What's with these bad reviews? Came by to replace some tires and perform and oil service for an old pickup truck. I didn't even know there was an auto service department as I rarely shop at Walmart and the service center is tucked away on the side of the main store. Purchased the tires online and booked an installation appointment and oil seevice appointment online too. Pricing was very reasonable. Process was easy. Tires were delayed and efficient messaging was received. I rescheduled the service to coincide with delivery date. Came in today and I was warmly greeted. Person checked for my appointments and I was set to go. I received messaging about the status of my car. I shopped next door and came back and waited in their waiting room. I received a message that my car was ready and went to the cashier. The cashier took my payment and I was good to go. The whole transaction was perfect for me. I will definitely be back. read more

Went in there yesterday for an oil change. Oh Boy! I used to take my car in for that years ago, but then after one visit when checking my car's oil level a couple of weeks later it didn't even register on the dipstick. I immediately drained the oil because I wasn't sure if they even put oil in it. The oil that I drained was low and very dirty which made me wonder if I was right, and they hadn't changed the oil at all. Either that or they didn't put enough oil. And they may have only used Conventional Oil (the reason it was so dirty?). My car requires Synthetic, and it NEVER gets that dirty. Ever. Stopped going there after that. UNTIL today. I saw that the price for an oil change was lower than the other place I'd been going, so I thought I'd give them another try. I took in my own Toyota OEM oil filter, and they agreed to use it instead of their Super Tech filter, or whatever cheap oil filter they use. I watched the above ground tech open the box with my filter in it and saw him grab the little plastic bag with the O-Rings and hand it to the tech who was under the vehicle. BUT I never saw him hand him the filter. Then I saw him set the filter box on his station in front of the computer. I wondered why he didn't simply throw the box in the trash or the recycling can. When they were done with my car, he went to his computer to enter the info and finalize the job, and I could clearly see the box was still there. It was there the entire time they were working on my car. I watched closely as he went to his computer, but he was blocking my view of the filter when he was standing at his workstation. Then when he stepped away, and I didn't see the box and didn't see what he did with it. When I left through the service bay, I looked inside the trash bin next to where my car was serviced. NO TOYOTA FILTER BOX! There was a Fram filter box from a previous job, so they must throw the empty filter boxes in there, but what did he do with my OEM Filter that I paid good money for? The old Switcheroo, eh?... What a RIPOFF!!! Let this be a warning to others. Oh, and they charged me for 4.6 quarts of oil, which is what my car takes, but they shorted me a half court of oil... I submitted this feedback to the WALMART AUTO CENTER MANAGER 4 days ago and have received ZERO reply....service itself was ok, but went almost 2 HOURS over what they said it would take with ZERO explanation - DO NOT RECOMMEND: ----------------------------------------------------- Hello I was there this last Friday, 15 August to have 4 tires installed. Although your team was professional, I had a set appointment time, booked through walmart.com at 4pm. I arrived on time and checked in and was told the installation would take 1-1.5 hours. I didn't leave until 7pm, THREE hours later. No updates were given to me throughout, your employees kept walking by without giving me status and when I asked, Yves (sp?) told me "sorry we are short-staffed, I apologize, contact the manager" I stopped by twice today and couldn't find you. This is unsatisfactory. Additionally, when I was leaving my low tire pressure light came on. I asked one of your technicians and he told me it was because your air pump "only goes to 55 psi" and my truck requires 60 in the front and 70 in the back. I insisted they do something and he then asked the other tech, who after spending 5 mins on his phone casually told the younger tech to "use the other one it goes higher" Not the best customer service. If I could give a lower star if I could. I had a 4:00 appointment t Santa Maria Walmart. I was told to arrive 15 minutes early. I was told the car (oil change and tire rotation) would be ready in 45 minutes. At 5:06 they had not even started. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER take your car to Walmart. They are 100 percent incompetent and do NOT care!!!! I should have looked at previews. That would have assured me NOT to go. read more

They checked in first the two cars that came after me because I was still inside my car. They told me that if I wanted service I should have waited outside my car and that they didn't know that if I was just waiting for somebody when they knew that I needed oil change because i asked them about it. read more

came in with towed vehicle with flat, borderline area with punctur, they wouldnt fix. i bought a fixit kit from them fixed it and they wouldnt jack it up so the tire bead could seal. cost me an extra 50 dollars to call another roadside company to help. HORRIBLE people!!!!! What would they have done if it was a family member???? read more

It's quite a wait to get things done but for the price that I paid for my truck tires I shouldn't complain. The people are nice and they just take their time. (I think they want you to shop and spend more) Lol. Overall not a bad experience. read more

Ok!!! When you walk in,and they see you,and you see two register, and there's clearly one customer waiting for help,.! I respectively walk to customer in line got behined him! Ok! Customer in front of me and employee go to other register! I wait at empty register! Another customer walks in ! What do they do!! They help him first!! That's ok,he wanted oil change! Seems like , either they don't have the correct tool, no oil filter or not enough time. Wall Mart service center is by far the worst place for auto maintenance. Be aware they will strip your drian plug or make some wierd excuse to get you to leave. Your better off anywhere else. read more

Walmart provides cheap affordable service, but double check their work! I got new tires installed, but when I checked the air pressure on all my tires after coming home all my tires were over inflated! My rear tires were 52 and 45 while my front were 43 and 39. My tires are suppose to be 33psi on all four. I could have blown my rear tire off having that 52psi which is almost twice the manufacturers psi rating. I'm pretty sure the lug nuts on my wheels aren't also properly torqued the right amount. Lastly, my hub cap wasn't put back properly luckily I caught it before driving or else it would have fallen out. Walmart is good to get things done with a budget just double check their work ethics. read more

If you don't have to be anywhere for at least 2-5 hours not a bad place. I had to get a tire put on but had to wait 2 hours. Ridiculous!

The worst experience ever. Read previous reviews. It is all true, especially the wait. All I needed was balancing on all 4 tires. I went in Saturday morning and was told it would take 3 hours to wait. I was told to make an appointment so that it will be easier for me. So I called to make an appointment for Sunday and was told that I could not even after I was told I could. So I went in on Sunday afternoon and was told again that it would be more than a 3 hour wait, so I passed. I went on a 3rd day at 1:30. I was once again told more than 3 hours, but should be done by 5. So I said that's fine. I even told the tech that I'll come back at 6 to give them more time. I called at 5 just to get an update and was told that they didn't get started on it. I asked if it will be done and was told that it should be done before they close at 7. I had my wife drop me off after 6 and I was going to hang out there till closing. As soon as I was dropped off, I noticed that it wasn't even looked at because how I mis-parked my car was the same way. I asked the guy in the nice blue shirt on what's going on. Considering how he was dressed, more likely the auto center manager. He told me that they couldn't do it because of the condition of the tires looked like they were 6 years old and that they tried calling to let me know this at 2:30. I told him that the tires are only 1 1/2 years and that I did not receive a call. I even said that I called at 5 and that no one ever told me that. I was told by friends that when this auto center can't get to your car, they would make up stuff to say they can't do the job. Also no one ever called because I checked the history of calls. Very bad 1st impression. You need to work on your customer service. I hate to leave bad reviews, but this experience was bad. You are the 2nd bad review, right behind DMV. read more
