I got real sick of my dealership overcharging for oil changes so I came here. There is NOOOO such thing as a 10 minute oil change here! I was told to check back in 45 or give them my number and they'd send me a text when finished. Which was fine cause I had a huge list of things I needed to get from Walmart. I got a text 45 minutes later as promised but I stood at the counter as one guy kept running back and forth finally after 15 more minutes I interrupted him and he checked me out. Duh why do you think I'm standing here?? I guess this is the price you pay for a cheaper oil change?? I figured it was 60% less than my dealership's "on sale price" $109.95!! Which this was $48 so now we're back down to what I use to pay before all the inflation?? I will be be back but be prepared to spend another $50-$100 in store while your wait.. read more

Bought 4 Continental tires for my BMW X5. Paid for deluxe installation and had it scheduled. An email confirmed my 9am appointment the day before. When I arrived the tech at the counter said there was no appointment but he's get me in even though they were busy. Ironically next to him was a stack of tires. They were mine. He told me installation would take about an hour so I went shopping in the store. At the 40 minute mark I got a voicemail from one of the techs working on my car asking if I knew how to turn off the air suspension. I walked back to the auto center and suggested they Google the process. I guess no one thought to do that. I decided to hang out and 30 minutes later I got a call from another service tech asking me to go to a nearby autozone and get two wheel studs as mine were now damaged. Not sure how that happened but I didn't wanna further delay the repair process so I walked over and bought two. I gave them to the tech and an hour later still no car. I waited to speak to the service manager who walked past me, never breaking stride, and said it should be done soon as they were just finishing up a QC. Unbelievably poor customer service. I can only hope they installed and balanced the tires properly. I'm have my garage look it over as soon as I leave. What a bunch of incompetent managed by an even bigger incompetent. I've bought tires from Walmart in the past because you can buy high end tires at great prices but this auto center in Romeoville Illinois discredits the entire brand. Super disappointed. The WORST service. I came in around 1pm for a new set of tires and was told to come back around 5pm to have them put on, etc. then when I got there at literally 4:40pm y'all told me you're closed????despite telling me you could change my tires at 5pm??? Telling me you're closed when your website says you close at 7PM??? Y'all are rude and have beyond poor customer service. read more

I got tired of going to my dealership for oil changes because every time I go in I feel like I'm being ripped off so I decided to try out Walmart auto. I guess I should have read the reviews prior but I tend to take my own chances most of the time. Service is very slow. I called prior to coming in to assure they were not busy. The lady said they were not and there's no wait. I headed over immediately and when I got there no one was at the counter. I pressed the button for assistance and waited about 10 minutes and still no one to be seen. I walked to the aisle and found an employee and she called for their assistance. The guy ended up finishing the job and took about 40min for him to finish. You would think since he took that long that he would have vacuumed my car. NOPE !!!! It says when you purchase the oil change it includes a free vacuum. Definitely didn't get that service as I still had the same crumbs left in the car. I woulda went back to say something but I doubt they would have done a good job so I didn't even bother about the vacuum part. I'll guess I'll just go back to my dealership for my oil changes. Least I get a free wash and I can physically see the difference in appearance. read more

Walmart Auto Care Centers - Tires Near Me - Romeoville, Illinois

I've been to Walmart a few times for oil changes unfortunately. They usually tell you it's a 1-2 hour wait like they're trying to get rid of you. Or they tell you it'll be a half hour and it takes a hour or more. I've never had issues with a oil change itself until my last visit. My car was leaking oil in the driveway and I knew from a previous issue the oil filter probably wasn't tight. I took it back and endured the 1 hour wait for them to confirm the oil filter was loose. They tightened the filter and topped of the oil no charge. Overall Walmart service is slow and sloppy. I hope to find better service elsewhere. read more

2nd time here for the same issue. My tires are under warranty from Walmart and keep going flat (they are less than 3-months old). Each time they say that they could not locate the source of the flag. Each time the wait is over six hours. Got here at 7:30am and still no work being done. I have a feeling They are just going to keep having me come back until my warranty expires. Oh... and They put half my tires on with the white lettering facing out, the other two with black lettering out, and lost 2 of my specialty valve caps. Terrible read more

I went into Walmart with my daughter to get both of our vehicles an oil change. I am brand loyal to Castrol and Walmart is one of the few places that uses this superior brand. I also wanted to have my battery replaced. We dropped our vehicles off Ubered to have breakfast and when we returned I was informed the oil changes were completed, however they couldn't replace my battery as there was a part rusted on my vehicle. I then just purchased a battery to just change it at home. Once I got home it was discovered I was sold the incorrect battery. I exchanged it and all was well. After that I had some work done to my car and couldn't drive it for a few weeks. Once my vehicle was read worthy again I checked the oil and it seemed dark, after only putting about 500 miles since the oil change that didn't seem right to my untrained eyes. I had thought maybe when they couldn't change the battery they forgot to do the oil change. I decided to stop in and speak to the manager. Keith is the manager and he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He took a look at my car and stated he was unable to determine just from looking at the oil and oil filter if the oil change was or was not completed. He advised me he would pull the tapes to determine if the oil change was completed. I just received the call from Keith and he stated he did see oil being added to my vehicle and the filter being changed. Thanks Keith for your professionalism. read more

Never going here again, they damaged my car and just got off the phone with their insurance claim and said they will not cover it. Bunch if BS. How you going to open the driver side door and damage the front fender? The part I'm mad about the most they didn't even fucken tell me. If you have problems with the car isn't it common sense that you call the owner of the vehicle and explain the situation? Now I have to spend $500 to fix it. Do not recommend going here. Had my tires rotated here they almost killed me they halfed ass my car and left the lug nuts loose thank god nothing happened

From the moment I walked in the lady at the counter ignored me for a good 10 mins. Then when she actually acknowledged me, she was rude. I only came for a simple oil change and that was it. But I guess basic customer service wasn't included in the training or maybe that's just how she is, nevertheless I was still nice and respectful towards her. She told me it would take 2 hours for the oil change, which I thought was ridiculous but it was okay because I was willing to wait and do some shopping around while I waited. 2 hours passed and I came back to check and this time it was a man at the register... I asked him about the status of my car and he flat out ignored me . He stood there like I didn't even exist, he wasn't on the phone or anything. That just showed me that the workers at the auto center are all just very rude. You would think having me wait over 2 hours that they would be at least a little bit considerate, nice or even respectful, but no.. So after a few minutes of silence, he decided to acknowledge me by saying, "huh?? What do you want??" Anyways, I ended up having to repeat myself and he went back to check on my car and said that they were still working on the oil change after over 2hours... and it wasn't even busy there either lol so I was just confused but I decided to put myself through this so I can't complain. Just know that I won't be bringing my car here ever again due to the rudeness, long wait times, and the high prices not matching low quality and unprofessionalism.
