We got the car towed down and the next day was able to look at it and diagnosed what the problem was. Thankfully it wasn't an oil pan issue but a bad oil filter. This place tried to take advantage of that and the fact that I needed to get home with 4 grandchildren. the manager quoted me $4000 to fix a ball joint ( all of them needed replacing), upper arms ( they did not need replacing), two struts ( they did not need replacing) and a $350 alignment. My friend who used to manage Les Schwab, repaired my car--all ball joints, for under $400 ( i did pay him labor). Nothing else needed replacing Alignment was done by Comisky auto repair--an honest mechanic--$150. Les Schwab was going to fix the struts and do an alignment and send me on my way. I would not have made it home. The car was unsafe without ball joint being replaced. Go to Comisky!
