They assess my gait and recommend a shoe for that style. Saucony is the brand I selected at roughly 2x the cost of Amazon but a WORLD of difference in performance. We browsed about and found some lovely things - FDC bought a gorgeous Italian Pottery vase and I got some very cool drinking glasses that just happen to match some shot glasses that I gave Lion a couple years ago. Score! On subsequent trips I have found an awesome set of mid-century bamboo plates for picnics (LOVE THESE!) and other fun stuff too. The staff are completely lovely people, the store is clean, well lit and well organized. Proceeds benefit survivors of domestic violence - they have a shelter for victims and also fund programs.
