I hope this DOES NOT happen to anyone else. On June 6, 2021, while searching for a new Chevy Silverado 2500HD, I found one "In-transit" at Wallace Chevrolet in Stuart, Florida. I began to communicate with salesman Pat Malloy (nice guy) via phone at which time Malloy said the truck should be arriving at the dealer by June 16th. I began the process of purchasing the truck (proving a down payment, credit application, etc.) and the dealer agreed with me on a price for the new truck of $58,260 and agreed on a trade value for my truck (2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Custom V8) of $39,000. Although the truck never arrived on June 16th, salesman Malloy continued to communicate with me until finally on June 30th,he contacted me that the truck had arrived. On the same day, I took the 3-hour drive from Miami, Florida to Stuart, Florida, to finally finalize the purchase. Upon my arrival at the dealer, I met with "William" who assisted me with the financing. While sitting with William, the numbers were not adding up, so I asked William what the selling price and trade value for my truck was. William stated selling price $63,260 ($5,000 over agreed price) and trade for my truck $38,000 ($1,000 less than what we had agreed). Because of the discrepancies, William spoke to Malloy and Malloy brought a manager by the name of "Wayne" to discuss the discrepancies. In short, manager Wayne stated he would sell the new truck for $58,260, but my truck's value would not be what we agreed upon ($39,000) because the market had change and it was now worth $35,000 ($4,000 less than we had agreed). Nevertheless, manager Wayne refused to honor the original agreement and I was not able to purchase the truck. I drove 6-hours roundtrip never to imagine I would be treated this way by manager Wayne. I really hope this does NOT happen to anyone else, and I hope the owner(s) of Wallace Chevrolet put themselves in my shoes as a customer who, in good faith, drove a long way for nothing. Fastest purchase (lease) ever! Viola was such a big help and I've never been in and out of a dealership in under 3 hours before, but she made my car shopping experience and lease a total delight. From the moment I walked in and took a test drive to the time I actually drove off in my new car, only 2-1/4 hours had passed. SUPER! Tommy was also a great help in assisting with OnStar and also in explaining the vehicle to me. Mark Adams, the General Mgr. was also a pleasure to work with. I had noticed a small scratch on the front passenger door and Mark told me to bring the car in the next day and he'd have me out in about 20 minutes. A few words come to mind with this dealer. Unethical, unprofessional, misleading, lying, greedy... a few more not for general reading. I wanted to purchase the newly restyled 22 Trail Boss, they had one coming in. I asked if it was being sold at MSRP or had a dealer markup. I will never pay Over MSRP. I was told it was being sold at MSRP and they were paying over KBB for trades. The dealer was about 1.5 hours from me. The day the truck came in they let me know and I said I would be up there the next morning by 9AM. At 6 AM the day I was going to head up there the salesman emails me that he is very sorry but the GM has mandated it sell for a $10,000 dealer add on. Yeah, right. Not happening. Then to do me a favor they offered to drop it to only ripping me off for $5K. As it happens Auto Nation in Orlando got one come in the same day and called me, I drove to Orlando (3.5 hours) that same day, made the deal, they honored the price of my trade they had made from pictures and they sold the new one to me at MSRP Two hours later I was on my way home. If I could give Wallace Chevrolet less than one star I would. I brought my 2011 Chevy Equinox LT in for a service recall I had to find out about second-hand (Chevy NEVER sent me the recall notice). I brought in a drive-able vehicle and I'm now leaving with a junk heap that won't start. The engine was built with bad piston rings that caused excessive wear on the engine and its parts. Chevy apparently new this WHILE THEY WERE DOING IT. One part was a bolt that backed out because the engine got so hot the adhesive that held it in place MELTED OFF and the bolt backed out, causing a lethal problem with the engine. Chevy refused to honor it's warranty and moreover said the only fix was for ME to buy a new engine and let THEM install it at MY cost of over $3200! The best part is they are making me pay to transport it. They won't even tow it! I drove in with a working vehicle and a rumor about a recall notice I was never provided and Wallace Chevrolet has me going home with a situation that will make me a proud Toyota owner for the rest of my life. My whole family drives Chevy (my father is the one that told me about the recall on HIS Equinox. I'm praying for him now...). Looks like The Heatbeat of America isn't what is used to be. Had been into Wallace Chevy and had a decent experience with the Salesperson I worked with while there. Was told of my trade value for two vehicles I was trading in, and the numbers were $2500 less than what I had received elsewhere. This is not the Salesperson's fault or issue...the numbers, including what they were willing to discount their vehicle simply didn't work. A few days later, I received a missed call from a number and returned the call and spoke with "Lance" at Wallace Chevy. He asked if I were still in the market. I advised that I was in the market, but headed to Miami to see a particular vehicle of interest (and though not mentioned, the trade value estimates were significantly higher than what Wallace had offered). He then without knowledge of what my vehicle of interest was or any details pertaining to my initial visit, proceeded to say "why would you go all the way to Miami when we have vehicles right here...that makes absolutely no sense." I said thank you and hung up. I am not obligated to provide an answer of "what makes sense" to a person I don't know, or made to feel bad or guilty about a large purchase I am excited to make based on the opinions of Lance, nor obliged to do what should make sense to this idiot. Wallace Chevy had the opportunity to earn my business and failed to produce the numbers needed to consummate a deal. Quite honestly, Lance's ability to share his feeble minded opinion that clearly only work to his benefit are offensive and I will not so much as consider Wallace Chevy in the future. read more

The manager made a deal with me online and on phone, said to get there tonight and pick up the used SUV. I went there signed papers, gave all info, and after an hour they come back with a different offer, more money!! We had an agreement and this is so unacceptable, to call me there, waste my time, and try to get more money. I will NEVER recommend WALLACE again! I found a listing on carfax today (5/19) and i wanted to come to see car. I asked for pics and got an internet specialist tell me that a salesperson took one pic and they attached to email. This was 2:56pm on 5/19. I drove to dealership which is about 25 miles from home. I got there around 4:15pm. Salesman started looking for car and came back and told me it was sold. I figured i was too late as it sold within the last hour or so. The biggest surprise was when i found out car sold on 5/18. Were they trying the ole bait and switch? Dont know but beware. Just picked up my car from getting warranty work done which is supposed to be the best kind because you don't have to pay for it right? Well after leaving a specific list of issues they did not address everything and this is the second time that it's happened. Simple things like zip tying wires underneath the dashboard because they fell down they did not fix. If I didn't have a warranty I would never bring my car here. When I have had my 2013 Cadillac SRX serviced they have been prompt and polite. My issue is with the FIDELITY WARRANTY SEVICES service contract they sold me after the factory warranty expired. As I later learned from a friend that owners a Cadillac dealership in New York, they sell these 3rd party plans because they make more money on them than the GM extended warranty plan. FIDELITY IS HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.... At the recommendation of the Cadillac Finance Manager who sells them I bought the "Gold Plus" plan (which is the so-called most comprehensive plan except for the "Platinum" plan". I spent $2537.00 for the warranty and on 2 claims I have had they only covered 50% of the repairs which was another $1500 out of pocket. The most recent is on a differential pump, which in the Fidelity brochure is not excluded from the plan. Although, they won't cover it. If they try to sell you the Fidelity Warranty refuse it..... your wallet will thank you for it. read more

My wife and I decided to get a simple oil change for our 2015 GMC Acadia before a big road trip at Wallace Chevrolet. A simple oil change comes with a tire rotation and fluids check. All happened normal but when we arrived home my truck began leaking radiator fluid and a bit of oil on clean garage floor. There has never been a leak with this truck, and to have a truck return with a leak after just a simple oil change is pretty ridiculous. After some calls, they had it fixed the next Monday, but with much inconvenience as it's a work day. Great service team up front, but terrible truck service. No attention to details... read more

Went to buy a car here and the salesman Jose was awesome. Very personable and informative. He gave me the space I needed. The car sales manager however was pushy, aggressive and very smug. Your typical old school salesman that tried keeping me there and talk me into buying something I was still not 100% sold on. Luckily I am strong willed and won't tolerate his ways. I finally left and dreaded going back to deal with him. Went to Johnson Honda and the sales staff and the mangers were like Jose and gave us all the space we needed and we bought a car that very same day. read more

I have bought cars over the years, but this has been the absolute worst customer service experience, from the Rob, the guy that works in the Service Counter, to the 4 twelve years olds that in the red shirts that sit in the middle of the show room. The allowed me to drive off the lot with a defect on the car, stating to return in the AM to get it fixed, and I just wanted to return it. Not only was there a light on the dash board buy issues with this brand new car not wanting to Accelerate when i pushed on the gas. Told me i had to call a number to get a claim started in order to return it. I saw so many eye roles from the group of twelve year olds sitting in the middle of the show room. Asked to talk to the general manager and was sat down with one of the twelve years olds, and given an either or option, couldn't get it in writing. read more

Sales manager was rude and abrasive AND high pressure! He pressured (tried to) my son into making a decision NOW and when he told him he wasn't going to sign anything at the moment, he threw (a tantrum) papers around on desk and delayed in returning keys after 5 requests to do so. (Another tactic at intimidation.) Had to demand keys be returned. I told my son this is an ongoing problem and is why I take my business elsewhere. I have tried several times over the years to seek a competitive price and keep my business local but, have gone elsewhere with much better results. I don't go back for two reasons; pricing and rudeness! Pass this experience along to everyone you know and then perhaps the upper management will get a handle on this issue and correct his behavior! I encouraged my son to relate his experience with the upper management as they need to know. If they continue to allow this behavior then they condone it as well."Wallace Chevrolet" = lousy sales experience and want as much money as they can get, out of your pocket into theirs! Reminds me of the past problem with Toyota of Stuart....at least they cleaned out their house! Wallace needs to do the same. Now...on an other topic, Don in the service dept has been the best I have ever come across. For years I enjoyed his professionalism until I went away because of my similar experience with the sales mgrs. Now a Ford Superduty owner because of these sales issues.By the way "Wallace"....you have just educated another generation to avoid your dealership. Update.....my son discussed the problem he had and the GM defended the actions of his sales mgr until he was thoroughly informed of all the issues. He then listened to the complaint. I purchased my second vehicle from Wallace 2 years ago. I was promised a second key, and floor matts, I received neither, no big deal purchased both myself. Fast forward 2 years. Had a flat tire, went to put spare on, only to discover that the tool kit required to lower my spare tire from under the truck bed is not there, this is a specialty part specific to this vehicle. I can't even put the spare on to take the truck to a tire service center. Fortunately for me the flat happened in my driveway which afforded me some time to work this out with Wallace. I placed a call to a sales manager on October 19th who told me that he would have to run it by his general manager because I had owned the vehicle for 2 years and anything could have happened. First of all, in the 2 years since I bought the vehicle I found no need to go looking for the tire changing kit since I had not had a flat tire, that's why it took me so long to discover it. I feel like I should be able to safely assume that any necessary specialty parts, particularly in regards to spare tires, would have been inspected and replaced as necessary pyrite to selling vehicle. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, I paid over $22000, for this vehicle, this part, at their cost is $55. I don't know how they can advertise the importance of customer satisfaction to the public when they are not willing to budge on getting that part to me at no additional cost to me, under these circumstances. This is a specialty part, I can't even get it from an auto parts store. I don't know what the sales manager was trying to say when he said, anything could have happened. What does he think, I pawned the tire changing tool kit! I initiated my request on October 19th, the sales manager had not gotten back to me a week later, so I called again on the 26th, and was told they would get a message to that same sales manager, Angel. Still had not heard from them as of the 1st, so called once again. Nearly 2 weeks with truck sitting in drive with a flat because no one was responding. Once I finally spoke with someone, I was told that the best they could do was offer me the tool kit, that should have come with the vehicle to begin with, at their cost of $55. I am completely unsatisfied with this response. I feel 100% unappreciated and undervalued as a current and potential future customer. Not making certain that the part was there to begin with was a failure on their part, and taking 2 weeks to respond to my inquiries, despite more than one phone call, is truly disappointing. Not the service I had expected from a well established and seemingly respected business. I may need to consider an alternate dealership for my next vehicle purchase. read more

I got a great deal on a 13 Chevy Cruze LTZ. I drove all the way from Broward Co to get this deal. They also gave me a good price on my trade in. I traded in a 11' Mustang with 33000 miles on it. They gave me what was considered "Good" on the Kelly Blue Book value. Novis, Ricardo and Doug were very nice and It was the most pleasant car buying experience that I can remember. RUDE STAFF. I went in with a friend to purchase a 2016 Chevy Tahoe. He had a pre-approval with them over the phone, so we drove 2.5 hours expecting to pick it up. We were told to speak with Angel when we arrived. When we got there, the lady who greeted us at the door wouldn't let us see Angel until we answered a TON of her questions. It was a bit overwhelming. Then she said "Oh, well I'm not giving you to Angel because he's not even a salesman". This made us uncomfortable because we were only doing what we were told so it made it seem they were doing something shady behind Angel's back. We were handed over to saleswoman Rebecca & she took us to the vehicle. While test driving, everything looked great until we opened the sun roof & the seal fell in. When we returned to the office, we explained that since we're paying their sticker price, we'd like for them to fix the seal. Rebecca's literal answer was "My manager will not fix the seal because we can't lose another dollar on this vehicle, so I suggest you just don't ever open the sunroof". (Well, that makes alot of sense). ‍ We were confused because there was no haggling over sticker price. We were paying sticker because we really wanted the vehicle. We were in their office 5 minutes & walked out after driving 2.5 hours. Not even an offer to have their team look at it quick to price the repair of the seal. It very well could've been a simple fix, but we left because they weren't willing to assist in ANY way. No one even followed up to ask why the deal fell through or to possibly have us consider a different vehicle. Wallace Chevrolet lost our business because of giving a rude answer to an easy & affordable solution. Very disappointed in the entire experience. read more

I have had three different suburbans in the Stuart area over 10 years. All out of warranty and all serviced at Wallace chevrolet. While the work was done fairly quickly and always worked afterward, i did suspect over the years that I was being over charged and for unnecessary work. That suspicion was confirmed when last month I brought my car in for AC not working. I was told it would cost me $1800 to replace the compressor which was shot. The car has 40K miles and is a 2016 so i didn't think the compressor should go. I took it to a local shop and he fixed the problem for $120. It needed freon. I reached out to management to explain this to them and no reply. So buyer beware. Be educated and trust your gut. Id say if you're out of warranty go somewhere else. read more

This review should have been posted about 6 months ago, but it's okay. I went there with a 2017 Kia Forte. I wanted a Chevy Spark instead. They warned me I was way upside down on the Forte. I knew that before I ever went there. They told me the difference was $9000. Okay, no worries I gave them the money as it was less than I had figured. I thought then the payment for the Spark would be in the upper $300's. Nope $255 a month. I was very happy with the deal. It's not their fault I wanted a Spark and owed so much on my Forte. I thought I got away cheap. I would go back to buy a new car there. The only thing that is not what I expected was to get an appointment for service. You kinda have to jump through hoops. But when I got there, it was quick and free. So overall I was happy with that too. read more

purchased a Corvette form your dealership, with the purchase I received exclusive 2 year Maintenance plan with multi point inspection too. I took my car in for first oil change , when I got home I noticed 1 of my tires was damaged, I was surprised that the mechanic did not mention this to me. As if they did the inspection that was included why did they not notice this? I called to get it replaced, I was put on hold and was transferred many times to different departments with no assistance. I ended up taking it to a tire company for the purchase, a loss of $2,500 to you. I scheduled my next oil change for Aug. 10 at 8:30AM , When I checked in the receptionist asked my name and what car I brought in. She then told me it will be 2.5 hours , which I thought that is a long time to do a scheduled oil change?? I decided to stay as I do not live close by. After 3 hours I went to the receptionist to ask about my car , at this time she asks again my name ? I gave my name to her 3 hours ago, not good customer service.... She then tells me that they do NOT have the oil needed for my car. How long would she have let me sit there before telling me?? I lost 4 hours of work , I have a terminally ill wife at home, this was beyond unacceptable and unprofessional from a company of your reputation. Your service department changed the digital display for oil life to 100%, without ever changing the oil or filter? How does this happen? No one could give me an explanation to why they would allow a customer to sit for 3 hours and not be able to do a simple oil change. I do not feel I have confidence in your service department after the 2 incidents that i have endured. I had a very pleasant buying experience, I had even recommended friends to your dealership, At this time I am so disappointed and frustrated with this situation. It's no secret that a dealership is usually a little more expensive than other options for getting your car repaired. I like the peace of mind that the person that worked on my car works on "Chevrolet" cars only and is certified to do so. I like the guarantee when I leave knowing if any problems just bring it back. I'm always treated very well, and fairly. I first went to Wallace for a key fob. I went to a dealer in North Palm Beach they wanted $175 for the fob and to program it. Wallace charged my $95 for the whole deal. read more

I have had my Corvette serviced since I bought it new in 2004 and now my new 2017 Camaro. I needed to have the convertible top adjusted on the Camaro and they took care of it. In the many times I have used Wallace (previously Suburban) Chevrolet for service they have always fixed the issue the first time and not caused any additional issues (screw ups) I have complete trust in them. If you're thinking of buying a vehicle online right now during these uncertain times, you may want to reconsider before you jump the gun. I purchased a very nice vehicle from Wallace Chevrolet that I saw online, but there turned out to be a major problem with the car. The staff was very nice at first but management treated me very differently afterwards.The car stopped working about one week after I got it. I talked to management,even as far as the General Manger Mark Adams , and like I mentioned, they were friendly at first, but then suddenly, no one, included the general manager, wanted to take responsibility and lacked empathy. I tried complaining to corporate about the issue and Mr. Adams, but he suggested that since they know him very well they had his back. He came off as arrogant, unsympathetic , and unprofessional. I then had to take the vehicle to get repaired by another dealership immediately because I needed my car to get work. Now during challenging times, the thousands of dollars in debt that I now have for additional repairs brings me major worry. I deeply regret buying a car online from Wallace Chevrolet. It's not a good feeling when your trust is broken by a car dealership, and you now have to worry about unexpected money problems. I would have hoped that they would have offered to fix the problem ,or pay for the repairs, especially since I've only had the car for a week when the problem occurred , and it had dealership warranty with them. With that being said, I would think twice before buying online with them. read more

Went to do a test drive and was told by John, salesman, that owner Doug will not let anyone take a test drive of any corvette on their lot without a credit check and working numbers on a car. I am a doctor and appalled that I would be checked to see if I can afford a car before I take it for a test drive. Obviously I have insurance in the event of an accident. I refuse to work numbers on a car before I drive it to see if it is a car that fits me, and anyone who nearly buys a car without driving it is crazy. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE THAT I HAVE RECEIVED FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I called the service department and scheduled an appointment for them to do a full checkup on a used 2002 chevrolet camaro z28 in automatic with 100,000 miles that I was buying from a private owner. I told them that would specifically like them to check out the engine and transmission to make sure they didnt have any major issues or flaws and that if there checkup passed then I will purchase the vehicle from the private owner. The assured me that they would do a full checkup on the engine and transmission and let me know if there were any issues worth any concern. I came in with the owner on Jan 2, 2015 and paid $127.95 for this checkup. The mechanic assured me that the engine and transmission were working just fine and that the transmission shifts really good for the age and the mileage of the vehicle AND I HAVE THIS IN WRITING ON THE SERVICE RECEIPT THAT I HAVE RECEIVED UPON PAYING!!! So after the checkup I purchased the vehicle of the owner and started my drive back home which is an hour and a half away and I notice the transmission is slipping but I didnt think much of it since the mechanic assured me that the transmission was fine. I am not mechanically inclined at all and that is why I specifically took it to the dealer to check it since it is a Chevy Dealership and the car is a Chevy! I then come to realize that the mechanic NEVER EVEN DROVE THE VEHICLE!!! It is now 6 months later and I have only put 4000 miles on the car since I bought it and the problem still persists and has been getting worse and worse everyday so I took it to 2 different transmission shops and they both assured me that the transmission is slipping and would need to be rebuilt. I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE FAULTY REVIEW OF THIS VEHICLE CHECKUP THAT WALLACE CHEVROLET HAS GIVEN ME!!! I would have never purchased the car if there was a transmission problem and I trusted the dealership on their checkup and review of the vehicle and I got screwed. I am really upset over this and would NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHADY DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE!!! read more

I purchased a new Tahoe from Wallace Chevrolet in July of 2017. I was towing a boat back to VA from the Keys when my Suburban broke down. I was already in the market for a Tahoe an negotiated the purchase price from the side of the road while waiting on a tow. The entire process took less than 3 hours and I was back on the road. Best buying experience I ever had. I had nothing but good things to say about this dealership until this month. I have placed over 30 calls and left a couple dozen messages with the sales department and the finance department in an effort to cancel an extended warranty. Last week I finally got a real person in financing who assured me he would mail the appropriate paperwork by the end of business. Over a week later no paperwork and more calls not returned. Today I got the run around from 3 different sales people who dumped me into financings voicemail where again my messages have gone unanswered. This is tying up approximately $2,000. I had my car into this dealer because the engine light came on. They did the scan and found small vapor leak. They did not test further, just tightened the gas cap, turned the light off and said if it comes on again I would need a new gas cap. The charge for this was $139.76. Well, the light came on again so I purchased a new gas cap and had the light turned off again. So a week later the light came back on. Took it to another dealer and they did a smoke test, which should have been done the first time, not just assuming it needs a new gas cap. This determined I had a stuck open purge valve. It was replaced and now the original problem is fixed. This was all covered under warranty. The tech said had Wallace done their job this would have been fixed the first time and I would not have had to incur the expense of this as well as a new gas cap I didn't need. I have a 2014 Impala LTZ. I went to start my car and all it did was click. I called the service department and asked if I jump started it would they check it out. Yes, bring it in we'll check it out right away. I arrived and they took the car in and checked the battery and it was bad. The car was still under warranty. They replaced the battery N/C. The car runs like new again. Everything was performed as expected. read more
