Gayle has done my eyeliner & eyebrows for 10 years. (Eyebrows occasionally need touch up.) She is very professional. The office is like a doctor's office & very clean. Gayle has years of experience. She is EXCELLENT at this. Many people have gone to her after seeing my eyebrows & eyeliner. My eyesight is not the best, so having permanent makeup takes out the frustration of trying to get lines even. Everyday it looks great! Wet or dry. There is some discomfort during the process for obvious reasons, but that is over quickly. To me, a small price to pay for not having to worry about doing eyeliner & eyebrows. I have been seeing Gayle for YEARS. She has been doing services for my mom and now me. I get my eyebrows done by Gayle and she does electrolysis. Do NOT go here for Laser Hair removal, especially if you are not white. I went here for about a year and totally regretted it. I ended up finding a very high end medspa in the Gold Coast/downtown Chicago that used a higher quality laser and treated me for less than half the price. I feel completely fleeced when I think about my experience with Gayle. As someone with medium skin tone, I strongly urge you to not visit Gayle - she does not have the right laser for your skin type and even made some racial remarks (this was years ago, so hopefully her mindset has changed). Use the a & d ointment as recommended it helps heal quickly and stops the itch 3-4 days after, because they are very itchy when healing.Clean and serene environment. I went to Gayle after even my husband started noticing that my eyebrows were disappearing because of age-related hair loss. I did a lot of research on other permanent cosmetic specialists before I chose her and she was by far the most experienced. Gayle has been doing hair removal since 1988 and permanent cosmetics since the 1990s. She is also certified as a permanent cosmetics trainer. She gets many referrals from cosmetic surgeons for patients who need corrective or reconstructive work due to birth defects, cancer treatments, accidents, burn trauma, or alopecia. In other words, she knows what she's doing. She's also not cheap, but then you get what you pay for. After hearing horror stories from friends who had had botched eye tattooing done by cheaper but less experienced technicians, I figured it was well worth the extra money to have the job done right. Gayle did not disappoint me. She exactly matched the color of the ink she used on my brows and eyes (I also had permanent eyeliner done while I was at it) to complement my skin tone and did such a good job applying it that I needed only minimal touch-ups at my post-operative checkup (which she does at no charge as long as it takes place within a month after application). She also offers package deals if you get more than one procedure done at a time, and discounts if you pay cash since it eliminates check processing fees. It was worth every penny to have eyebrows again! Some cautions: if you get your eyebrows done, prepare yourself (and your family and friends) to look like Joan Crawford for about a week after the procedure. It takes that long for the excess pigment to wear off. And yes, it does smart to have tattooing applied around the eyes, so you may need ice packs and ibuprofen for a few days. But no gain without pain! Definitely worth the price! read more

I was a bit skeptical because I had a scar on my eyebrow for fifty years from an injury as a child. I had been using a brow pencil to fill the area in for years.
