Gooey bagel interior with perfect crispy crust--for the perfect chew.

Wow, yet another hidden gem of Sperryville! Try to get to the Bakeshop early--the smell of freshly baked the sourdough rye was intoxicating. I opted for the cheese and sourdough onion bread (amazing!) but the true test for this Jersey boy was the everything bagel. So legit! The gooey, air pocked interior is perfectly balance with the crisp exterior that yields the perfect chew. So so good. I levitated! Thank you Doug and Dori--and many thanks to your grandmother! We had breakfast here during our brief Sperryville stay, and it was delish! If you have a chance to stop in, try the quiche!

Everything you want in a bakery. Fresh bagkes, Babka, macaroons, funky cookies and a family run business. Must stop here.

Whenever we have friends visiting from out of town, the babka muffins are the first thing we stock up on.

We had such a wonderful experience at Broad Porch Coffee!…read more The salmon and dill toast was absolutely incredible--the presentation alone was beautiful, and it tasted even better. Everything was so fresh and perfectly balanced. It was so good that we ended up ordering two more to go just so our older teens could try it too! We also had the kale and roasted grape salad, and it was exactly what my palate needed--light, refreshing, and full of flavor. You can really tell they put thought into every ingredient. Overall, such a great spot with amazing food and attention to detail. We'll definitely be back!

Fantastic little café. We came in on a Sunday morning around 10:00 and it was packed. Amazingly,…read morewith a line snaking around tables, we didn't wait more than 10 minutes to order and food was ready in under 5. Seeing how much looked good and we were tourists, we over-ordered and got to try a little of everything. From the summer menu, we got Biscuit and Gravy, Paradise Parfait, and the Bread Pudding. I enjoyed my biscuit and gravy - pretty solid. Child #1 devoured his parfait (I tried it and I think it may have been my favorite item - they also have a vegan chia seed option - a woman was enjoying hers next to us when we waited in line), and my wife loved the bread pudding, which has a nice maple glaze to it. We also grabbed several of their pastries, including some scones, a muffin, and a buckwheat cake slice. All were great, though the buckwheat pastry was a tad dry. They have a lot of standard offerings of a coffee shop - teas, coffees, lattes, etc. I got a matcha latte and found it to be earthy and not too sweet. The inside is a bit narrow, especially when you consider a long line. The staff are efficient but don't lose their warm hospitality. Broad Porch has an Air BNB "Loft in Luray" located upstairs. I imagine it would be wonderful waking up to the smell of coffee and pastries. I would say if you're visiting Luray, Broad Porch is a MUST VISIT. There's something for everyone. Highly recommended.

I grabbed a shopping cart and my son was excited to jump in and help me pick out all of the goodies. I grabbed handmade cheese balls, classic old-time candy for our gingerbread house, pretzels stuffed with peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies that were proudly advertised as having no additives or preservatives. Don't worry, these cookies didn't last more than 5 minutes with my kids. Outside, there is a fun petting zoo, where you can buy feed and raise it up on a conveyer belt to feed the goats. Also, there are playgrounds that are fantastic. They're also available to buy but so nice the kids could experience such a high quality play set while I shopped. It was one of our highlights in visiting Madison.

The store was very organized and had such a huge variety of products and options to browse through. Everyone was friendly, and I truly could've spent an hour just walking around looking. Even at checkout, the cashier was very kind and welcoming. I would definitely stop back in if I'm ever in the area again!
