Another fantastic spot in downtown Madison. This place was such a hit with my family. They were so welcoming with my kids and it was a highlight of our time in Madison. In fact, I asked my son what his favorite thing was on our trip in this area, and it was this spot, where they had a fun game of hiding candy canes for the kids to find. We stopped in for lunch and the meal was fantastic. We ordered off the specials menu with the grilled cheese with bacon jam, a bowl of tomato soup and the naan pizza. The grilled cheese was perfectly balanced with salt and savory. And the tomato soup was a delicious pairing. The coffee was hot and tasty. In fact, I came back here several times during our visit to Madison. The biggest hit of all though was the giant chalkboard in the back. I stopped by here the last time I came this way for a hiking trip. I was trying to find this place again and did, no thanks to my gps. lol. Anyways, it was just as good as I remember. My sister and I got vanilla lattes (hers half sweet and mine with an extra shot). We also decided on a pastry. I got the blueberry muffin which was packed with fresh blueberries. She got the churro croissant. I wish we asked to have them warmed. That would've made them even better. Anyways, we enjoyed this pit stop and I'm going to try to find this place again, even if the service in the area isn't the best! read more

The coffee I order always tastes freshly roasted. It's a go-to destination for me when I want coffee outside of my home. I look forward to trying some of the food they offer, because it looks delicious... Randomly, I'm just not hungry when I get my coffee from them lol. This was a perfect pit stop for coffee and treats. Our kids needed a break down the road to Charlottesville, and it was super convenient to drop by here without going off the main road too much. We shared some apple cider and their apple butter donut. The apple butter donut was delicious, and not overly sweet! The apple cider was good, nothing spectacular but appreciate a warm drink nonetheless. Seating is a tad cozy so don't expect to stick around too long. It is baby friendly as they have a changing table! Service was also great. Will def drop by if we have another trip along the way! read more

This was disappointing. I had a $15.00 breakfast. A $9.00 breakfast burrito, which was small and out of the microwave. Served on a small plate with absolutely nothing telling me that this was worth $9.00. In other words, there was no presentation on the plate, no berries, peppermint sprague, or a slice of tomato to fill the plate. Again, nothing extra, no fries, hash browns or tater tots. My regular small cup of coffee was $4.75. It was a s all cup of coffee. Granted, the restaurants atmosphere is rustic and cute, however, that's not enough to keep you coming. Ordering is at the counter where there's no room to get in or out, or around customers. They don't have a kitchen, so orders are cooked one at a time. And I mean one at a time, they make an order, give it to the customer, then they make the other order, so no one is eating at the same time. They really need to make some serious adjustments to their restaurant if they're planning to survive. Frankly, it's overpriced and underwhelming. read more

I have stopped by a few times lately and have been delighted each time. I usually get the cookies and cream cold brew(1/2sweet) and a blueberry scone. The scones are amazing, not too sweet & the perfect texture. I've also had their quiche and it was delicious too. My friend got the breakfast burrito and said it was delicious, not too big and not too small. The store is not very big but does have several tables. It is very cute, was an old bank. If I could only sit by the window with my coffee and read there all day, sigh. The staff are friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend stopping by to grab a bite to go or stay. read more

We live in town and so can just walk up to this great little coffee shop bakery. Had friends in town a few weeks ago who were camping at a local campground and this was the perfect place to meet up for coffee and breakfast. They have a handful of really nice breakfast sandwiches, bagels other treats to go with your coffee. So nice to have an upscale coffee spot right here in Madison! A few tables inside and out, so you can stop and rest a bit with your breakfast. They make the best cinnamon rolls, think I've ever had but you have to get there early to catch them on Saturday and Sunday! read more

Main Street in Madison never tasted so good. Stopped in on a whim Saturday Morning. Had really excellent sausage gravy. The kind with real chunks of flavorful sausage ( made fresh) over a fresh homemade biscuit. Can't get better unless it's served over fried chicken fillet and country ham. Oh yummm!!!! Can't fail to mention just out of the oven ( not reheated in a microwave) quiche. Delicious! Such a cute relaxed and happy atmosphere. They also have baked goods and lunch. We had a wonderful experience working with Merri and Cakekrums for our wedding! Although it was the most expensive of the three places we did tastings at, after meeting Merri and trying her cake we knew we had to have it for our wedding because it was by far the most delicious! She has 3 pages of classic, fun, and unique flavor combinations to choose from and deciding was one of the hardest parts! All our guests raved about the cake and we only wish there were leftovers after so we could have had more :) Merri was very personable and responsive and we enjoyed working with her! read more
