The wait time is still longer than expected, but nowhere near the excessive two hours I had to wait during the first appt. Giving them 5 Stars b/c I didnt have to wait long & wasn't charged 'an arm & a leg' trying to help a feral kitten survive. The new female Vet was kind & knowledgeable. River City Vets are my 'go to'. Easy access, off-street parking.

I understand you have this covid going on and us parents can not be in there during treatment but on that note you should put some effort in contacting us we should not have to make several phone calls to find out what is going on while being told several times that someone will get back to us which never happened I mean by law they are not supposed give any treatment with giving a break down of the cost of it. We never got a break down the just did the treatment so they say and handed us a bill!!! Like I said all about the money!!!! We were supposed to be given hand written instructions for his treatment which was now told it will be emailed to us after we paid the bill we will see if that happens!!! Because all day long we were givin the run around about everything!!! I mean I understand being busy but if you are to busy to give the proper care then I would have rather been told they could not fit him in then not get the proper care for him. But then again how dare you turn down a dollar it's better to over book then consider the well being of of fur babies!! Absolutely unexceptionable care from this place!!!

He's a very skilled, trustworthy veterinarian... from diagnosis to surgery with great attention to detail. He's very professional and explains things really well... also, a very likable person with a great sense of humor. He has a wonderful staff and we're impressed by how highly they regard him. Our poodle had 2 surgeries -- one to remove benign masses on an eyelid and another to repair a torn ligament in her knee. Very good results, very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

My Coco needed Dr. Jeff in a bad way, having trouble eating, etc. The staff is so loving and compassionate first of all. It's like they can feel your pain! Dr. Jeff did an exam on Coco and found a mass in his mouth that Coco wouldn't let him really look at, so he had to be sedated for further evaluation. Dr. Jeff and his assistant were so loving and compassionate with Coco, it is just amazing the way Dr. Jeff has room for so much love for our animals and only wants whats very best for them! Coco had to stay the night. I had to ask about the cost and it was way out of my ability to pay and I started to cry and told her I guess I'd have to put Coco (who is 15 and had a great life with me) to sleep. It was just so heart wrenching and unfair to Coco but because people don't want to pay their bills the clinic can't let you pay something up front and make monthly payments. I guess they have been burned pretty badly! I was so distraught! I knew this would be so hard to live with. The receptionist said, Wait a minute, there is a program called Care Credit and she'd see if I qualified. It only took a minute and I qualified for all and even more than it would require to get Coco taken care of! What a blessing from God! Today, Dr. Jeff did surgery on Coco, removed a mass and a tooth and Coco did just fine. I'm waiting for the phone call to go pick up my precious Coco now. I just wanted to let people know in this area, Interlachen Vet Clinic and Dr. Jeff is the place to go and if you need it these Care Credit people are a God send. He is well known in the area of Altoona, Florida. Dr. Burba is extremely knowledgeable, caring, respectful, friendly, and so much more that I could never how I feel into words.. I also requested copies of all my invoices from 2019 - 2023 to review after charge discrepancies. Two months later I have received only invoices for one animal. Needless to say this is unacceptable. Transparency in Billing is a must especially when dealing with multiple rescues. Don't expect it from the office staff. Dr Grossman was an exceptional, compassionate Vet. I use the past tense after another rushed wellness check failed to find a issue that resulted in another death of a beloved friend. That was strike "Four". All the pictures you see are of the Deceased. In order of appearance the cause of death: Unknown, died in Xray. Spinal Injury misdiagnosed after original accident. Cancer tumor missed during wellness exam (caught just weeks later by another Vet). And last is my longtime best friend, another mass missed at his wellness check but caught two weeks later during grooming by me. Cause of Death? Put to Sleep after a long battle with "I don't know", no conclusive pathology after biopsy. Summing it up: Veterinarian over booked missing problems, front-end staff unprofessional, new vet technicians seriously unacceptable, and surgery done in a non sterile open area with kennel cages of sick or recovering animals and people walking thru feet away in non sterile clothing.
