Our alternator quit during a cross-country trip, and Appalachia towed us to their shop. They were speedy with the repair, but 2 hours down the road we broke down again with the same bad-alternator-like symptoms. We limped off the highway to a Checkers auto store, where we found out that the battery was dead. Apparently, the Appalachia mechanic had not tested it, even though it's the typical cause of an alternator failure. After getting a new battery we made it exactly 37 miles before breaking down a third time: the alternator belt had snapped. The mechanic we saw for that problem said that the Appalachia mechanic had tightened the belt so much that he had bent the tensioner bolt. So, yeah. Wonderful front office woman, friendly guard dog, lousy service.

My insurance and car warranty with roadside service both use this company every time I have needed…read moreassistance which luckily was at my own house. I needed them once for a dead battery in which not only needed jumped but he had to actually use his own tow truck to jump it and let it run for a while to give me enough charge so that I could make it to the auto part store and buy a new battery. The next time I needed them was because my fur-baby was at the Vet's office really ill & wouldn't eat. My husband was there & said that I had been working with her at home & could sometimes get her to eat so they called me, told me to put together some things and hurry up to bring it to see if I could get her to eat. After I heated several things up & placed them in a cooler, I took everything out to leave placing the cooler along with my purse and keys in the passenger side, walked around to the driver's side and went to open the door when my stupid Ford Edge automatically locked everything with the keys, my purse, & that food sitting inside it. I managed to get a phone to call roadside service again, and they came out, unlocked the car in which the guy was very nice telling me just how many calls he has gotten for the exact same thing happening to lots of other people with the same make, model, & year. He knew I was upset because I told him I was in a hurry & why, when of all times, that's when my car does that and it had been so long that the Vet's office was now closed plus the food I fixed was ruined. He was very very nice telling me he hoped she got better and that he understood because he has some of the exact same breeds I have and we got into talking about the history of that breed & how misunderstood they are. Now, I just had to use them again for the third time, for the exact same reason as the first with a bad battery. It happened to be the same guy who came last time & said he remembered our house & address & the issue I had last time. He let it run to get a charge and was done & gone before I got to go out & tell him hi & thanks. If I had any complaint at all, it would be that the very first time my battery died I made sure to tell them the car was parked forward in the garage so they would need extra long cables or a handheld charger only for the guy to get here not prepared for that. However, that couldn't have been his fault, since it was roadside service that I had told to make sure they relayed the message & apparently they didn't. The second time would probably be how long I had to wait with my fur baby very ill who desperately needed me, but once again I believe it was either roadside service again or that they were just very busy and took the jobs in order as they came. So I have had nothing but great experiences with them all around and trust me I have dealt with several tow drivers one who has to be the most hateful man I've ever met & really messed my car up way more than what it was just saying your insurance will pay for it, so considering that, it makes me appreciate Beverage's even MORE! If the guy who who came out to my house to jump my battery happens to read this, I want to thank him since I didn't get to when he was here, and also tell him that we ended up losing that fur-baby not long after that, and lost my other boy who had Lymphoma at the time a couple months later so we have went from 3 to 1, with my blue pit being the only one left.

Terrible Service - Overcharging - and Unprofessional Behavior…read moreWe were overcharged $9,000 for towing a truck, trailer, and three cars, even though the cars were not towed separately! The staff was rude, unprofessional, and incompetent--they were swearing and speaking disrespectfully to customers, treating them as if they were garbage. Additionally, when our driver arrived to pick up the vehicles, they could not locate the person holding the car keys, causing unnecessary delays. To make matters worse, they charged excessive storage fees without justification. We will be filing a formal complaint with the Department of Justice and other relevant authorities to address this overpricing and misconduct. This kind of scam-like behavior should not be allowed to continue!
