I've lived in this complex over 10 years and sadly no longer recommend this community. They can't get to work orders in a timely fashion, have rats and mice, haven't power washed the common areas in over 5 years and have a very high rate of employee turnover which is the definition of weak leadership, poor organization, and low accountability at the management level. High employee turnover, in particular, reflects unsupportive management practices, inadequate resources, or a lack of clear direction, all of which directly impact residents' quality of life. I have mice in my apt because they choose not to clear out the brush behind the apt, dishwasher broken for over a month and walking out the front door looks like a ghetto because the concrete is so filthy. When I call the office the answer is always the same, staff shortage. It appears, in addition to not being responsive to the residents, they don't pay enough to the staff making this not a great place to live. The photos also show the trees haven't been pruned over the years. Vines came down from the trees. The limbs are touching the ground. There's a lot of dead branches in the trees. It is a fire hazard and yet they do nothing. read more

this place is TERRIBLE for the cost of rent, property amenities are never open to tenants, the pools have been green all summer, I'm still waiting for a living room blinds that I've been waiting on since April, every time I need to talk to someone in the office, no one is there. I I can't wait for my lease to be over so I can get out of here. read more

It's nice living here if you don't have dogs that require proper bathing. I prefer to groom our dogs myself and choosing a right rental area in a dog friendly community that offers dog wash station on site was one of our must haves. We moved in June 2022 and at first the doggy wash station worked fine. It would not drain properly... I tried to clean it myself but it was too gross. During the winter, plumbing pipes froze/ burst which caused the wash station to not operate until many requests have been submitted. Things like that happen when you don't shut off the water, that's understandable. Pipes finally got fixed sometime during the summer. Currently, November 2023, the bottom is so nasty that I refuse to even attempt on using it. The water under the removable rack clogs up and at this point there is moss growing and disgusting stuff swimming in the still water. Unlike my husband, I am very frustrated and hopefully this can be resolved in a timely manner. read more

None of your amenities are hardly available to your tenants. Gym hours are limited. Pools shouldn't be closed on the same day so residents can access. And even with the cleaning there is always black mold/dirt all in the pools. It's starting to become not worth it to live here. read more

I love living here, I just moved from one unit to another within this apartment complex. Both pools are open, the one used more often requires maintenance more frequently but that is to be expected. The gym has all updated equipment and is now open 24/7! They constantly send out email updates and maintenance request are taken care of very quickly. In the last year that I've lived here the maintenance team has grown from 2 people to a whole team of people so the turn time is quick. There's so much shade for parking and there's always space to park. The nature throughout the area is pretty and it's so quiet. All the trees block out noise from the surrounding streets so it's very nice and peaceful to sit out on the balcony especially if you're on the 3rd floor. The first floor units have high ceilings but be sure to request pest control to spay inside the unit at lease by weekly to avoid any run ins with insects. read more

These apartments are very pretty but, management is a total mess. We had so many issues with so many different things. I would pay my bills online like they require through there resident portal. It would say I'm good to go everything is paid, never failed I'd get e-mails saying I owed more money, with threatening to add charges if I didn't pay. Right as I moved in, the apt was dirty, smelt like cigarettes, there was mold, toilet was dirty etc. E-mailed them about everything, never even heard back. But when you move out, you better leave everything perfect otherwise they will send you an absurd bill, to throw away a pencil sharpener and a blow dryer left in a drawer. They wanna charge me over $400 dollars to replace CARPET in one small room. Oh, and The manager hates her job. She's rude, robotic and super unwelcoming. Never got my deposit back, just a bill saying I owed over a 1,000 when we left the apartment with 0 damage. Just some normal wear and tear from living there. I feel like they are completely trying to rip me off with these irrational charges and it's very upsetting they would treat a previous tenant that way. I even referred someone there and she experienced some of the same issues. read more

2021 REVIEW, NO AMENITIES, NO POOL, the second pool is out of service and not working, and the main pool is almost never clean. Spider webs and trash everywhere, looks like no one even bothers going anymore because it's ALWAYS DIRTY. These are on the top list of horrible apartments IN San Antonio. And don't let it's appearance fool you with its super thin walls.. The management team is very quick to tell you that you're the only one experiencing problems. The property manager with the dark hair, Jessica I believe is also super rude. Talking to you is a huge inconvenience for her, the only positive communications I've always had were with Melissa.. These apartments charge top dollar for the area and give little to no amenities. And also have signs posted everywhere about covid and how nothing is open. Even the pool is only open from 10am to4pm which is the time that literally almost no one is available, dirty as all hell anyways. They do EVERYTHING over the phone. You can't ever talk to Anyone. And DO KEEP IN MIND. Other apartments are offering ALL AMENITIES Open, and they have them staffed with cleaning crews. Walker ranch does little TO nothing for their residents and blames it all on covid. Last time I checked it was 2021, and mostly all business have made the correct accommodations. But walker ranch is stuck in April of 2020 when everything was shut down. They haven't made positive adjustments in the time that I have lived here. But better believe your rent will be full price and that all you'll get in return is nothing. read more

Amazing apartments! Floor plans are very spacious, welcoming with a free spa session of a Swedish and facial upon move in. They have front door trash pick up. The GREAT thing is they supply boxes outside your door so you don't have to see or sell the trash! Balconies are HUGE! FABULOUS place! read more

It is the worst apartment complex in the area. I currently still live here but deeply regret resigning the lease. The only reason I did is because I have a geographical restriction due to my religion. The property is not kept well, there is dog feces all over the grass, there is only one trash and recycle receptacle for the entire complex. It is always overflowing with trash, boxes, sofas, tables, chair, car parts, etc.... The walkways in the 2 -3 years that I have resided here have only been power washed once, they are disgusting. The trash valet company drags the trash bags, and the walk ways are stained with grease, urine, oil,etc.. When we moved in the apartment was horrible, walls were stained, cabinets were broken. Maintenance never took care of anything. I had to hire a handy man to come fix everything. There is no proper lighting, no speed bumps, and random people utilize the amenities constantly, probably because the gates do not work. I have voiced my concerns on numerous occasions and property management offers the following excuses : 1- We only have one maintenance person, therefore we cannot attend to everything 2- the trash issue is not our problem 3- when I voiced my concern about people speeding and there being no speed bumps, I was told " People complain you speed as well " WOW what a come back, what are we in grade school! This complex is HORRIBLE, DO NOT RENT HERE! Apparently the property was just sold, but honestly this place is a sham and it will more than likely take the new management company months to address any issues. It is unfortunate because the complex has potential but seriously property management does not care and sit in the office all day! read more

Any one who is complaining about these apartments obviously haven't lived here before. I just had a bathroom leak and literally within 20 minutes Chris and the carpet team were here working on the issue super fast. I thought I was going to be up till 12 pm waiting for them to finish or better yet someone to get here. But Chris and the carpet guys came to the rescue and fixed a huge problem within minutes. The bathroom was completely flooded and now it looks brand new. This shows Chris and his team are truly here for you at all times, even late on a Saturday night. Thank you!! read more

Absolutely LOVE this apartment complex! The staff is so friendly and definitely goes the extra mile for their residents. Maintenance is super super quick and has never given me any issues. They are a little more pricy than other apartments in the area but very much worth it. Plus the area is very safe and lots of shopping centers close by. I've never had an issue with finding parking and they do a great job of always keeping the apartments clean and making sure there aren't any damages! I have lived here for a year and a half and really enjoy it. The grounds are kept clean, they are continuously making upgrades to the property which is a good thing in my eyes. (new roofs, upgrading the pools). It's quiet, and the apartment is spacious. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. It's a nice neighborhood and they want good tenets that will respect the property and the neighborhood. I've never felt unsafe living here as a single woman. The office staff and maintenance guys are so friendly, they know me by my first and last name, my apartment and they know my dog and play with her when they see her. It's almost like a little family. Also maintenance is super quick to respond. I'm so glad I found this place when I moved here from Ohio. It's convenient to every thing I need. I don't plan on leaving any time soon. read more

I've never been this excited to move in a new home. It's difficult to look for a place that we really love, need and want. And this place seems to be THE one! Haven't moved in yet but did a tour with Ms. Judy(sweetest lady ever), one of their leasing consultants in the office and love everything about it. The apartments looks very nice, clean and quiet. It is a hidden gem! Ms. Judy found us the perfect unit, me and my husband fell in love and so my husband says "shut up and take my money" lol! So looking forward to move in pretty soon and start our new adventure in our soon to call HOME. Gonna update my review in a couple months when we move in and see how our experience go. But for now, I just can't wait to have a more spacious apartment esp having a 1 year old baby who loves to explore and walk. read more

Awesome apartment complex. Parking can be a hassle during late evenings. Most likely to find parking by front office. Staff is always friendly and willingly to assist with any issues. Maintenance guys are very prompt, they even showed up on Christmas Day to fix the A/C! read more

I have lived here for the last year and a half and for being such a large complex they do a great job. The staff is very helpful and friendly and they recently updated both pools and the business center. The complex overall is little under lit and can be a little concerning when walking around at night. Also the main gate seems to be broken pretty frequently. read more

We've lived here for almost a year and plan on renewing our lease! Staff is very friendly, It's a great location. Maintenance always takes care of any service requests in a timely manner. It's awesome that there are 2 pools for the community. Our building and surrounding buildings that we live near are very quiet, I've only made one noise complaint the entire year that we've lived here, and it was taken care of immediately. Easy access to highway 281, 1604 or 410. About 10 minutes away from McAllister Park which is awesome! The only "complaint" that I could think of is that the fitness center needs a little bit of updating, but I love how spacious it is! I still get great workouts! We have lived in 2 other apartment complexes (one being in stone oak) and Walker Ranch is still our favorite :) read more

I have lived at Walker Ranch for over 8 years and rarely have any maintenance issues. Maintenance does an excellent job of taking care of the property and apartments.Over the last 2 weeks I have had to call for maintenance in my apartment 4 times for my a/c and hot water. Two of these times were after hours and on a Sunday. I was very concerned about the a/c problem because I have senior and special needs animals. Within 30-45 minutes of each reported issue someone from the maintenance team showed up and promptly worked to fix the problem. They also returned the following day to check and ensure everything was still working okay. The maintenance team and staff at Walker Ranch is truly exceptional and Walker Ranch continues to be a wonderful place to live. read more

Poor community, day one and the toilets had mold, the showers had mold, door handles were bent, smelled like Tabaco, kitchen cabinets were nasty and dirty. I advised management of my findings and they just replaced the tub drainage living the mold, the toilets were still with mold replacing only the seat. I do not recommend this community, I will not be moving in and I will take the few boxes I got in out of the apartment as it is not what I was promised to get or what I would call Home. I have pictures but unfortunately I don't have the option to upload them for people to see this, I had never ran into this sore of issue and I am a Service member I cant imagine what they do with civilians. I asked the maintenance guy who the job in the apartment I was supposed to move in if he was thinking about doing any other repairs as the manager assistant had advised me that he was not done and was waiting for some equipment he order and he said he was done that he had already clean what he could and that Walkers Ranch do not replace anything. read more
