A gentlemen named Burt assisted me with testing/trouble shooting the issue. He determined the battery needed replacing. He assisted me in choosing the correct battery to fill my needs as well as installing it. All the while he very professional and polite and explaining the more nuanced points of the battery, such as, voltage, cold cranking amps and so forth. This wasn't my first interaction with Burt and both times I've left that store more knowledgeable than when I came in. He not only recognized the battery was an AAP part, he looked me up in the system. And what do you know? Still 19 months left on warranty!!! He could've just as easily ripped me off for $200+. I purchased an engine from A1A in November 2019. My car is still not up and running. We installed…read morethe engine ourselves, never opening the actual engine because it would void my 90 day warranty. We deleted the EGR and the PCV line that burns old oil in the intake (nothing that would prevent my car from starting). I towed my car to a mechanic friend who assured me everything was hooked up properly and said it's a timing issue. I had my car towed to them Monday December 30th, and they told me they got codes for my EGR (which we will get because it's been deleted) as well as misfires on cylinders 2 and 3 coils. When asked if I could come up and and remove the intake and swap the coils, I was told I don't have to remove the intake (I'm a girl, I'm sure they think I know nothing about cars or engines) to swap the coils. When I got there they refused to give me my key because I had a "bill to settle." Not once in the 4 times I talked to them in less than 24 hours was I told that I would be charged for anything. Mike assured me that they had checked the timing (which was impossible in the amount of time they were actually "working" on my car. Mike told me if I got a wrecker to tow it away, he wouldn't charge me. So I did. Yesterday January 6th, I had my car towed to another mechanic to get a third opinion. He knew immediately upon startup that my car is out of time and was able to verify by taking the oil cap off and could physically see the chain slapping because it is loose. I called A1A this morning to tell them what I had learned. I was informed that I would have to pay to have the work done because Jay "doesn't think it's the timing." And that it may be bad wires or a bad ECM. They refuse to check the problem that SHOULD BE covered by warranty because we did a "butcher job" putting the engine in which is a complete lie. All because we deleted the EGR and PCV they won't do their jobs. So now I am paying a mechanic who actually knows what they are doing to fix the timing. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! They are 100% a rip off and have poor business practices and treat customers like garbage.

I needed to have my car towed to the dealership from a parking lot at an apartment complex. It was…read morea difficult job without a doubt. There were other car to contend with and in a very small parking lot making the situation a very difficult job given the tight angle and small space in which the tow driver, Sean, had to contend. I honestly thought it couldn't be done. Sean was professional and courteous and most importantly cautious and careful that he wouldn't cause any damage not only to my vehicle, the tow truck but also the property, curbs and other cars at the apartment complex. Then again at the dealership he had a difficult task ahead as it was impossible to drop my car in a parking space as requested by the dealership. Ever the professional, Sean kept his cool and managed to maneuver the tow truck and my car in such a way that he was able to drop my car off for repair. I wanted him to know just how impressed I was/am with his skills and told him, I honestly thought this was an impossible job to which he admitted that it put his driving skills to the test. I am so thankful for his professionalism and care in being so very careful with my precious baby... my car. I highly recommend having your vehicle towed by him, if you are seeking someone who will ensure your vehicle gets from point a to point be safely and without a scratch! Sean, you deserve a raise!
