I also have a problem with my steering and I looked at the eps system and looks like they chipped on it and now I have to replace that. I do not suggest that you go to them. They do shoddy work and then overcharge for things that they dont do properly.

I went there for oil leaks in my engine, she billed me for a timing belt replacement when there was nothing wrong with my timing belt, and for a new waterpump, when there was nothing wrong with my waterpump. I was charged more that $500 above the estimate that I was given. Ever since the work they did, my drive belt has been squealing like a cyclone! I can't get back in to Maxwell Auto to get the belt tightened because the owner/mechanic is never there. They don't even pick up the phone when I call. Now I'll have to go to the trouble of suing Maxwell Automotive in small claims court. Try America's Tire and Auto in Cortez, instead.

I asked if he could so a rear brake pad replacement on the 2021 BMW X6 and provided him the VIN. He said yes. We scheduled for the next week as he needed to order the parts. Bring the car in and find out he ordered the wrong parts and needed to reschedule to the next week to get the right parts. Come back the next week and job completed. Wife starts complaining on a rattling noise coming from under the vehicle. We return home and take vehicle to local BMW dealer to find out aftermarket parts were used, the shims were not correct or were not correctly installed, rotor worn beyond resurfacing. BMW corrects the repair, voids our warranty since aftermarket parts were used. over $1,300 to correct B&N mistake. Discussed with Wayne, he states "BMW is selling you something you don't need.". "I used the VIN number and ordered aftermarket parts that fit.". Net-net he offered to reimburse the cost of the aftermarket parts ($150) but nothing else. STAY AWAY FROM B&N - especially is this is how they treat customers after being presented with their mistake.

While there, Oreilly advised to use Eighty Eight if it turned out to be the fuel pump or something else. Unfortunately, the relay didn't work. So, I called Eighty Eight. Mind you--this was a summer Friday afternoon! The proprietor always picked up the phone and tried to talk me through things. He even offered advise as to how to resurrect the fuel pump for one last trip. It was greatly appreciated. After giving up on resurrecting the fuel pump, I had it towed from Mesa Verde to Eighty Eight. The tow was a bit of a heartbreaker at $200 (don't go to Mesa Verde without a well-maintained car)! During this time, Eighty Eight was already procuring the necessary parts for the repair. He replaced the fuel pump by 6:30 PM on his Friday night. What a vacation savior! I didn't negotaite any pricing up front and I was expecting to pay $1,000 - $1,200 based on Boulder, CO pricing. He charged me $654! That was a nice Friday gift after a long day. He then gave me a 2-year warranty for the repair with coverage through a warranty network. I can't recommend Eighty Eight enough! I just wish he was close by to where I live in CO.

Next morning, I called around but no one had time to look at it until the next day, or a week and even two weeks later. Finally called 88 and Larry said he'd take a look at it. He not only took a look, but took off the serpentine belt and found that I had put a pulley on backwards, on the tensioner. It was cutting into the timing cover. He ordered a new tensioner. While we were waiting he recharged the air conditioning, tested the battery, tested the brake fluid, saying it needed flushing when our trip was over. He also tested the anti freeze and found out to be ok. He was honest, knowledgeable, friendly, and he didn't take advantage of the fact we were stuck and traveling. He only charged book rate for the parts and repair, and even took 70.00 off the AC recharge because it didn't make the AC much colder. He didn't charge for running the battery check or using the test strips in the brake fluid and antifreeze. All in all, it was a positive experience. I would recommend his shop and him to anyone that needs auto repair in Cortez,CO.

I called on May 20 and spoke to Tito/Tio (?) a few times about the car issues and setting up service for the next morning. He also gave us a few towing companies in the area. We got the car towed down and the next day was able to look at it and diagnosed what the problem was. Thankfully it wasn't an oil pan issue but a bad oil filter. They fixed it quickly and very professional.
