We've taken vehicles here several times and have always been pleased with the service and fair price. A few weeks ago my daughter's vehicle was throwing a code. I went to an auto parts store and hooked up the scan. Once done, I took the vehicle to tire kingdom and dropped it off. A few hours later, they called and said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. They checked the car over and couldn't find anything related to the code it was showing. They cleared the code and it never came back. The charge? Zero! We just went and picked up the vehicle. I feel 99.9% of other shops would have 'done' something or at least said they did just to get some money. read more

So, I'll start off by saying that overall everyone here was really nice and took good care of me, but there were issues that put a bad taste in my mouth. I called customer service to ask how long of a wait it would be to come in and have a tire checked for a slow leak. He said 30 minutes and he'd put down for an appointment to help speed it up. Great - easy day. Showed up at 11:30 or 11:40. After about an hour, I walked out with my toddler and saw they had all four tires off the car, so I went back to the manager and double checked that they were just looking for a leak on the back tire. He said they were doing a full inspection of the vehicle. I didn't ask for that - I just wanted to make sure my tire wasn't leaking. I also told the gentleman that my toddler was getting really restless, so it'd be great to get it done sooner than later - it took almost another hour. Needless to say, I didn't leave until 1:30pm, which was way longer than I originally planned for, and I didn't like that I received a full inspection without letting me know that's what they were going to do. They didn't charge me because they didn't find a leak, which was nice, but making me wait two hours for something that should be quick and easy was really disappointing and stressful when I had my young kid in tow. read more

Had an emergency driving on I-4 and pulled in to the first place we saw - here! The manager David was a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable and beyond helpful, my new tires ride like a baby's bum. The store was busy inside and out and even though there was a wait everyone I witnessed seemed pleased with the work they got or were getting...there were definitely return customers. We were treated like family and I really needed that kind of welcome on that particular day. I had to leave my car for a couple days as my tires needed to be special ordered - I felt comfortable doing so and all turned out well. Lakeland is a bit of a drive for me but I'm willing to make it work, peace of mind is priceless and rare in today's world. read more

I was in need of replacing a tire on a 2023 Equinox due to an unrepairable leak. I am scheduled to head north on Tuesday and was looking to replace the tire with the exact tire I had on the vehicle, since it only had a little over 10000 miles on it. They were able to find th, same tire get it in, and replace it with in 24 hours. The service was great and I believe it was Norm ( formally from Utica NY) that took care of it. I wouldn't recommend if Trent is there. Actually I wouldn't recommend at all. I had a family member go here to have their tire change. The worker Trent checked the tire number and apparently put the wrong numbers in. My family member spoke with the manager David about the worker that put the tire number wrong and now had to pay more for the new tire. I was livid and asked my family member did you explain to the manager that you shouldn't pay more for the workers incompetence. But nope they had to pay the new price. The manager should had gave the family member the original price and take the pay out from his employee's mistake. Why should my family member be punished for this mishap. Fast forward, family member had to call the shop to find out if his car was ready. David told him the car has been ready and hasn't he received the call. Of course he didn't why would he call. Family member went over to get his car but when he arrived his vehicle was on the lift still hasn't gotten tires changed. Mitchel the "technician" definitely doesn't know how to raise a vehicle that has low rocker panels like mine. He failed to use proper equipment. I pointed this out and I was told "it was temporary flex".the vehicle was lowered and as it turns out it was not temporary and when I pointed this out the technician he cussed me out and the manager took no accountability and even tried to justify the technicians actions. My body panels didn't lined up and of course no one took accountability for the technician actions or for the damages. If u need any tire services performed, do yourself a big favor and stay away from this place. read more

I am so disappointed in the service I received (lack of service) I received. I had called for a quote out the door and the employee told me 125 out the door (I double checked!). I called back to make the appointment and another person, David, told me 135 because original person forgot to add some sensor thing. I told him that when I called earlier the first person I spoke with said $125 out the door and he said he would honor it. I get there and the original guy is who checks me in and says that he didn't add the tc sensor (I think?) charge and was extremely rude and wanted to have a staring contest with me (silly I know-but he was basically giving me the look of "what are you gonna do about it?") but he was looking at me as if I was scum of the earth (I drive a Cadillac!). When I told him David said he would honor the price he basically said too bad, so sad I need this sensor so I have to pay for it. He also tried me with I told you a price on the phone and when you come in person we add the things you need!!! What in the world?! I left out of frustration (it's not about the $10 difference-it was about his horrific attitude with me). If the David wouldn't have told me he would honor the price or the original guy I spoke with would have been more pleasant I would be completely fine. I know I am only one person, but I will tell everyone and their mom to NEVER bring their vehicle here. I have been going to this Tire Kingdom for over 10 years. The staff is always friendly and professional. David at the front checks you in quickly and has fit me in on several occasions without an appointment. There was another staff member cleaning sanitizing tables in the lobby while I was there and everyone working there wore a face covering following COVID-19 precautions. This place is awful. The first time I went I was ignored for the longest time. When I finally got up to leave they followed me to my car and offered to help but I didn't want to stay where I wasn't valued. The second time I went they barely acknowledged me. They just said "we're busy, come back later." And they didn't even look up at me when they said it. If they're gonna be dismissive that's fine. I arrived at 12noon and dropped off vehicle. When I got back to the store at 4:20 my vehicle hadn't been touch or looked at. All I requested was to have them test drive the vehicle to hear the noise when applying the brakes. Only would have took 15-20min and after 4hrs, nothing. Another Tire Kingdom screwed up the breaks and this is the customer service I receive. Worst company I've ever had to deal with for mechanic service work. So back in April or 2019 I bought 4 new tires from tire kingdom at 4910 us highway 98 N lakeland fl was told the deal i got came with 6 months of free alinements and free tire replacements for the life of the tire I would just have to pay $50 to add the road hazard warranty to the new tire which is fine I have never had a problem with this place but today I go in had a nail in the tire which turned out that it could not be fixed and needed a new tire ok fine was told it would cost me $56 ok great then they said that they can patch up the tire long enough for me to drive to the other tire kingdom at 5121 south florida ave lakeland fl 33813 to pick up the tire and have it put on because they were the only ones who had it in stock and it was faster if i just went there to get it ok fine so I get there and i tell the guy that the other store called to let them know I was coming from the other store and he already had a stick up his butt then I ask again how much he then tells me $120.81 was my total and Im like I was told it was only going to cost $59 and he was like oh well they didnt know how many miles I put on the car since buying the tires and I was like yes they did and they still said it was $59 and he was like well this is what it is so I had no choice to have it done I drive for uber and cant work with out tires but right after they started the work I called the other tire kingdom and told them what was going on and they were oh hell no thats not right so they called the store and spoke to the guy who signed me me and treated me like some asshole who wouldn't even think of calling the first place well after they spoke the guy slammed the phone and after all is said and done my car is finished I get my bill for $59.21 I will never go to the one on south florida ave again they are such rip offs and half of them have nasty attitudes they thought they could get one over on me thinking oh she's a women she wont know any better well guess what Im not that dumb I knew right away what you were doing and I'll be dammed you were going to get one over on me I do not recommend the one at 5121 south florida ave in lakeland fl to anyone unless you want to be ripped off and treated like crap read more

I had four tires put on and they would not do the Alignment because they said I Broken rack in pin but never let me go out to see it. I have the brakes done the day before at a different place he never said anything about no broken rack and Pin to me. My handicapped dad went to Tire Kingdom to get his flat tire fixed. He had asked the man helping us to look to make sure all of the other tires looked good as well. I went it in to pay, and pick up my fathers vehicle. I simply asked the service manager, David Santana, if they had gotten a chance to look at all the rest of the tires. His response to me was "I don't know, I didn't work on it". I asked if he could find out from the guy that was working on it if he checked them. His response "he's not here, he's at lunch. You can wait if you want but he just left" so then I asked if he could call him. David: "I don't have his number". So after I kept asking him if he could do anything to help he then told me he would check if he was in the back at lunch. "He was back there and said that he checked them" ummm ok? Does that mean they were good? David Santana used every excuse not to help me, he got an attitude with me because I was asking him to do his job. He is by far the worst manager I have ever encountered. If you're wanting good service and quality, take your car to B&L tires on 98S. I will never use tire kingdom again. read more

We will never go back to this location to have one of our vehicles serviced, and I'm not sure if we will ever go back to any Tire Kingdom again. We took my wife's car (a 2013 Ford Fusion) in because the drivers rear tire had been losing air and we believed that there was a nail in it. after having the car checked out the associate at the counter told us that there was no nail in the drivers rear tire, but they did find one in the passenger front tire. The associate told us that the tire could not be repaired because of where the nail was, and that we would need to replace it. he then said that all of the other tires were dry rotted and needed to be replaced also. He quoted us almost $700.00 for four new tires. We were a little skeptical of the information the associate was giving us and decided to take the vehicle into the Ford dealership we purchased it from, and have them do and oil change and check the tires. The Ford technician said that there was actually a nail in the drivers rear tire (the original tire we took it in for - Tire Kingdom tech said there was no nail), the Ford tech was able to patch it with no problem at all. the Ford tech also found the nail in the passenger front tire, which tire kingdom told us they found, but the ford tech pulled it out and said there wasn't a leak and the nail hadn't actually punctured the tire therefore it didn't need to be replaced. finally Ford inspected all of the tires and said that they looked fine and would likely continue to be fine for another 15 - 20 thousand miles. I asked the Ford tech if there were any signs of dry rot and he said absolutely not. We left the Ford dealership only paying $20.00 for the tire patch on the drivers rear, as compared to the $700.00 the Tire Kingdom Associate was trying to get out of us. The Tire Kingdom associate lied to us about everything. There was actually a nail in the drivers rear tire (tire kingdom told us there wasn't), the nail in the passenger front tire was not actually puncturing the tire and was able to be removed safely (tire kingdom told us that it could not possibly be repaired and that we would need a new tire). Finally none of the tires were dry rotted and should last us approximately another 2 years on the vehicle (tire kingdom told us they were dry rotted insinuating that they were unsafe and tried to scare us into by four new tires). This level of service is disgusting, and should not be tolerated! how many customers has this store ripped off and taken advantage of by lying to them and scarring people into spending money that they don't need to. We have been customers of this store in south Lakeland for several years, and I can tell you that without doubt we will never be back. I am also a Tire Kingdom credit card holder and will be canceling the card over this situation. Associates that deceive and take advantage of customers should be terminated immediately! read more

Of course you never get a flat tire when it is convenient. It was a Saturday and my tire pressure gauge alerted me to low tire pressure. I work 45 minutes for where I live so I felt stuck When I got here they took my car right back to find the source of the leak. After a few tries they found out it was the valve stem and replaced it immediately. They made me feel like the only customer in a room full of customers. Very clean waiting area. read more

I took my car to Tire Kingdom in Lakeland Florida to have the oil changed and the tires rotated and balanced. After they finished they told me that I needed new front wheel bearings which I found odd. Two weeks prior I had new brakes and calipers installed and the ASE Certified shop showed me the necessary work. I had them check all the wheel bearings at that time. and watched them do so. They were fine. When the Tire Kingdom mechanic told me I needed them I told him I would take it back to the other shop and he seemed upset. Long story short, I watched the original shop put it on the lift and was there when he checked the wheel bearings. What I found shocked me. The nut holding BOTH front bearings had been loosened a half turn. The mechanic re torqued the nut and everything was fine. Be EXTREMELY careful dealing with Tire Kingdom in Lakeland. In my opinion they intentionally loosened the nut and COULD have caused me to have an accident or at the minimum do damage to my car. In my opinion, they are not trustworthy. read more

My tire had a nail in it. I purchased my tires from them before. He showed me the nail and said it was too close to the wall so they couldn't repair it. I'm about to pay 220 and he says there's a warranty on the new tires. Shouldn't there be a warranty on the tires I have now I ask. All of a sudden now the tire can be fixed- no problems! For free-I can save myself those $220. They completely tried to take advantage of me. I will never step foot in another tire kingdom. read more

Be prepared to pay more than quoted over the phone. I just had a front end alignment (car is still pulling even after the alignment) and was quoted $89.99 but they tacked on a $9.00 shop fee charge. Suppose to be for misc shop supplies. Of course they only did a standard alignment with no parts and they still charged me this fee. Won't be going back there anytime soon. read more

I came in for regular maintenance on the lifetime rotate and balance and alignment. Sat in chair by window watching the guy. He took tires off and rolled all to balancing machine. Didn't put them on it and then rolled back to car. Didn't rotate them correctly either. Moved one from rear to front. Put one back in the same position as he took it off. I told guy running desk and the tech said two tires balanced and two didn't but yet there are no new weights on rims! Guess tech is a human balancer, no expensive machines needed!
