When I brought the car back, they found the real issue -- broken belts in the rear tires. That should've been caught the first time, but to their credit, they owned the mistake without excuses. The manager was respectful, apologized, and offered me a very fair deal on four new Mastercraft Stratus AS tires with discounted labor and extended warranty. Instead of getting defensive, they worked to make it right. I left with quality tires, professional installation, and renewed confidence in their customer service. Thankfully, we were led by locals to Autocon, where owner Nilton Contreras (a 10-year Army medic vet and father of six) and his brothers were so kind. We had to leave the car with them, so Nilton took us and our belongings to a hotel in the next city, and then we rented a car for the remainder of the trip until we could back to Autocon to retrieve my Buick. These brothers are amazing and truly care about their customers as individuals. They replaced the Buick's valve cover gasket with Buick parts and had the car ready in three days. The damage caused by this simple but critical mistake resulted in more than $2,800 in unnecessary expenses, including replacement of my oil-saturated alternator, additional mechanical repairs, hotel expenses, towing, another oil change, fuel costs, and multiple trips back to Atlanta to retrieve my vehicle. Initially, I spoke with the store manager, Omarion, who advised that he had already spoken with his General Manager. I was instructed to send all repair documentation once my vehicle was fixed. After everything was completed, I contacted the store again to obtain the General Manager's contact information, but I was told that everything had to go through Omarion and that he would forward my information. Since then, I have received no resolution, no follow-up, and no communication whatsoever from the store. It is incredibly disappointing that a company would fail to take responsibility for such a serious mistake, especially when it resulted in significant financial loss, inconvenience, and the stress of being stranded so far from home. Everyone makes mistakes, but what truly matters is how a business responds when those mistakes occur.
