I have to say the prices are reasonable and the service by the waitress was great, however the food preparation time was horrible. We did ask to have the home fries and scrapple to be cooked crispy, but it took an hour and a half to receive our food after it was ordered. We almost drank a pot of coffee while we waited and there were several others who came in after we did who ate and left before our food came. Not sure what took so long, but definitely not acceptable.

We got coffee, chocolate chip cookie dough, and coconut almond chocolate chip ice cream flavors -- all three were delicious! The coffee flavor was strong and perfectly sweet. Prices are very reasonable! If you just want a single flavor, I actually recommend getting 1 scoop - the portion size was honestly similar to the 2 scoops in the end so it seems like a better deal to me. If you want different flavors, go for the 2 scoops or more. You can sample different flavors in store. My only negative is that I don't believe the ice cream is made in-house -- looks like it might be sourced from Hershey's according to their ice cream containers. Still tasty though and if I'm ever in the area again, I'd come back! The employee was wearing a mask.

I was the only person in there. I'm surprised that the people of Elkton don't seem to know what a gem they have in this little business. They also serve a real English tea without reservations. Kiosk to order my Egg McMuffin meal, upgrading to OJ instead of coffee. It was prepared quickly and assembled properly. Hot toasted muffin, hot hash browns and a filled cup of juice. Condiments station clean and stocked. There was a spill on the floor but they had a "warning cone" next to it and during my visit, a crew member with a mop cleaned it up. All tables clean with no trash. Outside, clean parking lot. Internet worked great and I was even able to sit as a table with a power outlet to charge up my laptop. It's not Ruth's Chris. It's McDonald's and this was a good visit.

The grocery section is pretty small but had everything I was looking for - sliced bread, fruit, vegetables, and milk. The price is roughly 2 times what you would expect to pay at Food Lion though - $5 for half a gallon of milk, $5 for a loaf of bread, etc. There's also an assortment of souvenirs if you're interested in that kind of thing, including a mini Build a Bear type machine (where you stuff the animal with cotton and pick out an outfit). Although we didn't go fishing at Massanutten, we did hear that you can buy fishing bait, a fishing license, and rent fishing gear here too. Apparently their lakes are stocked 8 times a year so there's always fish!

My husband went with the meat lover's pizza. While he was happy with his pizza, I was absolutely blown away by my pasta. Everything about it was perfect -- from the texture of the pasta to the richness of the sauce. It was incredibly satisfying and easily the best thing I ate all trip. We loved it so much that we came back a second time before heading home and ordered another one to-go for our daughter (yes, it survived the 2-hour drive!). The staff was kind and efficient, and the restaurant itself was clean and well kept. This spot has officially made it to the top of my list for future visits.

Two younger waitresses were standing in the back talking with someone they appeared to know, and after about 15 minutes, another staff member finally asked if we had been helped. When I told her we hadn't, she immediately took our drink and food orders. The atmosphere was pleasant and family-friendly, with a relaxed vibe. Once our waitress took over, she was amazing--attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. It was well worth the visit, and I'm so glad I found the place again. I'll definitely be making a trip back!

Last was hands down our favorite as we have a palate for honey mustard and that was the Honey Mustard Chicken BLT. This was delicious I only got a few bites while my wife took the rest. Really can't complain about the sliders they were so good a meal is definitely 2 and a side as the sliders are of nice size and being sliders its nice to be able to have the ability to have various options for sandwiches to enjoy. Now if I had one complaint it would be the side salads they were generic nothing to write home about, edible not great, next time I think I would go with the fries as they are made to order and I absolutely believe that. As others stated, this place is beloved by locals. 90% of the patrons know each other and the staff. Everyone seemed friendly enough. Inside this is a basic diner. It was my wife, youngest son and I. We were promptly seated. I had the two eggs, toast, and meat. I added the home fries. Breakfast was very good. My wife had a sandwich and my son had M&M pancakes. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It took about 20 minutes to get our meals. My only knock which is minor,I didn't get an itemized receipt. Our meals came to $36.00 which appeared to be slightly more than the menu prices. If in the area, Id probably stop again for a solid, no frills breakfast.
