This place has recently changed their name to "Salon Centric" but the employees are the same. They have had the same pleasant employees since I started coming here and that is always a plus. They are so nice and helpful. They will most likely greet you by name when you walk in if you come here enough. They sell professional hair products such as Redken, Rusk, Big Sexy Hair, Bed Head, Alterna etc. at wholesale prices. They carry items for chemical, skincare, and nails services. They accommodate from the work at home stylist to the large salon orders. They also have salon furniture and offer a list of continuing education classes.

On today's visit, I purchased products to do a finger coil style. It took exactly three hours and twenty-two minutes to complete. I loved the finished result but my arms and fingers got quite the work out. Next month I will return to purchase Afro-kinky bulk hair for a twist style.

I was greeted by this incredibly kind and knowledgeable young lady, Nicole. She about stole my heart...I knew I liked the people in this city but she takes the cake. She was sweet and helpful and as much as she knows I can shop online, she makes coming into the store worth while! The staff I interacted with were kind and professional, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, my pedicure experience itself was anything but relaxing. There is a sign posted at the front stating that children are not allowed unless they are being serviced and that strollers and carriers are not permitted. However, during my appointment there was a dog being pushed through the salon in a stroller that barked repeatedly. Aside from the obvious sanitation concerns of animals in a nail salon environment, this was extremely uncomfortable for me personally. I have a longstanding fear of dogs due to childhood trauma, and I spent most of my appointment anxious and on the verge of tears while trying to get through what should have been a relaxing service. To add to the atmosphere, there was also a very loud conversation happening in the next room that carried throughout the salon. I truly wanted to enjoy returning here because the staff were kind, but the experience was tense and stressful instead of peaceful. If policies are posted at the door, they should be applied consistently so that all customers can feel comfortable and have the relaxing experience they came in for.

Pedicure was good, average. I got gel dip and one of my nails was a bit too clumpy. She did not use a cuticle softener nor warm water. Just the tool and her fingernails to push my cuticles back. I give 2 stars instead of 3 because after she was finished with the fingernail clippers and cuticle tool she placed them back in her bin without attempting to wipe them down. I know I'm not paying for top of the line sanitary equipment but come on some basic efforts could have been utilized. For me it was a convenient shop to get my nails done after shopping and it seems they have several loyal customers. But for me I don't have to return, was not above average for me.
