Even though our two current vehicles come with free lifetime oil changes through the dealership, we often chose to pay out of pocket here because the service was quicker and we previously trusted this shop. That trust ended with my most recent visit. While servicing my car, a technician removed a personal hygienic item from my glove compartment, openly tossed it across the service bay to another employee, laughed about it, and later attempted to deny what it was when confronted. This occurred during business hours, in full view of customers. 1/26/26 approx. 3:15pm. This behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. Not because of the item itself, but because of the conduct. Seeing this happen openly made me question what behavior is tolerated in this workplace. Because of this incident, I will not return. Your tech cross threaded the oil drain plug causing a leak until I had it repaired at Meineke on Minton road in Melbourne. My mechanic at Meineke said the drain plug hole threads were damaged when the plug was put back in and caused the leak. The whole drain pan had to be replaced. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He listened to my requests and brought my vehicle in to the service area promptly! I arrived around 8:00 AM and sat in the waiting room until approximately 11:30 AM while my vehicle was being worked on. I was charged $724.79 for the repair, which included fixing an AC pipe and recharging the system with freon. The AC only worked for about two weeks before the problem returned, and my vehicle started running hot. Because of my work schedule, I was not able to immediately return, so my boyfriend brought the vehicle back in for me. I was then told the compressor was not working and that I would need to pay around another $1,700 for repairs. If I move forward with having the vehicle fixed through Gatto's, I will be facing nearly $2,500 total spent on an AC issue that was not resolved after the original repair. My concern is how a compressor issue was not identified during the original visit when my vehicle was there for over three hours. I trusted Gatto's to properly diagnose and repair my vehicle, but now I am being asked to pay for another major repair shortly after the first one. I hope management reviews this situation and takes responsibility. Customers trust repair shops to provide accurate diagnoses and quality work, not to pay for the same issue twice.
