They sell a quality product but service and installation are poor. Our bed was installed by Cesar with a defective lift mechanism that was incorrectly assembled. As a result the wallbed would not stay up which was extremely dangerous and lethal . After first complaint I was told lift mechanisms would be replaced. But they weren't. See the attached photos. It was only after the second complaint that the defective lift mechanism was correctly reassembled by Lisa and the tension readjusted so that the bed was no longer a potential death and human mouse trap. read more

A day or so after posting my original review, I got an email saying they had the part and someone would contact me to schedule the repair. Within a week, Cesar, a local contractor for Wallbeds n More came to check the bed and took it away to fix it. He brought it back & installed it 3 days later. Cesar was excellent: communicative, punctual and prompt. We have not used the bed yet, as it's in the guest room, but I feel optimistic. read more

For those who are still having issues with the very poor quality of their wall bed (some of us were actually injured by them), your credit card company can help you with a refund. I worked with a lead dispute manager who stated they had never seen such poor "craftsmanship" and fully supported my case. I received a refund in full and returned the unit to Wallbeds n More. Unfortunately they never reimbursed me for the new mattress that was damaged that I had to dispose of. For those who have the Wallbed, check under your mattress to discover that it sits on corrugated cardboard which is not a suitable base for a mattress. read more

We were happy to support this company as their wall beds are made in the USA. But now that we've received it and "slept" on it, it has flaws. There's a 3/4" piece of wood in the center of the bed. Looking at it, it seems like there's no problem. Sleep on it and it's far worse than the "Princess and the Pea", the board in the center caused a rolling effect that I never would've expected. We called to company to find out what they had to say and Roger called and left a voicemail about how they're never heard that before... we are still not satisfied. I had a "cubby hole" space in my office I thought a wallbed would do well in. I made an appointment with Roger, and I went to their business park office in Costa Mesa. The process was easy. Wallbeds displayed, you pick. I believe Roger will come out to your home to measure, etc. But, I didn't need that service. I'm going to rate 3 aspects of the process. Queen Barrington Wallbed Sales: Roger did an outstanding job. True customer service. I'm no-nonsense. He was very knowledgeable, and accommodating throughout the process. I needed to expedite the bed delivery, and Roger did everything he could do to facilitate that. In the end, due to other circumstances, the date discussed (not promised) did not happen. I don't blame Roger for that. He was prompt with phone calls, and keeping me informed of the bed's status. I can't speak for the amount of work he did behind the scenes but, he indicated in several conversations that he was constantly following up with the home office. 5 stars for Roger and his service. Delivery time/service: Again, a delivery date was discussed at the time of purchase with Roger. He called the home office to facilitate. However, due to manufacturing delays, the delivery was 1 week late. That said, delivery was within the time period that I needed the bed. The only issue I have is that since (like most delivery/install) companies only have delivery windows of 4hrs., and won't confirm until the day before what time of the day (AM or PM ), I had to take the day off from work. By the time I found out delivery would not occur, it was too late to ask for my vacation day back. Flash forward a week, after a few calls in both directions, Roger helped to facilitate an early delivery time. The 3 person crew lead by Lisa came within the hour window (8a-9a), and was very efficient. I have wood floors, they placed furniture blankets down. Happy they had soft sole shoes for walking in the other area of the house. The crew avoided the fan during install (grateful) but, grazed the wall. Thankfully, only paint damage. I'll have to find some touch up. The paint scrape was acknowledged by Lisa. 4.5 for delivery time frame = Bed purchased 5/27 - Delivered 7/17 Approximately 7 weeks with holiday = Standard - No expedite but, before I needed it. 4.5 for delivery service = .5 off for wall ding. Bed quality: This is not a cheap bed. So, you expect good quality. I'm disappointed in staining. It appears they put the molding on prior to putting on the stain. It looks like there is a lighter stain, then darker. Also, the stain (cherry) appears way darker than the showroom and internet pictures. Roger mentioned in one of our phone calls, the delay was related to putting on an additional coat of stain. I wonder if that happened, whether or not it was necessary. While made to order, they are the same process, build and stain. I'm going to try to attached pictures for you to decide. 4 stars for staining issues. Disappointing. Especially after being told delays associated with getting the "finish" right. Overall... pleased with sales and delivery. Bed quality vs. Price... I might do a little more shopping around. Roger facilitate a sales price. So, if I had to have paid full price. I'd be very disappointed. read more

Love, Love, Love our wallbed. We got the Barrington with side cabinets in the light wood. The product is so well made and with solid wood too. Roger is great and since I was about to get knee replacement surgery he put a rush on the production. Came right when we needed it and the installation crew was amazing. I went and replaced the carpet in that room first because I didn't want to have to deal with the take down and reinstall any time soon. The mattress is on the firm side, but that's what I like. You can shop for your own mattress if you want and not get theirs. The Wallbed is the perfect solution for our guest room/office and goes up and down very easily. read more

Absolutely the worst possible experience. If I could rate them -5 stars I would. TLDR at the end. First lets talk about the buying experience: You are told that this is an American made product. Made in San Francisco area and that it is solid wood. It's not. It's actually plywood. You are also asked for all the money up front. Which is suspicious. Now lets talk about the waiting. You are told it will be 8-10 week to get your order. After that you are not given any communication. No updates. No time line. No estimated delivery date. Just a nebulous time frame. I ordered in November. I expected to see my bed in February. Mid-February, I called. I was told end of February. End of February I was given a date of Mid-March. They then blew that by more than a week. I would have been Ok waiting if they would have communicated better. Or at all. And I would have tolerated the delay if the quality had been there. I had looked at Murphy beds on line and saw several appealing models for around 3-4K. They were MDF and I decided if I was going to put in a bed I wanted something that was good quality. Made with real boards. I decided to pay top dollar because I want to believe in local businesses. Boy was I let down. First, the fit and finish of the product was terrible. Anything that wasn't immediately visible (like the backs of drawers and the inside of cabinets) was unfinished. The inside of the pedestal (chest of drawers) was not only unfinished, it had weird spray patterns and was dusty on the inside. They didn't even bother to paint it. There are weirdly painted bit and weirdly unpainted bits. The backs and sides of the drawers were poorly cut and in the case of one of the drawers it was completely shredded. The top part of the side desk was of such poor quality that I had to have it replaced twice. On the third time they got it right. The Murphy bed I bought had a desk to it. The surface of that desk had many imperfections including what looked to be a tape mark or a drag mark in the middle. And to top it all off, the underside of the desk was unfinished and so rough that it caught on my clothing. It is now the middle of May and I had to have someone actually finish the desk for me so I could use it. And worst of all was the attitude I got from the company. I sent all of my photos and my discussions to their customer service and my concerns were just shrugged off. For the unfinished and weirdly finished portions I was told, and I quote. "But no one is going to see that." That is not an acceptable answer. While they GRUDGINGLY replaced the shredded drawer and the table top they shrugged off the rest of my concerns and comments. This was billed as American, quality furniture. And quite frankly, my Chinese made kitchen cabinets were 100% better quality. And used solid wood where it matters not low quality plywood. TLDR: Poor quality, poor communication, poor customer service. If you don't want furniture that looks like it was made by people that just don't care, go elsewhere. read more

Like someone else said, ordering was the easy part. But when the bed shows up, then it is a different story. Mine turned out looking nothing like I thought it would. And there were paint flaws that were very noticeable on the cabinet doors. I was basically ignored when I wanted to know what they intended to do about it. They said they would replace the doors with the bad paint job, but then I never heard from them again. I would never recommend this company to anyone under any circumstance. RUN...... For years I've wanted to create a room that could serve as both an office or a guest bedroom, and from start to finish I want to commend Wallbeds n More in Costa Mesa for their professional service, from phone call to appointment to delivery. Although I called a couple days after memorial day, I was able to have the memorial day special extended a couple days afterwards thanks to Roger and team (apparently there was a lot of interest that weekend). Roger was friendly over the phone, and when I met him in person for my appointment he showed me the different choices available. Ultimately I selected a cabinet fold out bed which was a lot less expensive than the wall bed I could've purchased but I was happy I wasn't pressured to buy the more expensive wall beds since it wouldn't fit my needs. I purchased the style I wanted and was told I would hear from somebody when it was closer to delivery. Sure enough, I got a phone call from Lisa to coordinate a delivery day. Since I needed more time to confirm the date she gave me her cell phone to text when I knew for sure, which I did when I was confident what day I could confirm delivery. On the day of delivery the bed was brought in by Rodney and Jesus with prompt and friendly service, with care taken to protect my hardwood floors and a quick overview of how to use the bed before they left. I was told that he does most of the work over the phone and then tried to present a sales pitch, without once asking me what I was looking for. Our entire experience, from beginning to end, was excellent. They came out and measured my odd shaped area. We then drove to the showroom and placed our order. It took about 5 weeks to receive our order, which was about what we were told. The delivery/installation team showed up on time and did a great job. They were very careful not to bump the walls or scratch the floor. We did find a tiny flaw in our wallbed but the installation team touched it up and it looks great. We have already had a couple of guests and they told us that it was very comfortable. While it wasn't cheap, it was less expensive than some that we had looked at. The quality is very good. We have been using wall beds for our homes for decades. We compared Wall Beds n' More to two other providers, and found them to be the best quality and value for our needs. From the moment we met Roger at their warehouse in Costa Mesa, we were very impressed. Roger is very experienced and knowledgeable, and the company history seemed dependable. Today our bed was delivered, and the installation was handled efficiently and professionally, and Lisa (the installer) was professional and personable. Wall Beds n' More is not the cheapest wall bed out there, but the quality we received made the overall value outstanding. Roger worked with us to find the bed that best suited our needs, told us what we should expect, and that's exactly what we received. We're now looking for other rooms to provide double-duty with these wonderful beds. The only negative reviews in the recent years came from someone who didn't even give them a chance, and the phone experience she describes is totally different than ours. read more

I bought a mobile bed from Wallbeds N More. It was overpriced but needed something for a very small space and there are not alot of options on the market. Unfortunately, buying it was the easy part. Getting it delivered was a nightmare! It took several days of leaving messages to get a phone call from the person they contract delivery services with. I was given a standard "delivery window" and was called 5 minutes before they end of that window to say they'd be an hour late. Then I was called 5 minutes before the end of THAT hour and told they'd be another hour late. Noone apologized or thanked me for my patience. When they finally arrived, the delivery men were rude, delivered the bed and left without a word. To top it all off, I couldn't open the bed. There were NO written instructions or diagrams delivered with the bed. I called the store and was told that the drivers who delivered the bed would come right back and show me how to operate the bed. Of course, they never came back and I had to figure it out myself. I attempted to speak with management about this fiasco and he told me he would pass my concerns along to the "owner". Of course, the owner never called me back. Wallbeds N More' owner needs to realize that selling the product is just a part of what consumers expect when they purpose an expensive piece of furniture. the delivery and customer service aspect of the purchase are important too. I will not deal with a company that doesn't seem to get this. read more

Rodger was very good to us and even came to our home to make sure that our wood color choices looked good in the room.
