Fantastic little café. We came in on a Sunday morning around 10:00 and it was packed. Amazingly, with a line snaking around tables, we didn't wait more than 10 minutes to order and food was ready in under 5. Seeing how much looked good and we were tourists, we over-ordered and got to try a little of everything. From the summer menu, we got Biscuit and Gravy, Paradise Parfait, and the Bread Pudding. I enjoyed my biscuit and gravy - pretty solid. Child #1 devoured his parfait (I tried it and I think it may have been my favorite item - they also have a vegan chia seed option - a woman was enjoying hers next to us when we waited in line), and my wife loved the bread pudding, which has a nice maple glaze to it. We also grabbed several of their pastries, including some scones, a muffin, and a buckwheat cake slice. All were great, though the buckwheat pastry was a tad dry. They have a lot of standard offerings of a coffee shop - teas, coffees, lattes, etc. I got a matcha latte and found it to be earthy and not too sweet. The inside is a bit narrow, especially when you consider a long line. The staff are efficient but don't lose their warm hospitality. Broad Porch has an Air BNB "Loft in Luray" located upstairs. I imagine it would be wonderful waking up to the smell of coffee and pastries. I would say if you're visiting Luray, Broad Porch is a MUST VISIT. There's something for everyone. Highly recommended.
Loved their espresso tonic! I also got their salmon & cream cheese toast that was delicious with arugula and radish slices on top. My husband's breakfast burrito was a hefty burrito!! It had cheese, egg, steak and potatoes. Interior of the coffee shop was also adorable. I loved their wall mural.
Broad Porch Coffee was so cute, we visited two days in a row. Both times, they were quite busy, but we were able to snag some seating. The interior was cozy with nice decor - exposed brick, a wall mural, comfy booth/couch seating, and a section for merch. They also had a small outdoor area in the back, but it was all high-top seating. The only non-cute element were the unfriendly staff members. They weren't super warm towards the patrons, and were even less nice to each other, which was a bit jarring. Otherwise, we had a good experience! The first time, I ordered the Salmon & Dill Toast and an unsweetened Mango Iced Tea. The Salmon & Dill Toast was great - tasty, filling, cute presentation. The Mango Iced Tea was pretty standard, but refreshing. The next day, I got a Breakfast Sammie with no bacon (pretty good, but I'm sure it's better with bacon) and a Lemon Poundcake Cold Brew. The Lemon Poundcake syrup was subtle and very unique - interesting to try, but maybe not one I'd repeat. However, my friend's Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte was fantastic. Overall, good for coffee and a light breakfast!

The staff was so friendly, I wish we weren't so full so we could dig into their beautiful looking pastries! The espresso tonic is definitely a must try, we recommend the orange with it!

At first I was worried it wouldn't be filling enough but it was the perfect amount of food. We of course snagged some coffee and loved our drinks so much we came back just a day or two later for some more!
The ambience in here is so fun. I love the mid century and antique furniture mix and the stenciled walls. The coffee shop was filled with people of all ages and backgrounds. I tried the matcha scone - delicious. Also got an oat milk iced latte with the housemade brown sugar syrup - came out great and not too sweet. Staff was friendly. Our only suggestion is that the counter to order gets super cramped because it's also right where the food orders get placed when ready. If they put the ready orders on the left end of the counter (where a staff was rolling silverware) it would alleviate congestion.
We had such a wonderful experience at Broad Porch Coffee! The salmon and dill toast was absolutely incredible--the presentation alone was beautiful, and it tasted even better. Everything was so fresh and perfectly balanced. It was so good that we ended up ordering two more to go just so our older teens could try it too! We also had the kale and roasted grape salad, and it was exactly what my palate needed--light, refreshing, and full of flavor. You can really tell they put thought into every ingredient. Overall, such a great spot with amazing food and attention to detail. We'll definitely be back!
Even with a long line, Broad Porch kept things moving and got the food and drinks out fast! I had a lavender latte that was spectacular -- and I'm a pretty picky coffee snob, so that's saying something. The first day I tried the breakfast burrito (super filling and delicious), and the next day I wasn't as hungry so I went for the vegan chia seed pudding with granola ... so yummy I actually tried to recreate it at home (still not quite as good as theirs!). Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area -- definitely worth it!

Very spacious and comfortable facility. It has a nice balcony with seating in the back. The Tabbouleh Breakfast Salad, the Parfait, and the Mushroom Quiche were very good. They also serve a nice Cortado. Staff was friendly. read more
Drinks: the cappuccino was 5/5 however the cold brew tasted like water with a touch of coffee. Would definitely recommend an espresso drink or just normal hot coffee. Service: 5/5 pretty quick, VERY busy but that's likely because it was the only coffee shop open in Luray at 10am on Sunday. Everyone was super nice! Ambiance: seating indoors and outdoors, larger table near the bathroom if you have a bigger party but generally seating for 2-4. read more
Very nice little cafe in the heart of Luray. Had the bread pudding, quiche, biscuits /gravy, hot chocolate, coffee. Everything was really good. The service is quite fast even when really booming. Service is really helpful! read more

Had a delicious latte with their special seasonal flavor "black sesame" and it was sooo good. The bean quality was definitely excellent and the latte was made with lots of care and attention. The space is also really cozy and well designed. read more
Absolutely loved the cold brew, not harsh nor aftertaste! The vibes were amazing and VERY busy on a Saturday in the fall (of course!) at 0830... I think the only complaint I have is that I'd love if it were open a wee bit earlier! read more

The matcha and iced coffees were great! I really enjoyed the lox on open faced toast. My friend got a breakfast sandwich which they enjoyed as well. The ambiance was very earthy and welcoming. The workers were sweet and helpful. Great place to stop after a hike or exploring Luray! read more

Yes, creativity is the keyword here. Quaint, inviting interior, cute outside area overlooking a little river. Creative, seasonal flavors, food comes up quickly, and the salted chocolate chip cookie is out of this world. Nice staff too! read more
Stumbled across this shop when looking for coffee while in the Luray area. Cute decor, exposed brick and lots of plants. Stopped in for coffee and we were tempted by the breakfast sandwich so we gave it a try. The lattes were very good (hot and iced) I was happy to see they have oat milk. I don't love biscuits but the breakfast sandwich was good. Not terribly crowded at 10am on a weekday, but I imagine that is Luray in general, and not a reflection on the popularity of the cafe. It is one of two restaurants in Luray I would return to. Service was quick and friendly. If I ever came back to town I would definitely come back. read more

I needed caffeine in the morning so I'm glad this coffee shop was in town. I thought the coffee was decent. The baristas were friendly. It was busy in the morning so there was a bit of a line. The place had a cozy, homey atmosphere. read more
My fiance visited Luray as a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the DMV. We stayed in a classic cabin in the woods. Anytime we visit a new town, city, state, we always make it a point to stop into a local coffeeshop vs a national chain. I saw the pics and reviews on Yelp and knew we needed to stop in to Broad Porch Coffee. We ended up coming here twice, once on a Saturday morning around 10am and on our way out of town on Sunday around 12pm. Both times were pretty busy, which is how you know it's going to be a good experience! I read a review that their dirty chai's were great so that's what I went with. The first time, I ordered it as an iced dirty vanilla chai with skim and it was so so good! My fiance had a skim mocha. Also, very good. Not too sweet, def more coffee/espresso flavor than overwhelmingly chocolate. I also ordered a buttermilk biscuit with jam. Yum yum yum!!! Our second visit, we each had food this time. I again, went off reviews and had the salmon and dill toast and he opted for a biscuit because sadly they were out of burritos and gravy at the time we were there :/ The salmon and dill spread toast was so good. I was worried it might be a bit dill heavy, but it was just right and the toast was perfectly toasted, not soggy at all. This time i got my dirty vanilla chai hot, and it was absolutely Christmas in a Cup! I almost ordered another one for the road back because I drank it so fast! However, I did get a biscuit with honey to go and it was perfection! The employees were fast, friendly, and helpful. The place is clean and in a really pretty location right by the creek that runs alongside it. If we are ever in Luray again, we will definitely be back! read more

Barista greeted us right away with a smile. We've never been here and I think she could sense that. She handed us the menus which was helpful. The vibes in this place on a Tuesday were immaculate. This place gave me the happiness of having a day off and catching up with friends. The food was warm and nice for a quick bite. read more

We love finding cute little, local coffee shops when visiting a new place. I saw this place had great reviews and decided to stop in. As expected, it was a very busy week day. The cold brew was really delicious. It was smooth and quite enjoyable. I'm picky when it comes to coffee. The food menu was somewhat eccentric and not for someone who likes the basics. I had the swamp toast, which included spinach, sausage, okra and garlic spread on sourdough. It sounds weird but surprisingly very tasty. My husband had the banana chocolate chip muffin and said it was amazing. He was however, somewhat disappointed by the lack of "the basic" breakfast items and settled for just a muffin. His palate is not as daring as mine is. Overall, this was a cute spot and the bites were enjoyable. read more

Will always give this little neighborhood spot 5 stars Coffee, food, decor, staff - it's all always lovely. Shoutout to their salmon toast that is a sensory masterpiece and way prettier than me. We arrived early, about ten minutes after they opened. Every employee behind the counter greeted us. They have small menus at the counter and the young lady was sure to hand us them. She also explained where to pick up our order. We placed our order and paid. Went and sat down. We ordered two coffees and two biscuits n' gravy. Both were delicious. They do not hide the flavor of the coffee with tons of added syrups. One could ask for that, however, I want to taste the coffee, not sugary syrup. I digress. The homemade biscuits were delicious, as was the gravy. Included fully cooked meatball sized pieces of sausage. Great flavor and again fully cooked. I cut pieces up to check. The entire facility was clean, busy, but not chaotic. Locals as well as tourists came by to purchase drinks and food. Nice place. Nice service and delicious breakfast. Would definitely visit again if we are in the area. Would recommend to those visiting Luray. read more

Love a well ran coffee shop. Really convenient spot in downtown Luray with views of the water stream. Limited menu but great options, nevertheless. The service was efficient and the food came out great. A small shop overall, but plenty of space to sit or take things on the go and walk around downtown. A place you must try if you're looking for a quick bite and a coffee in the morning in Luray. read more

Visiting this coffee shop has been the highlight of our vacation. A drink and Arnold Palmer every day and this one is the best I've ever had. My daughter had their magic and said it changed her life. I know we sound like dramatic people, but I swear we're not. Everything was fantastic. We have gone every morning and I highly recommend it. read more
This is a trendy coffee shop that's super popular! They have an assortment of freshly baked goods such as croissants, muffins, brownies, cakes and fresh breakfast sandwiches. I got their Biscuit Sammy which tasted AMAZING. I love any savory sweet meal with Brie. This had apricot mostarda which is like a candied jelly. They had a delicious cruffin. Their blueberry muffin just tasted okay; not bad at all, just standard.. I wish the bread was more moist. They offered decaffeinated espresso for espressos, lattes, etc. which most coffee shops don't offer. The decaffeinated mocha was REALLY good and the chai was good. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by here for breakfast if you're in downtown Luray or headed towards the caverns or the south entrance to Shenandoah park. read more
The staff here were very nice. The coffee was good. The food was good. I enjoyed the Zucchini Muffin and another member in my group loved the Salmon Toast. I do wish they had more variety. The food options are great for people who like to try new foods but as a coffee shop I would expect a couple basics like a simple egg / meat sandwich. They were also sold out of different items each time we went, which wasn't too big of an issue but a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a good experience! FYI - they do have outdoor seating but dogs are not allowed on their patio. They do have plenty of benches outside the coffee shop, though so it didn't matter too much if you have someone to go in and order for you. read more
