that even happen? The pharmacy techs have no clue what they are doing and they are rude and unhelpful at best. Do yourself a favor and use the Walgreens pharmacy on 171st & 84th ave in Tinley where they are actually helpful and prompt because this location is a joke. read more

On multiple occassions I have waited over a half hour for my prescription once I get to the store AFTER I received the text that it was filled. With all the reviews I read , I dreaded going to have my prescription filled. This was my new provider and I didn't have a choice. I don't know if I just got lucky but I got waited on very shortly after I arrived and they had all my information and my prescription ready. The snafu I ran into was their system for taking bank cards had been down all day and they were only taking cash. As I had not came in with $350 to pay cash, I had to make a trip to the bank. Not their fault. Got right in and got my prescription. Just wanted to post something positive after all the negative reviews. Karen waited on me and she was great! read more

I hate using this pharmacy. They are the worst. While the staff is friendly and nice they are always very very under staffed and over worked. Always a wait and no communication between staff members. So if they leave you a message on your phone don't bother repeating it to the next member because they will know nothing about it and neither will anyone else. Nor will they know who left the message. Very frustrating !!!! read more

I dropped off a prescription at this location from the ER on 1/16/18. I go to check on the prescription 1/17/18 around 5:30 pm to find out that the pharmacy says my insurance is denying to pay and they don't know why so they obviously never contacted the insurance company to inquire why it was denied. So I said that's fine I will pay for it as my son needs this medicine to help him breathe. 20 mins later the pharmacist comes out and says sorry I just realized I don't have that medicine in stock. So they sent me to a different Walgreens I talk with the pharmacist and she's said it was a common error with the insurance and fixed it in about 30 seconds. Stay away from the pharmacy on 167th and Oak Park ave. They obviously don't know what they are doing. read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would but when someone is sick and they need the antibiotics they probably need then ASAP! Being told by the automated system an hour then I go and it's not ready they tell me my insurance company is down. So I call my insurance company and nope everything was fine on their end. They even approved it over the phone with me so I call Walgreens back and had about 3 rude people until I got a old man I would say and he finally had someone their call my insurance and look at that it was approved! So now 24hrs later I finally have my meds and I can start feeling better! read more

I have never had an issue with any Walgreens other than this location. The pharmacy seems to always be understaffed or mismanaged. I have waited in line every time I go for at least 10-15 minutes and many times I will be the first person in line but the one associate able to help is only focusing on the drive thru or the counter, and doesn't seem to acknowledge the other line of people waiting. The staff seems oblivious to the people waiting. It doesn't seem like the pharmacy is any busier than others I have visited, so I'm not sure why there is always a wait here. They never apologize for the long lines or wait, and when asked about how long the wait might be the employees get very snippy and rude. Going to start getting my scripts filled at the location farther away that seems to have less issues. read more

This store is horrible! Understaffed-especially the pharmacy. Even when I call in a prescription, I still have to wait at least half an hour due to the line. I don't have a car so I have no choice. Plus the regular registers are always under-manned. I have never seen the two registers being used at the same time. read more

Always loved this store and the managers are great and very helpful until Aug. 31 2017. As I walked in, someone was cleaning the floor, wires all over the place, no cones in place to warn customers to be careful. The regulars including my favorite managers were not there. It took me half an hour to shop for my items and cut out coupons. After I filled my cart and went to the front cashier and unloaded my purchases I took out my debit card and was told cash only. I did not have cash and asked the cashier why wasn't it announced before I unloaded my things or better yet announced to the customers when they entered the store.I asked for the manager and the cashier didn't bother to call her to the front and told me "she was back there". When I approached her ( someone new) she said the machine is not working. No apology no nothing. The regular managers would NEVER let something like this happen. The new dummies need alot of training before their left in charge at Walgreen's.I took my business to CVS and was very satisfied. If the regular employees do not return to Walgreen's I will not shop there again. read more

Had to speak with the pharmacist about my 3 year olds medicine that was just picked up...they did not put any flavor in the amoxicillin. When I called back to ask if they can please add some because she is only 3 and will not keep it down otherwise...her response was to bad. Then without even asking for a new dose she said go ahead and call the doctor and have them give you a new script and pay for it in full because what we filled already went through your insurance. Feeling as though this person obviously did not care to help me I asked to speak to someone else which caused her to just hang up on me instead....it's a shame that Walgreens allows for such rude behavior... will never be shopping there again. read more
