I want to thank Sean from Walmart for providing excellent customer service. We needed a bike and all of the floor models were gone. Sean the Manager helped us out by pulling one from the back and ensuring it was put together by their installer first thing in the morning on the 4th of July so that we could make the bike parade. He even gave us a call at 7am to let us know it was ready. We sure did appreciate Sean going out of his way to ensure we were taken care of and most of all easing our minds just knowing we would have our bike for the parade. A Big Thank You Sean! This Walmart is horrible. I just waited 25 minutes to return a $15 item. Heck, I should have just kept it, it would have been better than being totally frustrated and ruining my day. I'm done shopping at this location. Always takes forever to check out. Parking lot is jammed with door dingers. The shelves seem like there are missing items and the pick up is at the back of the store, epic fail. I'll go elsewhere next time, not worth the drive to just be aggravated. read more

I'm never going to Walmart again !I just spent two hundred dollars and I spend hundreds of dollars in their at least once a week ..I went in their today spend 175 bucks and I needed one bag ..so after my transaction I give her 200 I get the dayum receipt and all that .I tried to grab one bag because I had a few small things with clothes..All the huge items like plastic tubs and laundry baskets were all paid for .My hands were full .She says oh I forgot to charge you for a bag!!It's a matter of principle with me .She was also giving me dirty looks up and down .This isn't the first incident I had problems.Last year I let it go but I bought a Xbox ans video games for my daughter for her bday in the electronics department!!Mind you their is no common sense because I had already paid for that in electronic and told the cashier .My mom was buying sodas and a cake and those items .I told her about the receipt 3 times even though they have that stuff locked up .You can't just pick up a Xbox ‍ and games and bring them to the front to steal !She came close to me after I told her 3 times so I wave it in her face .She says their are cameras you know !!Well good !Show the dayum cameras!I don't care !I told the store manager by phone and all she can do is argue back or condone these actions and says sorry for the inconvenience.No you aren't I say and we hang up .For now on I'll but Online or go to aces or miners .This is why businesses are going under.When you treat your customers like crap they won't go their anymore .I'll be sure to tell all my friends about those to women and how the manager handled it .My husband runs a million dollar company.Thats not how you treat pple Without us they have no job .Keep up the good work !Bravo ! read more

My expectations for Walmart are already pretty low so when a simple return takes over 30 minutes, speaking with 2 different managers and walking clear across the store to see if there is a sign that they claimed should have been visible (there wasn't) it kind of blows my mind. Awesome store manager, but racist staff!!! After waking up to a puddle of water in my tent I went to exchange it as I had only bought it a day before. I had receipt and everything and was looking to exchange for the same thing or to upgrade to a Coleman since the Walmart brand Ozark Trail is very cheaply constructed. Carl, a manager there, comes up and says they don't return or exchange camping equipment. "since we are in a camping area and people buy and return tents all the time". Except I only had the tent a night and I wasn't returning anything. He wouldn't let me exchange it either even after I pointed out their written return policy which allows it. I'm sorry, this is Walmart one of the largest most profitable chains and they are worried about a tent exchange? I quickly realized I am a Persian guy in a town full of classless white hicks. He probably looked at me and made the judgment that because I am brown, Arab or Mexican or whatever, that I am impoverished and trying to take advantage of their refund policies. I was sure of his prejudice when I had a problem with him a couple days later when I was trying to upgrade my air bed too. Shelley, the store manager, was fabulous and spoke to me very welcomingly and respectfully and accommodated me. The fact that I had to call her, one time and especially a 2nd time, was disappointing though. I'm sure if I was a nice cleaned up white man it would have gone differently. I have zero tolerance for prejudice and think it is entirely unacceptable in any circumstance. I highly suggest to Shelley to remove Carl from customer service, and once that happens I can rate this place better. read more

It's a Wal-Mart. What do you expect? Instead of being shocked for having terrible customer service, I should be surprised that excellent customer service even came my way. I've only had ONE experience where I had wonderful customer service from an employee. All the other times I've been there had either a person play dumb with me, ignore me, or give me attitude. I even had an incidence at the counter where a girl just shoved my items to the side and didn't even give me the receipt. I asked her for it and she let out a huge sigh and ripped it from the printer. Then she just ignored me and moved on to the next person while I bagged my own items (yeah, this was when bags haven't been banned yet). It's reasons like this I'm thankful for online shopping and alternative stores. I only come here when I really need to (which is RARELY). read more

I shop at this Walmart all the time. I don't really have many issues with them. But the one thing that really bugs me is that there is no one at the jewelry counter. I purchased a watch there the other day. I needed a link taken out of the band. I waited and waited. I pushed the button twice. My husband asked someone from another dept to help us. Still no one came. I left. There was someone looking at the jewelry in the cases who left too. So, they lost a sale because no one could be bothered to be at the jewelry counter. My husband said something to one of the "yellow vests". She didn't seem to care too much. He interrupted her conversation with her friend. This has happened to me there before. I know customer service is lax at Walmart but this is too lax. read more

They get 2 stars because the prices are good. Service would get only one star. I was in the electronics section today and three employees were standing around talking when I went up to the counter. Two of them looked at me and just kept on talking to each other. When a 4th employee walked by he asked me if I needed help. When I asked an employee where I could get an electric shaver, he was no help and acted like I was bothering him. If you can, just go to Costco. Prices are good and people seem to care that you are there to spend money in their store. This Walmart seems to be worse than the other Walmarts I have visited. read more

Thanks to Andrew McIntire my visit to the Walmart Photo Department was very pleasant. He was kind and very helpful to me as I had never printed my own photos. He was very patient and was able to walk me through the process without any problems. I learned how to print pictures on my own. This is the kind of employee that deserves praise. As much as I hate Wal-Mart I do end up grabbing stuff here time to time. The main thing I have learned is don't come on the first or the fifteenth of the month as the hill people come out in droves. The parking situation is pretty good usually and the staff is mostly friendly. I used the ship to store on this most recent visit and it was a very good experience. Their clothing section though is a joke and just stocked with random sizes it seems. Instead of having shirts running from like XS - 2XL they have like a Small, a Medium and like 30 3XLs. I've gone in a couple times to get some new golf shirts, but they always have a terrible assortments of unusual sizes. read more

Wal-Mart gets a lot of praises and boos for its business techniques and its low prices. Thankfully, this is no supercenter that generates controversy (to the best of my knowledge); it is your typical Wal-Mart with a McDonald's, outside vending machines with "Sam's Choice" cola, garden center, people on the outside wanting you to buy cookies or sign petitions, and a pharmacy. I primarily go here to process photos, which is a breeze because they have 3 areas where you could print out your digital camera photos. Other than that, nothing memorable sticks out of my mind. If I could give zero I would. This store is disgusting. Dirty, disorganized and chaotic. Went there today to pick up my photo card order which I received an email notification was ready 6 hrs prior to only to find out it wasn't ready at all. I was informed the cards still needed to be cut and that would take at least another 30 mins. I asked if I could at least see them, man what a disappointment. The cards had a blue streaky hue in them and our faces looked completely orange. I ended up picking them up and then throwing them in the trash when I got home. Lastly went to check out after dodging multiple employee created roadblocks of carts, boxes, etc. only to find enormous lines with only 2 checkers working. Never, ever, again! I placed an order yesterday for a delivery today between 1-2 PM. At 140 PM I received an email my order was delayed. I spent over an hour trying to call the store and was hung up on, transferred, call dropped...even Walmart.com Could not get a hold of a single store associate to talk to you to find out what happened to my order. Finally I got a hold of an associate who was going to get me a manager after she told me it appeared as though "my order was forgotten about." I shop at Walmart because I live close, the prices are cheap and they have what I need. However, the customer service across the board and the lack of professionalism is unreal. It is now past 5 PM and no update on my order. Last guy from Walmart.com told me He filed a complaint since the store will not answer their phone, offered to cancel the order and I said I would just continue to wait because I don't have the ability to go pick it up right now and if they won't answer their phone, they probably won't answer a request for a cancellation Very disappointed! read more

Worst Walmart ever! Returned an item and wanted the credit put back on my credit card and so we proceeded and then the clerk said "Oh so sorry, the system timed out and I will have to give you cash". I didn't want cash and she said, I am so sorry! Really!! I didn't take any extra time that would have timed out the transaction... it was clearly her fault. Update: I received an email late last night (11/19) that half my order is ready for pick up. So only 1 of my 2 items that were in my cart on the 17th is now ready for my to pickup. The store is down to about 50% stock most shelves are nearly empty. Went to pick up photos they said "our online system has been down for days the picture were probably sent to the other store" I asked why they didn't notify me they'd be sending them elsewhere employee said he had no idea how it worked. Finished doing some shopping went to check out and the lady begins piling all my items on the counter then says "sorry I don't have bags" asked if anyone else had bags I could grab for her she said the entire store didn't have bags... " I asked if they were going out of business or under new management since the place is a wreck and she very frantically replied "I don't know, I have no idea ma'am" not sure what's up with this place but it's gone very down hill read more

I go to the store quite often the people in the pharmacy & electronics Dept are very sweet and very friendly I was in there today and I swear it smells like a dead rat or rotten eggs it smelled so bad that I came out of the store and got sick ! they need to do something immediately I tried to tell someone that said she was a manager and she look just kind a looked at me oddly ?! So I wrote a review yesterday about our horrible experience and today the review is gone. Unbelievable. So here I am, writing again. On Saturday 8/18/18, we celebrated the life of my aunt. We ordered a helium tank online with a pick up at this Walmart. The tank was ready for pick up on Wednesday, we weren't able to pick it up until Saturday. After getting to our event and after realizing the helium tank was not only empty but there were party decorations in the box from the previous user...this tank was bought, not rented and should've been full. Walmart told us to bring the tank back to exchange. That was impossible as we were at Oceano Dunes and had no time to pack up, drive back to Walmart and get a new tank. After some more talking with the manager we found out they didn't even have any more tanks. We were told to come get a refund and go to Vons to buy a new tank. Nevermind we were all from out of town and had a small window to prepare for the celebration of Life, but Vons does NOT sell helium tanks. The lack of empathy by this store amazed me. This wasn't a birthday party! The helium was for balloons, we were going to write our message to our loved one on the balloons and release them so our messages could be taken to heaven for her to read. That was our special way of saying goodbye and we were robbed that opportunity. I highly believe our FULL tank was sold since it wasn't picked up the day it was ready, and we were given a helium tank that had obviously been returned. Thanks for NOTHING WALMART! If I could give you a hundred negative stars I would. You suck! The only reason I'm giving you 1 star is because I have no choice if I want to write a review. Which is dumb because you don't even deserve it. And you'll probably delete this post again so I'm also putting it on Yelp. I am finished with Walmart in Arroyo Grande. It's the only store I know of that charges for bags during this pandemic. I wouldn't think of taking my cloth bags into a store. I'm a senior and went to this walmart at 6 in the morning and they never have any of the essentials no toilet paper.no hand sanitizer,no alcohol,when you go online they say they have it in stock.Why do they have the seniors time once a week,for an hour at 6 in the morning and then they don't have crap.We just have to guess when they might have something in stock.Way to treat seniors.What a joke the manager needs to do something.Why have senior hours once a week for an hour? This is about their curbside pickup which is appalling. I used them months ago, and was frustrated by the lack of pick up spaces, and there was no number to call to get the curbside pickup. I tried again this week. This time the email showed where the pick up place was - near the loading dock, but when I got there there was nothing. Some lovely employee, Jesus, called for me, and told me to pull to the front and call a number and they would bring it out. I pulled around and called the number he gave me. I get someone who just complained about how busy she was. I told her to talk to her employer, not me. Five minutes later my stuff was brought out, and they wrote the number on a sticker so I would have it for next time, but there will be no next time. If you are going to offer curbside pickup, you need a designated space and a phone number. This is basic stuff. read more

I had QUITE the experience at this Walmart. I used to live in Arroyo Grande and would come to this Walmart ALL the time and it had an amazing selection. Not so much anymore... I understand it's a Walmart and may have some interesting characters you cross paths with but when it comes to the employees acting rude, I can't be quiet. First off, the selection at this Walmart was not the best. I did not find anything I was looking for. Second off, the store was beyond gross. ...And what REALLY made me mad was my cashier Shelly at the register that sells tobacco/alcohol. She was giving me the HARDEST time about being a smoker... Not that it's any of her business, but I did just have a family member pass away which is why I choose to smoke (my bad for feeling sad). Then she makes sure she says in the loudest voice possible "I'm going to need to see an ID of course"...realize, I haven't even said what tobacco I wanted to purchase. I finally get the tobacco that I wanted. Then she sees my ID and goes "Berkely (my name) isn't that a weird name?" I tell her "I love my name and don't think there's anything wrong with it." She goes "well I bet you have lots of questions on how your parents came up with that name." Then she proceeds to give me the hardest time about vaping. She said "I hope this stupid trend dies down." Then she tells my boyfriend "I once knew a guy who was 6'9" in high school." (RANDOM I KNOW) Listen Shelly, I'm on vacation and really needed to just get the things I needed and not be hounded with a lecture followed by a ton of questions. I have PTSD and the last thing I needed was her to make me feel like crap. I understand she works at Walmart and was probably trying to create conversation, but please don't lecture me about nicotine ESPECIALLY when you work in the tobacco/alcohol register. I went in wanting to buy an Andis T outliner. I go and grab one, buy it, leave, drive 6 miles to get to my house and I get home and I am so excited to have it... I open the item, and it was used, the hair was all over the razor! They put it back on the shelve and didn't even inspect it! That is so disgusting and nasty! I don't like giving low reviews but this Walmart is so frustrating!! Don't get me wrong there are some nice people working on the ground floor here but they are ALWAYS out of items. I live nearby and come in a LOT and I always end up leaving unable to get at least one or two things on my list. And they've astoundingly been out of bags at the checkout stands at least 3 times in the last 6 months. Never happened at my old Walmart. Skip this place and drive to santa Maria if you need stuff. read more
