The office has high end CArestream 6500 Xray machines .other offices do not offer Carestream 6500. Dr. Herber is an excellent dentist. Dr. Herber helps my sons with dental hygienes and cleanings. Dr. Herber educates my sons regarding better oral hygiene. She teaches my sons the modified Bass technique to help remove more plaque from their dentition. She prescribes the Ormco Spark orthodontics brackets. Nobody in the area prescribes Ormco Spark. I love Ormco Spark brackets. Ormco Spark appliances are better than Invisalign in maintenance. Dr. Herber's assistant overcharged me for cleaning and X-rays. I visit this office for my son's dental care.

I even had to ask for polishing at my next visit because it wasn't done the first time. Their prices weren't bad, especially considering they're out of network -- something I didn't find out until after I paid. They weren't terrible, but the overall patient experience and professionalism just weren't strong enough for me to want to return.

When I checked my appointment again, I realized I was actually scheduled at Fair Lakes Family Dentistry, so I drove over hoping this experience would be different. The moment I walked in, the beautiful lobby and welcoming staff immediately shifted the tone. A.D., the dental assistant, called me back and introduced herself with such warmth that my guard began to lower. Our conversation felt natural and calming, which helped me relax before the appointment even began. Then I met Corey, the dental hygienist. When he spoke, I noticed his accent and asked where he was from. When he said Memphis, I smiled instantly--because I'm from Memphis too, born and raised. That small moment of connection turned what could have been a stressful appointment into something much more human. Corey listened as I shared my past dental concerns and experiences. I arrived for my appointment and the receptionist greeted me and thanked me for filling out the form online. I arrived about 25 minutes before my scheduled appointment and I was called back about 15 minutes after I arrived. Danielle was my dental hygienist and she was very kind, friendly, and understanding of my dental anxiety. She took my X-rays and proceeded with my cleaning gently. It was relaxing and peaceful and I almost fell asleep lol. She regularly checked on me throughout the cleaning and made sure I was okay. Dr. Dickson came by and he was very friendly. I told him about my anxiety and how I hadn't been to the dentist in a while and he was comforting and kind. We talked about both living in the Panhandle! He took a look at my X-rays and my teeth and welcomed me back for a follow up in 6 months. I received a tooth brush too! The receptionist at check out congratulated me on no cavities after 8 years and was very kind. Christopher raised his prices for extraction 50% between April 2022 and Aug 2022 without any…read morenotification to his patients. When I asked him about this increase he stated that not all his procedures went up that much and he blamed costs and the government, and everyone else. I told him that raising his prices is his choice and that not communicating with his patients is also his choice. I asked him why he did not notify his patients and he responded by asking if I expected him to call everyone?! I said that he could have sent either emails or mailed notices. He did not even post anything in the office itself. I assume he was hoping that no one actually reads their dental bills and would not notice when the extraction went from $65 to $100. He also said he compared himself to the other dentists and he is much cheaper. While it is his right to raise prices, his lack of communication is poor customer service.
