First off, take the reviews on their website with a grain of salt. If you answer with less than a 4 or 5 star, you're response is sent to customer service and it's not posted hence all 4 and 5 stars on the website which is why I'm writing here and other car websites. This is a follow-up to our previous service on 11/30/18. We brought our 2016 Traverse, which has just over 60,000 miles, to Wallace Chevrolet as the A/C stopped working. I described the series of events that took place, the noises that were made and timing of when it eventually stopped working. The following day I was called and told the evaporator was leaking and it will cost $1,200 to repair. I authorized the repair and we picked up the car later in the week as we were out of town. Within days after picking up the vehicle the A/C stopped working. The EXACT same series of events that were previously described happened prior to the A/C failing for the second time. We brought the vehicle back the next business day and after diagnosis, they were now claiming the A/C line was crimped and leaking and it was going to cost another $1,700 to repair but since I just had the car in for the A/C they would reduce it to $1,300. This was obviously unacceptable as clearly the evaporator was never the issue as the same exact thing happened when the A/C went out the 2nd time. To Wallace's credit, they contacted GM customer care for assistance. I was told that GM would cover the repair and I would only be responsible for the deductible (which was nearly $700??). I understand and accept that premature failure on parts can occasionally happen. What I find extremely unlikely is the premature failure of two parts for the same component failing within days of each other. I'm a firm believer, from a technical standpoint, that the dealership is the best place to take a vehicle for service as who would know more about the product than the manufacturer and their dealerships? This is why I've always had my car serviced and maintained at Wallace and followed the Manufacturer's required servicing intervals (15,000, 30,000, 45,000, etc.). When I bring my car in to be repaired the only thing I have is trust and confidence that the work that's being performed is correct. At this point I have neither and for that reason I can no longer do business with Wallace Chevrolet or for that matter any of the Wallace affiliates. read more

They are a bunch of crooks. I paid for a paint protection (buffer package). They slipped it in when I bought my truck. I've had the truck for 11 months now and have yet to get it waxed. The first time they were moving. This time they lied and said it was waxed. It still had dried up streams of water on it from not being properly dried. It had smudges all over it. It had a coat of dirt on it and the back had mud on it like it was driven in a puddle of water. The service rep was a buffoon who actually expected to believe he wasn't familiar with the service I should have gotten. The pressure in my tires was 40-39-39-39. That's not the 35 psi which is supposed to be. I wonder if they even changed my oil. This is the worst customer service I have ever gotten from a dealership. They have lost my business and would NEVER recommend them. I have been a loyal Chevrolet customer for 10 years and have never experienced such deceitful customer service. I leased a vehicle from here about two years ago. Recently, salesperson Joshua Heflin kept calling us saying we should come in even though we still had one year left on our lease because they "needed the car back." He promised they would put her into the same model, just a newer 2026, for the same price or even less since we had only driven about 5,000 miles in two years. We trusted what we were told and agreed to get the new vehicle. Later, when we received the paperwork in the mail, we found out the payment is $511 per month -- higher than before and not what was promised. When we contacted the dealership, the only thing we were told was, "Your wife signed the papers." The sales manager refused to help, and we were told the general manager was "too busy." We feel completely misled. We were called in with promises that were not honored, and once the deal was done, no one wanted to take responsibility. Be very careful and make sure everything they promise is in writing before signing anything. read more

My service man disappeared when I dropped my car off and disappeared when I came to pick up my car. I had to find someone else to get the my child's car seat out of the rental when he promised to leave it unlocked. I asked him to go for a ride with me so I can show him the problem with the steering and he didn't have time he said just driving around and come back if the problem still exists ... Well the problem was there when I took it in and then problem is still there. I still have to take it back because the issue wasn't taking care of. My car came back full of these little ant looking spiders .....a shredded back seat belt..... I also have never dropped a car off due to a recall and Servicing and got the car back all wet & muddy. To say the least I'm not looking forward to going in next week and dropping it off again to feel ignored it seems like a waste of my time. And if this is a service that I'm going to get I will absolutely never purchase another Chevy from Wallace Chevrolet. read more

I would give Wallace Chevrolet Service a ZERO star if i could. They are absolutely terrible! Worst customer service ever. The worst employee is one of their service advisors is "MARSHALL CHAFFEE". Avoid him at all costs! He's a notorious scammer and crook! He will have your vehicle intentionally damaged while in the shop and then when you discover the savatage, deny it and said it will cost you over $2000 to fix it. So, we are taking Wallace Chevrolet to court and also turning them into the BBB and Florida Consumer Fraud division. What ever you do, don't take your car there! I would avoid signing any contract with Wallace. The Purchase/Lease agreement limits legal remediation, requiring disputes to be taken to American Arbitration. American Arbitration found that Wallace Auto did not pay Arbitration membership dues, so they were powerless to settle disputes. This appears to be a common practice for Wallace auto dealers. With no means supported by Wallace to settle disputes, they appear to be in breach of contract. My certified paralegal is researching whether this constitutes fraud. Moreover, if this practice is common, there may be reason to consider class action remedial measures. The General Manager attempted to appease me with a less than mediocre offer. The attitude of "Go away, little boy, I have important things to deal with," may be the result of a bad day, or maybe this is normal I hope that no one else has to deal with these business practices. read more

Adam Ross from Wallace Hyundai facilitated the deal. I had gone to Hyundai next door to test drive their Genesis Coupe as one of the cars on my list of possible next toy. Adam had recognized me from a few months prior when my wife had purchased a car through him. He took me for the test drive in the Genesis. While testing the handling, he asked which other cars I looked at, I told him that the Camaro was a favorite. Since both dealerships are under the Wallace umbrella, he proceeded to have the car of my liking brought out side by side with the one he represented. I did my comparisons, but was still on the fence. In the rain, he took my son and I on multiple test drive of both cars. Both cars handled like they owned the road. I chose the Camaro 2LT because I have lusted after this car since puberty. The whole staff at Wallace has been very accommodating. read more

I own a 2009 Impala. I heard an awful knocking coming from underneath my dashboard. My warranty had just expired. Took my car to the shop. Bad news it was my A/C-Heat Modulator, very costly labor wise, and very difficult to work on, since it was located under the Driver's side of the dashboard. I was in at 8 AM, given a loaner, a 2014 Silverado (Very nice), I was told the repairs would cost me aprox. $499, when I was called up @ Noon & told that my car was ready for P/U I didn't expect what Doug West showed me next, he was able to cut about $121 off the final bill and had my car cleaned up beautifully, but best of all no more knocking sounds from underneath my dashboard, and no cracks or other damages to my dashboard either. SCAM ALERT! The worst experience of my life! Went to Wallace Chevrolet and got totally scammed! The service writer (Marshall Chaffee) was a real A-hole! He was laying it on thick and heavy with his BS. Trust me folks, you want to avoid this dealership at all costs! Our 2019 Chevy Traverse just needed an oil change. After we got the oil change, and driving down the engine started ticking. (never before). Brought it back and Marshall said our engine was damaged and not covered under warranty. I had an intermittent problem with sudden acceleration. One shop thought they fixed it; the second shop could not get the problem to occur so couldn't even try to fix it. Both of them gave me my car back at the end of the day but Doug, at Wallace kept my car until it did act up. He and the technician kept trying it until they were able to narrow down the possible problem(s) including calling G.M. for assistance. Doug called me regularly with updates until the problem was fixed. read more

Okay, so we all know an appointment to have a car serviced can be a real pain! This time from beginning to end it went great! Car seat was protected/covered in plastic and they put paper on the floor as well. Allan was my service adviser and got me in and taken care of in the expected amount of time. My rating is for Don in the Service Dept. He is great. I've been into Wallace several times this year with my 2009 Traverse. He always returns my calls in a timely manner, sets me up in a loaner car and makes sure that everything that needs fixed is taken care of. Not sure I'll ever buy another Chevrolet again but that's a different topic. read more

Darrick in the service department was a ROCK STAR. He and his service department were the absolute best. I took my year old Tahoe (not bought from them) ..three times to fix a computer light that kept coming on. They stayed on it until they found the source of the problem....amazing service. Wallace Chevrolet has to be about the worst dealership in Florida. The service department is terrible and attitude even worse. The worst service advisor in the dealership is Marshall Chaffee!
