My wife and are were on vacation in Mesa Verde and the truck started to act up. Called several companies to fix it but they couldn't work on it for several weeks. Called this guy and took care of it right away! He bent over backwards for us! Ran around town trying to find parts. He even lent us a vehicle for a couple days! Rob is the mechanical-minded big brother you wish you had. He's trustworthy, goes the extra mile, and you can tell, the thought never even crosses his mind to take advantage if you're female or don't have much mechanical knowledge. In my latest experience with him, I asked him to give me a sense on whether I should replace the failing transmission in our Subaru. I had a quote from the dealership in Durango, and I was hoping he could beat it. Rob took down the VIN and called around not only for cost of a new transmission, but also used ones in our area. He gave me an honest assessment, backed up with numbers. While he did beat the price of the dealership, he was honest: he didn't recommend fixing it, and gave me ideas on how to sell it. Rob Bowen at Lone Wolf Auto has been a great mechanic for me. I have a 2000 Gmc Yukon, and have gone to him multiple times over the years as I need things done. What first impressed me was when I went to him 2 years ago for the first time after seeing some great reviews online. I had been told by 2 different mechanics that I needed to 2 catalytic convertors to fix my continual check engine light and O2 sensor codes. He took the time to properly fix the problem which was actually an exhaust leak and a bad O2 sensor. He saved me hundreds of dollars, and I appreciated his honesty. Since then I have gone back to him for an upgraded stereo and speakers, LED interior lights, front bearings and some suspension work. This summer I had him put a rebuilt transmission in, and he did a great job checking everything to make sure it was done properly and was running better than ever.
