This location would not honor the coupon that corporate provided and charged extra for oil. They tell you anything over 5 quarts is extra and of course my car needs. 5.9 quarts. Anything to scam a customer. Manager Austin just blames corporate. I would not recommend this location at all unless you want to be ripped off. read more

What could improve? Them not being deceptive about pricing. Don't bother calling to check on pricing because they'll tell you one price on the phone then charge you a higher one once you get there. It was fairly quick at around 40 minutes. read more

The attendant did not greet me but left me sitting in the garage in my car, while they disappeared into the shop. In fact, cars were leaving cause they realized it was gonna take forever. The car desperately needed an oil change! These drive through places are great for lazy people like us. You don't even have to get out of your car. We pulled right up; there was no wait on an early Saturday afternoon. The folks there were super nice and got the car all fixed up in no time. Our oil change plus an air filter totaled around $120. You pay for the convenience here like any drive through oil change establishment. It's pretty pricey, coming in at about $85 for a synthetic blend oil change. However, you can stay in your car and it is quick. There are coupons online you can use as well just make sure you go online to have them sent to you beforehand. The reason for 3 instead of 4 stars, is they didn't perform all of the services that were checked off on my receipt. For example, I ran out of windshield washer fluid a few days after coming here even though it said they filled it. It makes you wonder if there were any other services they checked off because they had to but didn't actually perform. read more

I had an oil change at the location on 27 in Haines City, FL over the weekend. The kids were not professional and tried to sell me an extra $120 service that I refused and later was told at another Take 5 location was not needed. The kid did not put the sticker on my car. He handed it to me and said this is for the next oil change. He didn't explain to me that I could come back half way to the next change for a free top off if needed like the other location did. I'm happy there was no wait and that I didn't have to get out of my car. However during my oil change Iwas asked if anyone ever had trouble getting my bolt loose before? I said No. The tech said it was in a difficult place. Paid and was on my way. I got the oil changed because I was going on a trip. Thank God I made it there. Unbeknownst to me they had put a hole in my oil pan struggling to get the bolt off. By the time I reached my destination my car had zero oil! my engine could've seized and I could have been stranded. I went to Take 5 Oil Saturday to get my oil changed. By Tuesday afternoon my tire pressure light was on. The tires I have on my suv are only 4 months old. Part of getting the oil changed is checking the tires (that is actually on my receipt). I had to go to a store and have my son help me get air in my tires so I can drive safely. It wasn't just one tire, it was all 4 tires that were low! My light went off after he put in air in the last tire. That's not really safe and I'd think if they checked the tires I wouldn't be putting air in them days later. Its unlikely I ran something over if all 4 of them were low. I've been there before and had no problem, but I'm not happy about having to do this. Now my daughter Serenity has been offered a job at their North Lakeland location and hopefully she doesn't get set up for something. Just putting that out there in case anyone thinks about that. I love going to take five because of the convenience of being able to stay in my car while getting an oil change. However this was my first time going to the location on the southside of Lakeland. Typically I go to the one on the north side. However once again they did not disappoint. I love that they offer you water or something to drink. It's the little things like that that is what makes me feel valued as a customer. They not only changed my oil but also checked the fluids in my car, added air in my tires, and were very informative as to my options. The only downside I had was the continuous effort of up selling. When I say no more than two times it starts to feel excessive. However other than that I definitely feel comfortable visiting again if I am on that side of town. read more

I needed to take my 2014 Audi Q5 in for a top off because it said it was low on oil. When I got there there was a bit of confusion with my car sensors and what exactly needed to be done. They decided to go for a full on oil change just to be safe since I was driving 1.5hrs back home. Once they finished they explained to me that whoever did my oil last time (other location) did not do it correctly and which is why I was having so many issues. They did my oil change free of charge for my inconveniences from the other location. I was fully prepared to pay full price so this was such a pleasant surprise and a great customer experience. Manager Joe and assistant manager Santiago are incredible and made me feel safe to drive home after they took great care of my vehicle. I wish they were closer to me! I came to this store on 08/06/21 by recommendation from a member of the Nextdoor.com site for neighbors. I elected the most expensive oil and also a filter. I had checked my air prior to my visit and again when I arrived home to ensure it was done, which it was. I had a slight issue and after speaking with the manager Julian I am a very satisfied customer. He is very interested in ensuring outstanding service. Service is fast, yet a bit pricey, however full synthectic is not cheap anywhere. Visit their website and check for coupons before your visit. read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. I have never had such a terrible experience anywhere. In December, I called before taking my car in for an oil change. I asked for the price of a synthetic blend oil change. Once I got to the shop, I was told that price was for the basic oil change and the synthetic blend would be more expensive. I was annoyed, but proceeded with the oil change. After I left, I noticed scraping noises coming from under my car. I looked and saw my entire splash guard hanging underneath my car because the technicians did not reattach it after the oil change. I drove back to Take 5 the next day and had them reattach it, or so I thought. (Nobody even offered an apology. But whatever, people are rude.) Once I got back on the road, I realized it was still hanging, so I brought it somewhere else because I honestly didn't trust the work at Take 5. The new place reattached it correctly. Now, in March, I'm due for another oil change so I obviously take my vehicle to a different shop. This shop tells me, after looking at my car, that "whoever did my last oil change" (Take 5) must've tightened the oil pan too tight and stripped the threading because it was reattached using liquid silicone! They said if they removed it, there was no guarantee it would be able to be put back and, in that case, I'd have to get the whole oil pan replaced. I'm absolutely livid that, three months later, what should have been a simple oil change is still causing me problems (and costing me money). Whoever did my oil change at Take 5 in December was clearly not qualified to even reattach a splash guard, much less change the oil. This "10 minute oil change" has taken more time and money than I ever should've had to put in to get my oil changed. read more

Team conducting the change seemed short handed and slow and operated without confidence. On multiple occasions stepping away from my vehicle to query each other about what was needed. I recognize that I drive a unique vehicle for the area but Volvo's are reasonably common. The service I got at the Bartow location was FAR superior to this location. I'd drive the extra miles to use that location over this one. read more

Sitting in the car while the oil is being changed is NOT a plus. This is Florida in the summer. It is HOT!! Only issue was that other quick change oil locations in area check tires and at the least vacuum the air filter that you don't buy because it is 3 times the price of auto part store. They don't.
