After my car slid into a ravine surrounded by sticker bushes, I contacted a couple of tow companies one of which would not take his truck out in the snow and ice. Wally's called back said they would be a available later that evening. I didn't give it much hope since it was so icy etc. Plus I was stuck on a lousy road(228th between qfc and Brier road) near the bottom of the hill) They called when they said they would and we're at my car already. I drove down and they had already got my car out! After putting it on their car carrier they met me up the street unloaded it and that was that. The two guys that did this were great. Called these guys to get my work truck towed, told them the make, model and year of my truck and that it was a cube van and the guy on the phone was rude and making comments about the stuff I have on my truck and that it's over stocked and don't need that much stuff in my truck. What the hell does he know what I need in my truck to do my job?? He said someone would arrive in a hour to 90 mins. The driver arrived right on time, but upon arrival said the cube van was too tall and they needed another truck, and would have to drop the drive line to take to the shop 1.2 miles from where my cube van was at. He said additional $50 and I agree and the driver says I have to go get another truck because the cube van was too tall on flat bed. Ok. So he leaves, I get a call 20 minutes later from the guy who answered the phone and said after the details he got from driver they can't tow the truck now because driver needs a CDL license which I understand but he should have know that from the description of vehicle I gave him on the phone in the first place. The guys poor ass attitude on the phone seemed like a asshole and the waste of time showing up, then leaving to go get another truck then calling and canceling tow was a waste of my time. Get it together over there and someone needs to have a talk with the guy answering the phone because he was an asshole for no reason. Must hate his job. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

When my two weeks are up we will do lunch.r to the house it was being delivered to. They gave me a time frame of 10~3. I made sure this would work for the person receiving the car. He said it would. Well, one day after work, my car decided it didn't feel like starting up. It had been cranking slower than usual the last few weeks; I figured it wasn't a non-issue since it started every day during that time. (It wasn't a battery problem but a possible starter issue...) I need a car literally every day for work and school, so it had to get fixed- and called Wally's towing after seeing that they had good reviews. Got a tow set up. Fast forward a half hour or so- I get back to my car, and it hesitantly starts up again. The starter is making "whiny" noises, but it gets the car going, nonetheless. I decide to take a chance and take the car home. Now this is the good part- I called Wally's back to see what my options were. Without being asked, the person on the phone (sorry, forget his name) says he'll cancel the tow, with NO CHARGE!! The driver was already half way there too! I appreciate this aspect of customer service, and although I wish no one to be in need of a tow, if necessary, I recommend Wally's. Honesty pays. read more

During the recent snow, my wife avoided hitting a car and ended up hitting a pole. She left the car after calling the PD. The PD had Wally's Towing tow the car. We went down and signed the release paperwork so the car could be picked up with no issues. Currently Wally's has blocked any calls from Roadside Assistance so the towing company can't schedule a pick up. Our insurance company is trying to call to get fees paid for and car towed to the body shop and they aren't answering their calls either. On top of that they sent a letter saying we need to pick up the car within a time limit or they will auction it off. To no fault of ours we can't get any business done because they have blocked numbers or not answered calls. read more

Without a doubt, the BEST towing experience I've ever had! I hope I don't need to be towed again any time soon, but if I do, it'll be Wally's for sure. Call answered immediately, truck dispatched in in time frame indicated. My car was in the far end of an underground garage and the truck couldn't get to it. Rather than making me wait for a different truck (I work at home and had a series of conference calls scheduled), the very nice driver managed to push it out to where he could load it and take it for repair. Plus, they charge the cost to the automotive repair shop so I only have one combined bill to pay. When you have to deal with a car that's out of commission, facing who knows what in terms of repair cost and the lack of transportation, it really helps when the towing doesn't add to the mix. read more

These people are thieves so make damn sure that you account for everything in your car before these people put their hands on it. My car was towed by them late on November 3rd 20018 & I picked it up on November 4th; there was an (inexpensive) diamond cross that hung from the rear view mirror which THEY stole period. I called notified them this item was missing on Jan 7 as I travel a lot for work and did not notice it until that date. The clown that answered the phone scoffed at me when I mentioned the date the item was missing, despite my informing him that I travel frequently and hadn't noticed it missing till today & nobody uses or even has the key to my car when I travel, the key is with me. Since I moved to the state of WA (4/1/2017) Not one person has driven my car but me and the Wally's Towing driver. He told me that he would have the owner return a call to me which has not happened to date. That Item was a gift from a family member that has personal value and has been on that mirror for 3 years until it was stolen by these un-professionals. I guess it isn't enough to have to deal with the headache of being towed but you also have to worry about being ripped off by this group of thieves... It may seem like common sense but if you are unfortunate enough to have your car towed by Wally's Towing be sure to remove anything of value as their drivers have a 2nd skill-set THEFT. Unfortunately I did not have a choice as to who towed my car but with that, my suggestion: DO NOT CALL WALLY's TOWING FOR ANY KIND OF SERVICE without stripping your interior of anything of value because in all likelihood it won't be there when you retrieve your car. It's hard to believe its 2019 and this kind of ignorance still exist in "specific" industries... $100 may not be court worthy but, I intend to stand on principal here, and I will continually post the facts of this theft as a means of restitution. After waiting over 2.5 hrs for a 3rd party towing company through my insurance, I called Wally's to get my dead car to the shop. Within 15 minutes, the flatbed was there as promised. The operator was courteous and careful with my aging car. It was delivered to the garage and operator arranged for billing along with the repair. Operator refused to take the cash tip offered. I am giving this towing company a rating as 1. My son's car that he just bought was towed with all of his personal property in the car. He is homeless, we wanted to get all of his personal property out of the car and was told we could not get it out. There was a problem as my son just bought the car had was working with the state of California to get title. The guy he bought the car from didn't have the title as the car was never registered here in the state of Washington. We asked if we could get his personal property out of the car and was told no. We are working with the state of California to get the title. The title has been sent and is in the mail and still this towing company will not let him get his stuff out of the car. He is a homeless person and they don't give a rats behind about that. I also have personal property in the car and it doesn't make any difference. They will not release the personal property. I have been to other towing companies and they let you get your personal property out of the car. What is with them? I would not recommend this towing company for anything. He was very reassuring. He told me that his trucks were out on other calls and they would be there in an hour. We were not going to be at the car so he had the driver, Ryan, swing by my place of employment and pick up the key. (At no extra charge) Ryan was very professional and extremely personable. The car was dropped off at the requested location. Wally then called to let me know the job was done. Wally's Towing is actually a legit tow company with insurance & permits as required by law, not like a lot of unmarked tow trucks out there, which I wouldn't trust with my car. I had heard from a friend to use Wally's if I ever needed a tow, which I did recently and am thankful they were prompt, courteous, and took good care of my car. I didn't give them a negative review the last time when they were "very" late, and based on the previous problem I called them before the day I wanted my 56 towed to repair shop. Asked for them to show up at 8am with flatbed and they took down all the info (address, phone, etc). So today at 8am I called them to find out if they were on their way to my house...they had no record, nothing about the tow. So I asked if they could still come out right away since I was taking time off work waiting for them and I'd need to help them push it out of garage. Answer -yes, and they took all the info again. After 45 minutes (they are less than 20 minutes from house) I called again. This time the answer was they had equipment problems and he didn't know their truck was down in Seattle. I asked if there was a reason they couldn't have called me to tell me that info. His answer was that they are a small company and things get confusing. I would think...being a small company he'd know where his equipment is. With this kind of customer service they will stay small with no repeats and cancelled jobs. They need to have someone who knows how to make appointments, schedule appointments, dispatch, and most of all - comunicate with the customer. For me, both times, none of that happened. I called R & R and they did all of the things Wallys did not do....and R & R Towing now has a repeat customer. read more

I've had a variety of tow experiences in the past, and my experience with Wally's Towing tonight was my best one. I found Wally's towing on Yelp. I gave them a call and Wally sent someone immediately...Ryan. Ryan showed up on the scene in a timely manner and had called me shortly before he got there just like I had requested. Ryan was friendly and casual as one would expect. But there was a clear sense to me during the process that he also valued providing good customer service Anywho, I hopped in his truck, he towed the car to the appropriate destination, and gave me a ride back home. I was thrilled when it was time to pay the bill and he told me he could bill my insurance company directly given I'm with State Farm and have towing coverage. (I'm not sure if he does that with other insurance carriers.) It was nice to have the option of having the bill sent to the insurance company instead of me having to pay up front, submit the receipt for reimbursement, and then wait for the reimbursement. It was appreciated that the whole towing experience was convenient, given the reason for the tow was not. read more

The rates for Wally's Towing reflect the cost to keep the equipment up to standard, ensure the tow truck and your vehicle are covered under good insurance, and that you receive a driver who's qualified to tow your vehicle. After breaking down on the 5 freeway near Lynnwood, I was referred to Wally's by a friend of mine that works at a car repair shop. I should have known something was wrong by the gruff and unprofessional treatment I received over the phone. Nontheless, I had Wally send a truck to me. 45 minutes later, I was treated to more unprofessionalism by someone we will call "E" who, clad in some remarkably dirty attire and an unbuttoned shirt, commenced to hook my car up to a flatbed. Unheeding to the alarm bells clanging in my head, I was at the mercy of this man who smiled in all the right places and seemed oblivious to the world around him. We finally reached the shop where I gave "E" the slip, (the truck smelled like an ashtray!) and checked in my automobile. Upon receiving the bill, I noticed it was unusually high. I do not own a 4x4 or an AWD and yet I was charged a flatbed rate because guess what? Wally has no other regular trucks on duty. $150 dollars for a 6 mile trip! When I called another local tow company and asked for a flat rate for a 6 mile trip I was told under 100 dollars for my 2001 Ford Escort....and guess what? They do not allow their drivers to smoke in the trucks. Stay away from this grumpy old man and his ashtrays. read more
