Overfilled my oil (when I had a cross country trip right after), left oil footprints on my carpet, and couldn't even put my engine vanity shield on correctly. Into my trip, my computer warns me that my oil level is too full, and then an engine malfunction light came on with limp mode. I had to stop and let a little oil out of the crankcase at an auto parts store. When I informed the Manager of this place on a phone call from BFE, he gives me an attitude because they use a special gun and attempted to shift the blame to my car or me. Never had a single problem with this car until they touched it to change the oil. They were also told to check out a small leak on my passenger tire that leaked down about 5 psi a week. They said all good, nothing found...well, it still leaks. I wouldn't trust this place with anything with anything if they can't even get customer service correct...let alone an oil change. read more

Management and service has shifted in the past few years and needing to update my review. I was recently in for an oil change where they told me I also needed a new housing for an oil leak and a new belt. I wanted to get a second opinion and actually brought it to 3 additional shops in which they all told me my belt has no issues and no cracks. One mechanic even asked if my belt was new. As a person who doesn't know much about cars, I'm glad I went for other opinions and didn't spend unneeded money at Midas. I will be taking my auto services elsewhere moving forward. Would not recommend this place for oil changes or auto repairs. read more

Took my Ford Fusion 2018 to Midas for a error""Full accessory power active" which means ave full power for all accessories, the USB and power outlets, without starting the car. Had a tow truck bring car to them. Battery was at 100%, starter brand new, Midas said it was a transmission issue so I paid for diagnostic and decide to get a second diagnostic. Tow truck pick up my car and dead battery. Chips and food on my clean detail seats. Called Midas they ask for me to bring battery back to be charged. Called this morning and technician said battery not taking charge. So many extra problems will never do business again with them never read more

I had MY FIRST OIL CHANGE on my NEW CAR there. My oil light came on before the 7,500 light came on to remind me for the next change. When I checked the level of oil in the car, it was EXTREMELY low, almost to the bottom of the dipstick. In the time of Covid, there is no way I used that much oil. Rex and his team of honest workers really helped me make a great decision on getting my car back on the road. I thought I had an engine light on but they pointed out my car wasn't suppose to sound so loudly in the back end and they found that a piece was in need of replacement and now I've never heard my car sound so quiet and they were able to point me in the right direction on getting my engine light fixed the right way even though it wasn't through them. They made the calls to fix the people that could fix it and gave me all the information I needed to bring with me to get it fixed. read more

My fault for expecting professional service from the staff, they can't even speak to you and inform you what is going on with the car/parts. I used to bring my van here religiously, but some changes have made me reconsider. The "LIfetime" brake pads lasted only 35,000 miles - and I normally get 80k + out of brake pads. They don't like walk ins and you have to schedule your breakdowns accordingly. Their pricing is very similar to most dealers. And they have a constant changeover of mechanics, so you never know who is working in your car. Between the inconsistent staff, poor quality products and high prices, I cannot highly recommend this Midas location. read more

This shop is straight-up and honest. I came in thinking i needed a whole new muffler assembly because i was told by my auto dealer i needed one. Mike, the shop manager, pulled my car in to tale a look. He told me my muffler was rusty but in solid condition. He said i do NOT need a muffler and even brought me out to show me why i didn't need one. On top of that, one of the mechanics saw my tire light was on and checked my tire pressure. No charge. I came here for an oil change and I was amazed by their customer service. JR Ramirez was the man who helped me, shoutout to him! He was extremely professional and to say he is nice would be an understatement! I had a bunch of questions which he answered thoroughly and patiently. I can tell they take good care of all of their customers. There was also another man who was very nice, but unfortunately I forgot to get his name. Jr took the time to explain the maintenance my care required and the cost breakdown, and even gave me a mini lesson on car maintenance! He is definitely an asset for Midas! We need more personable folks like him in the world, especially in auto shops! :) I chose to come here in the first place because they answered the phone so kindly compared to their competitors who were rude to me probably because they heard a young girl speaking on the phone... But I had a great experience at Midas. I should also mention that they don't try to make you spend more on other unnecessary services. Called in on Saturday morning asking if they could install my Magnaflow muffler, Kenneth said yes at 1pm he said would cost around 60 to 80.00. When I get there they wanted 225.00 for 2 HOURS OF LABOR I said could they do it for 200.00 the Manager said they would at 203.00 I said yes. It took the mechanic less then 40 minutes as I timed him. They still charge me for 2 hours of labor and took short cuts but torching of the old muffler. Just feel be proper if it took 2 hours then I would of paid for 2 hours. Hey Midas, Why did you try to rip me off? This wasn't a good way to keep a repeat customer who has bought brakes and other services from you in the past. Now you wont get my business ever again! I called and got a $25 quote to put nitrogen into my tires, but the bill came out to $28. Jim said the extra $3 was for supplies. What supplies??? You let air out and put nitrogen in! He said it was for seat covers, and that the extra charge varies depending on the job. Why I should have to pay for a mechanic's dirty pants? What hidden charge will be next... a porterage fee to drive the car in and out of your service bay? A tool usage charge? A charge for the shop's lights? Give me a break! Midas gets away with stuff like this because the amount's small enough that most people probably don't bother to complain, but in the end this would have boosted Midas' bottom line profit by 12%. So after such nickel and dimeing, how can I even be confident that Midas ever even performed the work that I hired them to do in the first place? read more

This oil change took so long! The employee at the desk was friendly, and I saw him really being compassionate and helping out a mom with 2 kids. However, the actual oil change took around an hour. My normal place takes around 5 minutes. And, Midas did not reset my oil indicator, so, shortly after I got it changed, my oil indicator mistakenly went off. I would not suggest this place. read more

Just got an oil change. They got me in rather quickly without an appointment. They also charged me a fair price rather than trying to rip me off like fullserv oil change in Downers grove was trying to do (74.99 for an oil change according to fullserv). They were more than half the price here and advised an oil change for my particular make/model car shouldn't ever cost that much. read more
