This store appears to be badly understaffed; I had two experiences within the last month where I had to work to find someone to attend to the register and check me out. I'm wondering if this location has a hard time hiring people in the pharmacy due to location. Every time I go there it's a super long wait (I'm talking like 30 mins wait time), no matter what time I go. It's still more convenient than driving into Tucson. They are friendly despite always being busy. I was wary to send a prescription here because of the other reviews, but it was most convenient so I gave it a chance. Thankfully, it all worked out: I didn't have to wait long at the pharmacy, the staff was really nice, and I even got to speak with the store manager Nikki while at the photo counter. Even though the store was busy, she was very kind as well, and helped out when there was an issue with the order I'd made. I'll definitely be returning to this location, and my only regret is that I didn't get more names to explicitly thank for the pleasant experience! read more

If I could give less I would and it seems like most of Vail AZ agrees with the quality of the pharmacy service here. Had an appt at 12:45 for my 99 year old grandmother for an RSV shot, get there and stand in line waiting to check in until around 1 pm when a lady behind the counter announces they are done with vaccines until after their hour lunch!!!! MY GRANDMOTHERS HEALTH IS WORTH MORE THAN YOUR FUCKING TURKEY SANDWICH!!!! The pharmacy manager, Janice, needs to be replaced. The whole pharmacy team in fact. We spend a lot of money there on prescriptions and as of today no longer will. So glad the Safeway took us as walk ins and their pharmacy is run much smoother. Probably the worst pharmacy I've ever had to use. Prescription called in a day before was never listened to or filled. My wife fell and fractured her humerus , a painful injury, and at night Motrin was not enough for her. I wrote a Rx for tramadol , but since it was out of state they would not fill the prescription. There is a national data base for narcotic prescriptions. A quick check would have shown that my wife does not take narcotics. Obviously they were too lazy or overwhelmed to check. So now she is moaning from pain in the middle of the night. We are switching pharmacies. read more

Have been using this pharmacy for quite some time, over 5 years or more. They have gone from being a friendly business to one that just doesn't seem to care about their customers. For example, my doctor called in a prescription on Thursday, I went today Sunday, and was told it just wasn't ready. I could wait 45 minutes or so. This wasn't the only time that they have not had prescriptions ready. I told the curt lady waiting on me that this would be the last time I have my prescriptions filled here and guess what her response was... ok good! The store better send her to customer service school before she treats more people this way, in fact the lady before me also was told she would have to wait for her prescription that was called in. 90 days ago the prescription was automatically refilled and we were told we did not need to call ahead to have it filled or check to see if it was ready. 90 days later we drive to the location and we're told the prescription is not filled and we would need to make another trip back in two hour. Like many other people have said, this pharmacy needs to be shut down. Second time now I have gone to pickup my prescription during normal hours and arrived to a sign that said "the pharmacist is out". They weren't supposed to close for 2 more hours and I had just talked to the guy (after waiting a LITERAL HOUR on the phone) who said he would have my prescription ready. Like what?? Now I have to wait till the next day to pickup. People could die with this kind of practice. In the very least they will suffer. Not to mention every time I have ever gone to the drive thru I have waited a minimum 25 minutes in line even if there were only 2 cars ahead of me. Go somewhere else, folks!! read more

I started working for them and in the six days I lasted I found micro management to be completely ineffective, the gaslighting of the management to employees is outstanding, the fact that they force you to lie to customers is appalling. I have spent too much of my life going to and from this management neglected pharmacy only to learn that meds aren't ready and that I have to wait 30-45 mins after waiting that long in line just to get to someone to help me. Plan to wait an hour for them to tell you they either a) haven't started your prescription yet (no matter how long ago it was called in hours or days) or b) they don't have it in stock or c) the pharmacist is missing. This pharmacy is just terrible. They previously messed up my 3 month prescription and only gave me one month (they said no problem they would fix it next time). Now they say there is nothing they can do but give me 2 more one month prescriptions. So now I have to go there three times instead of one time and I have to pay three copays instead of one. I asked to get my prescription filled last Wednesday to be done on Saturday..it is now TUESDAY and it is still not ready and whenever I try to call they never answer. The update is that this pharmacy has actually gotten worse. I can't offer them 0 stars, sadly, so they get another 1 from me. I am somewhat impressed though. This Pharmacy is clean and well-stocked. Although, it takes them hours upon hours to fill a prescription and you will wait hours and then be informed that the medication that you need needs to be ordered. So I was in their store for hours just to find out the medication that I needed wasn't in stock and it would be there within 48 hours. The people behind the desk and need to take the time look at the orders make sure before they tell somebody it will be done and a half hour or 45 minutes but the supply is in stock. This store is really giving me a bad taste and my mouth about customer service. This is my favorite Walgreens! The employees are very nice and knowledgeable and the store is clean and well stocked. The pharmacy techs, except for one, are compassionate and friendly; almost like family. Not sure what is up with the 1 female tech but she isn't a happy person; it's like night and day compared to all the others. What do I love the most -- THE MUSIC! This is my favorite Walgreens! The clerks at the front registers all are very distinct characters and, as such, are quite entertaining. You know what kind of greeting you'll get depending on who is on the register that day. The store is usually well stocked and the shelves aren't instantly denuded right after the store opens Sunday morning and people trample the aisles snapping up the couponed items from the Sunday newspaper insert! If I could give zero stars I would. I scheduled vaccinations online for the flu and covid booster for 12:45 pm. The info on their site said to be there 15 minutes early, so I arrived at 12:30 and brought the filled out paperwork they gave in their link. Went to check in and the guy said to have a seat and I would be called up. There were several people before me and some of them had clipboards filling out paperwork. I assumed they had not printed out the info from the online scheduling site. After about 45 minutes I went back to the counter to see what was going on. They said I had not been checked in and they were going to lunch at 1:30 and I needed to come back for my vaccinations. Seriously???? They were having pizza delivered, so I guess that was more important than taking care of a customer who had been sitting there for an hour. When I called later to express my concerns, I talked to two different people and not once did anyone apologize for what happened. All they kept telling me was that they had to take lunch at 1:30. That really wasn't the issue. I get mistakes happen, but at least own up and apologize. I am done with them! read more
