Abysmal. I have used the pharmacy here for insulin fills for my diabetic cat for YEARS. Honestly, I wouldn't step foot in this location for any other reason. Today, I've decided to take my business elsewhere as the pharmacy and their technicians don't follow any sort of protocols and have no consistency in when they enforce "rules." Watch out getting prescriptions for yourself or family. This place and the people they employ follow shady business practices with no explanation to their customers. I came into this store on Monday 2/5 @ 11:30 AM. I was looking for a printer. I came across the "Brothers Mono Printer" it was advertised for $149.00. However, when I went to the register, it rang up as $170.00. Channel (cashier in electronics) was very pleasantest and helpful. I showed her the Rollback sign for this printer with a price of $149.00. Unfortunately, she stated since she is not a manger, she could not change the price. She called Pam, (Dept Manger), over to change the price. Pam stated this cannot be done and she would not do it, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A SIGN. Now, I have been working in customer service well over 10 years and I know how this works. She should have changed this price. Since it was adverted but she decided not to. Pam was very rude and unhelpful. She yelled multiple times this could not be done, and she would not change the price. It is not my fault that your signs are incorrect. Eysha (Regional manager) walked by and heard what happened. Eysha called Mia (Pam's Manger) over to instantly changed the price to $149 (advertised price). Eysha phoned Pam to come out of the backroom, Pam was busy on the phone & never came out. Mia called her on the phone, and stated she needs to be on the floor to assist with customers. Thank you very much Channel for being very pleasant and helpful. Thank you, Eysha & Mia, for changing the printer to the advertised price. Pam, I would suggest being nicer to customers, and even though you may be a manger there is always room to grow and learn new things. It's okay not to know everything and to ask questions. read more

Came to this store to pick up a blow up mattress that I ordered online, I got a phone call after my order and one of their associates explained to me that they didn't have the mattress that I had ordered but she was going to hold another similar one for me. Drove to the store just to find out that they didn't have any mattress on hold! And I couldn't find anything remotely close to what I had ordered. Very disappointed. The store was very unorganized and dirty. Trying to find the price of an item is pretty much impossible! Nothing is labeled. Staff wasn't nice or helpful. Lines to check out were pretty long, they could have opened more to expedite the process but nope! Food fridges were pretty much empty in most of the aisles. And last but not least, parking is a bit of a circus! read more

Pretty cool location, actually, this is the only Walmart I visit, so I'm happy with it. The store has quite a variety of products and prices on some items are definitely cheaper then at Giant (Campbell's Chunky soups are at least a few cents cheaper, I have to figure out how much to make this review more useful) The parking was easy for me to find, but then again, I came in at 11 am on a Saturday and my car was not damaged in the lot (which is always amazing). The aisles did get pretty busy as the day went on... I was shopping with my cousin... only she could spend three hours in a Walmart. I placed an order for pick up & they gave my order to someone else 10 minutes before I got to the curbside pick up area.... They did not check to see who the person was that they were giving my order to & have now inconvenienced me. Of course Walmart customer service had no sympathy in which I will never be shopping at this walmart or doing curbside ever again. Went to the Kingstown Walmart recently to buy a replacement battery for my wife's car. Noted one employee, giving me a long stare (rather than offering assistance). I pay for the battery plus a few more items and as I'm leaving, holding the receipt in hand, this short (believe Hispanic) young lady, who I must assume is a lead or supervisor, walks up to the woman checking receipts as I'm leaving and says "make sure to check the receipt for the battery", then walks off. I'm shocked! I go to this location a lot, since it's close, and I've notice a lot of turnover in the employees. Beside the rude tone, I didn't much care for the statement that implied I might be stealing. I'll make sure to get her name next time and find out if she has a history of acting like this. read more

If I could give this 1/4 of a star I would. I have never been more disappointed in my life with Walmart. I bought good year tires and they only had 3 in the store. No big deal. I had someone call me and tell me that the 4th tire is in. I go to the store and they only have 3. This occurrence happened twice. All I can say is "where the heck is the cleanliness in this store. The girl was holding the fries with no gloves on. I was watching her fingers touching my fries as she use the same hands wipe her face. Did I mentioned her colored nail? I am pretty sure that is a violation of safe food handling. DO NOT DO PICK UP!! I had the worst experience with online pick up at this Walmart.I bought just a few things (one of the items were a high ticket electronic item) I parked in the pick up spot and checked in, Then I received a notification that my items were picked up which didn't make sense because I hadn't received anything. I started getting worried after about 5-10 mins I saw no one coming so I walked inside to the pick up counter and asked one of the employees about my order, I looked over and saw my order just sitting on the counter so I asked the lady why was my order sitting there? She said that nobody brought my order out because I didn't choose what bay I was in. Which was a lie I've done pick up so many times I know the drill I have even worked for walmart pick up before so the story the lady was telling me wasn't making sense. I had some high ticket items that they were trying to be slick with is what I think was going on also I was missing part of my order they substituted some things that I did not want. A complete disaster to top it of it was rainy and cold!! That's why I chose to do pick up but never again at this place! I have waited 4 hours to get my tires rotated and balance because it came with the installation of tires on my car. I called before arriving took me 10mins to get to Walmart and never got it done. I wasted 4 hours of my life because they claimed that they weren't busy. They could have told me they were busy and I would have gladly gone elsewhere and paid someone to do this job. Again maybe everyone got the same idea I did and all came in the last 10mins to get new tires or have them rotated, that is a possibility doubt it is though. This place has no helpful employees what so ever. They have a great selection and it is much more organized than the one on Richmond highway...the employees aren't helpful though. I rarely need their help but when I do they're either non existent or just bleh. They also don't seem to restock on certain things a lot. I went to buy batteries for my car key and they had ran out. But I could check out and buy new products just fine. How can 1 system be out and another work just fine? This location is alright. Its pretty annoying there's no produce but besides that, food was okay. They didn't have as much as other Walmart locations however. Only actually annoyance was the rude employee who thought it was a better idea to run over my legs with a cart instead of simply saying excuse me. I was an anti walmart but went shopping here because one of my friends recommended. I'm sure you are wondering why I put 2 stars then. I happened to see a bad situation. One customer dropped a glass product. It was broken and the pieces were everywhere. He tried cleaning by himself. I tried helping him. There were two staffs near us. They were chatting and watching us but had never helped us directly but called other staffs to make them clean up. They did not show up by we finished cleaned up mostly. Sad... Variety: Wow! Attention Eric McCoy: Today at 5:45pm I was harassed by a Verizon Employee in your store. I was passing through the Electronics section when this occurred. The dark haired male with light complexion engaged me with a question "What home internet provider do you have"? I told him I was not interested. He continued with more questions then sarcastically made fun of me. I had to instruct him a second time that I was not interested. I was so upset, I stopped a female Walmart employee if the Verizon Employees are allowed to harass customers. She said no, but they are allowed to ask customers about services. As I was asking this question, a female Verizon Employee, African-American, was standing off to my right in earshot of my question to your female staff member. It is apparent, that this male Verizon employee requires additional training, so that he may learn to comprehend the translational interpretation of "I AM NOT INTERESTED". Here's how this Verizon employee should have responded to my statement, "okay Sir, no problem...have a nice day". Perhaps he can be trained to respond in this fashion. The absolute worst place to get your tires. I bought the tires on line and was told to come in early to get my tires mounted. I was here at 8am. I was told come back in 2 hrs so I walked home. 2 miles. Around 12pm, after a few attempted calls with no answer, I walked back assuming it had been 4 hours and my car is waiting for me. When I got there, I was told they were just starting to work on it and it should be 45 minutes to an hour and they would call me if it was less time. I returned an hour and a half later since they had not called me and waited in line to ask about my car. It is now 2:20 and I am finally getting my car. It took six hours to mount for tires on my car.! My whole day off was shot! Definitely lessons learned not to come to a discount place for something like this. If I could give this Kingstowne Walmart a 0, I absolutely would. I am livid! This Walmart has gotten progressively worse and worse and tonight was the final straw. I had a full cart of groceries, some clothes items, paper goods, and some last minute Halloween decorations and lights. And bottled water and 12pks of sodas and cat litter on the bottom of the cart. I went to the self checkout like I have always done. And have done many times at this specific Walmart. I had scanned and rang up and bagged EVERYTHING in the cart, was nearly finished and grabbed the wand scanner to ring in the things on the bottom. One of the middle eastern associates came over and said, this is way too much stuff for self checkout, you need to take it to a cashier to ring it all in. I said, I'm nearly done, all I needed were the things on bottom, which I had the wand in my hand trying to scan. She again said, no it's too much, a cashier needs to ring it all in. At that point there were only a few other customers at other self checkout kiosks, one with a family of like 6 screaming kids and I was getting more and more frustrated and impatient bc I had already rang in and bagged everything but the 4-5 large items below. And had already been there for 1.5 hours shopping and was ready to pay and get out of there. At that point another associate came over and asked what the issue was, I explained what the other associate, whom I could barely understand, had said, and the (who I can only assume) was a supervisor said it's because this kiosk wasn't accepting nor giving cash. I said I was paying with card and didn't need cash. She then backed her employee and said just to let them ring it all in, "it would be very fast", and the first woman started grabbing all the bags in my cart and just dumping them all out into the cart, smushing my bread, tortilla, chips, bags of rice and noodles. She then grabbed my cart and yanked it over to her little kiosk and started ringing stuff in. But it indeed WAS NOT "really fast". She took her sweet ass time, and everything that I had had organized and bagged properly, she was now just throwing into bags together and not even taking care of the more fragile items at all. Literally threw canned goods on top of the chips and bread. I was so furious at this point. I was trying to hand her items to get them scanned in faster so I could pay and get out of there. In all, she took a good 30 mins to get everything rang in and re-bagged and haphazardly thrown into the cart. I could've been done and paid and out of there 45 mins prior, and have gone about my very busy night, and still had more errands to run, but bc she had cost me more of my valuable time, the other stops I needed to make couldn't happen bc they were already closed by the time I actually left. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THAT LOCATION EVER AGAIN. I usually shop at the Burke location, as that one is much nicer and never as crowded as Kingstowne. And the employees are so much nicer and more respectful and actually considerate in knowing how to treat paying customers and how to bag items accordingly. In all the times I've shopped at both the Burke and Kingstowne locations, Kingstowne has always always had a bad experience in some way. I've shopped at and given them so much of my money over the years, but tonight was absolutely the worst shopping experience Ive ever had at ANY store, not just any Walmart. I've NEVER been treated so poorly and disrespected when spending money at an establishment. I will be sending this complaint to corporate and blasting all over social media so others can know never to shop that location ever again. It's not like they're hurting for business so it probably won't matter much to them and they'll continue their same shoddy and horrible business practices and abhorrent customer service skills. They have Redskins gear here, what's not to love about this store! Great store for getting basic household stuff and for getting a t-shirt that you can put an iron-on for a race. My shirt costs $3.98 I believe, what a great deal. I think WalMart is awesome, now only if there were a closer one since I live in Arlington. This place is ALWAYS crowded etc. I only wish the cashiers would hand you your bags on that turnstile they have so you won't forget something. They are so busy trying to get to the next customer, that they just expect you to know how many bags you have and to make sure you grab them all. my husband and i went last night to get a couple of things for ourselves and our family. while we were shopping by ourselves we had a pleasant experience. once we began to check out a woman who worked at the self checkout area began to hover over us. we didn't think anything of it until she started wrongfully accusing us of not scanning items and trying to steal things. we explained we had everything scanned and showed her the screen, but she did not drop it. she began scanning every single item in our cart with her little device and of course she was wrong. she never apologized or even walked away she just continued watching us, and quite frankly it made my husband and i feel extremely uncomfortable. it was not a pleasant experience at all. i hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

I've been to wayyyyyyy better Walmarts (even the one in Brunswick, Georgia was better). I'm here in VA for a month of work with some other folks. Eventhough I was on hold for about 30 minutes. The guy on the other end was not willing to tell me if the tire size I needed was in stock and told me to come to the store to find out. Also, I confirmed that I would like to make an appt to change my tires but was told to come in person. Finally, I came in person and the guy said we dont have ANY tire in my size.... so you couldnt tell me that over the phone? No thanks Walmart. Not even interested in your road hazard Warranty. Find a local tire shop. And build your relationship with them instead of a Walmart. read more

This Walmart location does a poor job with keeping up with customer demand, especially for the winter and at the start of school for supplies. Not good customer service and very unorganized with maintaining merchandise. I was looking for thermal wear and many of the items were pulled off the hangers or removed from the boxes they were packed in. In addition, the cashier was very disrespectful and rude because there were no tags on some of the items brought and she didn't seem to know how to find the costs. She actually argued with me about why I would choose merchandise with no tags. Not good. Would recommend management relook at the upkeep of this Walmart, especially during high demand seasons. read more

I went yesterday after looking up a printer on the Walmart app. It showed the printer as being $34.88 but on sale for $18.24. It said on the app that there were 5 in stock and available for pickup at the Kingstowne location. As much as I dread this place, I needed 4 printers for a project and since they had them in stock I would just swing by and pick them up. I got into the electronics department, loaded my 4 printers in my cart and headed to checkout. The first printer rang up as the $34.88 original price. When I opened the Walmart app to get the price match with the advertised price, a very RUDE lead jumped in, basically called me an idiot for using the "wrong app", and advised me that because the app he had on his phone showed the items as out of stock, they would not honor the advertised price on the WALMART app. I asked him how it was possible to be out of stock when I clearly had 4 in my cart, so it was not out of stock. He said that HIS app on HIS phone showed out of stock and therefor he would not honor the price. He advised me that there was NO way I was getting those printers at that price. The Walmart advertised price. When I asked to speak to a real manager, he stated that he was.... which in fact he was not, and he called a real manager on walkie . While waiting I told him that I was a business owner and if one of my employees treated a customer the way he was treating me I would have fired them. He looked at me and said " oh really, I'm proud you have your own place miss big business owner, I am sorry you think I am rude for following the rules." I stood there in silence for a minute, because I would have otherwise said things that I am sure I would regret at some point later in life. I just looked at him and said "wow, you are really rude and don't appreciate being spoken to this way" I was then told that if I could follow simple instructions and looked at the right app, I would see that the items were out of stock. I told him that I was not an idiot and I know how to use the walmart app. He looked at me and stated that he was sorry that I felt like an idiot and that I was in fact not using the correct Walmart app... ok... finally the legit manager showed up, advised me that she was going to honor the price, but in the future, when it says out of stock, they do not and that next time, I should order online and pickup in store if I want the advertised sale price... seriously? The WALMART app says in stock, says they are there for in store pickup, why else would I have come all the way in to pick them up? stupid...... I advised her how rude her lead cashier was and she just shook her head, said she understood, and walked off. I've ordered online for in store pickup and never has it ever worked nor have they every had what I ordered, I avoid the order online and pick up in store because it's pointless. I did feel a bit of justice as the rude non-manager had to ring up all 4 of my "out of stock" printers at the advertised price, although he did manage to throw in a final "wow, you're really getting over on us with these printers today, I guess not everyone has to follow store policy" I mean who acts like that? This store clearly doesn't care about customer service, as I read through all the other bad reviews and ratings, most being based on how they were treated in-store. I say avoid this place like the plague. I know I am just one person, but I doubt I will ever walk in this store again.... I will just order what I want and have it delivered to my house... the little bit of delivery charge is worth not having to deal with the rude and condescending employees at this location. read more

Yeah, till 2 weeks later as you check the tracking that it shows being there, only to find out it's never been processed. Then to call only to get transferred repeatedly for about 45mins. Yeah seriously! Ask for a manager and get told they're on vacation. Come to find out the young man who signed for the Fedex, doesn't remember where he placed my package and they can't find it anywhere in the store. So hmm, convenient that it was expensive and vanished. Definitely not ordering online from them or dealing with this godawful store anymore. Hope whoever has my stuff chokes on it. read more

I know what to expect...or so I thought. I stopped in here on 5-21-2022 for some supplies. I know, I should have found another place to shop but I like Wal-Mart and I will be back no matter how much fun it is. I found some parking which can be a challenge because this place is always crowded. I ended up getting some canned goods and some drinks (non-alcoholic). Now the fun starts when I proceed to the check-out. You know they have one or two lanes open and everything else is self-check-out!! Um, I don't work here and I will be getting in the line to have my stuff checked out by a cashier. It's bad enough that I have to take it off the shelves, put it in the buggy, pay for it and then get it from my car to inside my house!!! I need Wal-Mart to do some of the work. Now, if I were to get a discount for self-check-out, I'd consider it. The store resembled a border crossing (in my mind/what I see on television). People were everywhere!! People were wearing anything too. LOL. Just nasty. How about a dress code for shopping? All in all, I knew what to almost expect. I will be back. I like the prices and the big selection. The manager of this store, Christina as of today, should be fired for taking zero responsibility for her store. She hides in her office, sending out lackeys to take the blame for her extremely poor management skills. This place is always a hot mess, but today takes the cake. Many of us waited 30-45 minutes today in the customer service line because there were only two employees working things and one of them was new and clearly had received almost no training (so he asked the other one how to do everything). When I (and a couple other customers) asked who the manager was, we were given the brush off. I persisted so they asked someone else, not the actual manager, to come speak to me. While he was polite, it was clear he had zero power to get anything accomplished. This place could be so much better. What a disgrace. read more
