I don't feel comfortable walking into the store because there's constantly panhandlers out front. I don't feel safe in the parking lot. I stopped in there recently and faced 3 pan handlers. My elderly father goes there and he's afraid to walk in also. I don't know what's happening. My experience with Walgreens pharmacy specifically located on Campbell Ave in W. Haven CT in which there wD a medication error that could have cost me my life if I after months of illness/ reaction from the medication mixup wasn't detected by mry recognizing the error! Despite my reporting this to the pharmacy that they made this error! They took the medications checked them and said they would quarantine the meds and report to the corporate office. To date I have not heard from the Walgreens Corporate office and I sent an email to attorney Tong and sought legal help only to be turned down for various reasons related to conflict if interest and not worth the time. I could continue on as to my never receiving any kind of response from anyone about this serious matter and I wasn't looking for money but for anyone out there that has went to this Walgreens Pharmacy on Campbell Ave. or any other Walgreens beware. In closing this may have happened to someone who didn't live to tell about it. I was offered help from an attorney to help get the word out to the Walgreens Corporate office and that had me thanking God for a lifeline but unfortunately it came into a dry season where they have suddenly began talking about how Walgreens is going through WHATEVER!! Well, Walgreens Corporate office, my months of illness, my doctor, attorneys never looked into this situation. However, my body holds the evidence, my family and freinds saw my decline(visible) I have the evidence(photos) of the pills Prenisone 1mg. mixed in the same bottle was Hydrochlorathiacide (not a prescribed medication ever for me) Prnisone 1mg. however was. It was awful. I waiting in the line at RX for 45 mins and They told me that they so not have it my meds. It was awful not enough staff

This is the worst pharmacy. The phone is never answered. There is always 5-15 people in line . Generally the prescription is never ready even when notification for pick up has been sent. And the employees are uncaring and rude. This pharmacy should be closed immediately. Rating is -0. read more

This pharmacy section of this star does not even deserve 1 star. Long lines, mass chaos, prescription bags littered all over the floor. It's not for lack of staff. There were at least 5 people working behind the counter. Vaccine appointments not kept timely. I was there on time and there was an older couple who were there for their appt scheduled 1 hr and 20 min earlier than mine. And because Walgreens changed their computer system it was rejecting my insurance. I had to find that out by calling my insurance company and was told Walgreens can't figure out their own system. read more

Pharmacy service is consistently inept. My internist called in a common antibiotic and 24 hrs later, after numerous phone calls made to check on status of prescription, it has still not been completed. This pharmacy is either under-staffed and /or incompetent and unreliable. A disgrace. read more

This is by faaar the worst Walgreens I've ever stepped foot inside. "Customer service" is on another level of disrespect for help, or lack thereof. I could give you examples 20x over. No regard for the unwell humans trying to get their meds and be okay. The wait time to get meds is like no place I've ever been, there is never enough staff, the attitudes, how some are so confused on how to simply check someone out. very upset that Walgreens has closed most of its local pharmacies. no explanation, no warning just closed. I'm trying to get medication for my sick child but it's stuck in limbo tuesday is when they are sent over, put of stidk! Wednesday again out of stock! Thursday Walgreens Pharmacies are all "TEMPORARILY CLOSED" so the prescriptions that were out of stock were sent to another pharmacy that can't fill them because Walgreens supposedly did. So now I still can't get my childs meds after hours of fighting with the insurance company, CVS, and Pediatrician! not fair! not professional! read more

The worst store management I have ever witnessed. No carts and when I ask management she just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I continued speaking to her because I had a question about pricing of Coke. She pointed out a sign that said pricing for Sprite and Pepsi, I mentioned that it didn't list Coke, she said well anyone should be able to tell that it is the same price as Sprite because it was sitting next to it and then treated me like an imbecile. Mind you I own and run 5 very successful business in CT. I then started to ask her another questions and she literally just walked away while I was talking to her. This is how you treat customers? You would think that possibly she might notice the store is filthy like a 3rd world country and maybe focus on that rather than being abusive to a regular paying customer. The helpful staff never changes and you always see the same faces. :) A great store to have open 24/7 for those times you get ill during the night or need to develop pictures for a work related thing and drive by on your way to work... yes, I may be speaking from experience :) read more

I have been using this Walgreens for over 6 years now . The first couple of years I had a Great experience.The Pharmacist I had at the time was so excellent I called thier Corporate office to put in a good word for him ! However, ever since he has left and thier hours changed .I have seen many employees come and go. As of now I am very unhappy with the Pharmacy staff .Most are unfriendly, Also you can tell they don't want to work. Heaven forbid you ask them to bag anything other than meds! .There is always a long wait (over 30 minutes usually ) The Pharmacy will keep you on hold on the phone until you GIVE UP and end up hanging up !!! Because I am disabled I often unfortunately have to spend a GREAT DEAL of money in thier store because I'm not well enough to make more than one trip or do heavy lifting. I am considering calling corporate with my complaints because things seem to be getting worse there. After all the money I spend thier monthly. It would be nice to receive feedback. I am gonna give it one more month however making note on employees names and actions to see if they change after getting use to thier new positions. After that I will call call Corporate to complain if need be.I will be filling out the surveys on the end of thier reciepts as well ! Obviously the next step is too use another Pharmacy but I hope it doesn't come to that ! I hope this review helps people out there. FYI today's date is July 24th. The perfect place for the dumbest people on the planet to work! Each time I have been there is always a series of events that take place to substantiate this statement. I could literally write a book about the moronic events that take place at this Walgreens involving the management and employees. Just today I went in to purchase a myriad of things only to find that there were not shopping carts or baskets. When I mentioned it to the two cashiers behind the register, they just looked at me in the most dumbfounded way imaginable. I just said, thank you anyway and left. Great place for a character study of how NOT to run a business. Just try saying thank you to a cashier there sometime; the response is typically a grunt or nothing at all. read more

Horrible, horrible pharmacy. Unfortunately, yes, the faces do never change. They will leave your prescriptions on hold for months (while knowing it) and NEVER even bother to call or contact your doctor to clear it up. Instead, they expect you to do THEIR job and you clear it up. Since when is it not a pharmacists job to communicate with dr's? They don't even know their own job description.. Prescriptions that you pick up ROUTINELY will be out of stock the DAY YOU NEED THEM even though they know you pick up the same quanitity at the same time EVERY month. Go to CVS across the street if you want real service. I tried filing a complaint with the pharmacy manager after 20+ minutes of waiting on hold and he HUNG up on me without EVER even staying on long enough to get the complaint. Never Again will I darken their doors. I have used them for many years but the service keeps getting worse. I have had multiple bad experiences with the photo department and have not used them for pictures for quite some time; well, now I won't use them for anything. Last week they kept my daughter's doctor on hold for 15 minutes he had to hang up and wrote me a prescription, which I dropped off and was told to return in half an hour; 1 hour later I went to pick up the prescription and THEY DON'T HAVE IT...and they didn't call...even after I just updated my phone records with them! When I suggested to the clerk that they should have called me, she said that "they have a machine for that"....ok, but your machine didn't call me OR my machine either...took the prescription to Rite Aid on Elm where the pharmacist, working solo and obviously busy provided service pleasantly and efficiently without a wait...bye bye Walgreens! read more
