Lets get price out of the way, it is not bad on wheels, but not good; average on wheels in other words. Alignment is pricy especially if you do not buy tires, however here is where things get tricky with this place. If you do not buy tires, aligment is supposed to be 120 (this price should not include tax, but more on that in a bit), 90 if you buy minimum of 1 wheel in 2025. Again, this price should not be including tax as they did not indicate it does or does not, and most companies do not include tax on their advertised price unless they say otherwise, and services most of the time do not have tax as part of the listed price. Now to why this a 1 star location AND a place to avoid: We purchased 2 tires in October 2025 for 120 each (again without tax on price, this is important as it is part of the 1 star issue), and had the alignment service charged as well at the price of 90. In total with tax, we were charged 353.57; this means each wheel was charged 120, and with tax should have been about 130.50 per wheel (about 261 on wheels alone with tax). This leaves a balance of 92.57... which is 2.57 more than the 90 dollars they quoted... ok no issues so far if the service is taxed as well. I leave the car to get the tires installed and get alignment done, to which they tell me it will be done in a few hours. I come back later in the day expecting everything to be done and I get told that wheels were installed but alignment was not performed and did not bother telling me until I showed up... and they left me going WTF? They said they needed a specail part that was not available and needed to be ordered before alignment could be performed; and instead of asking me what I would like to do, they simply said they would refund me 90 dollars for the service that was not performed. I immediately told them that we needed the service and asked how long it would take for the part to arrive. They told me 2-3 days, and I asked them to not refund me that day as we need the service performed (we still do as of this writing). 2-3 days go by and nothing, no follow up calls, no updates, so I had to call and I was then told the part was delayed and they were told it would be pushed into next week but they could not provide an exact date as they were not provided a tracking number. Again, no communication on this and I had to reach out to get an update, but I wanted to get the service we paid for and told them ok we will continue waiting until the part arrives. We continue waiting until the following week and again NO UPDATE. So I called and they did not answer the phone. I called them 3 times per day throught 2 days and no replies or follow up. I then go into the shop in person to ask for an update and they tell me the part was cancelled a few days before I went in and they would refund me the money. I did not bring the card I used as I was not expecting that at all, so I left and came back the next day in the morning to get a refund. They wanted to give me 80 dollars back. I immediately told them that is wrong, and the person attending me called someone to confirm the refund amount, who specifically told them to give me 80 dollars (I heard this as well). The person attending then said sorry they said 80; I told him to hold on let me get the receipt, and unforuntately I had forgotten it at home, so I had to leave and come back in the evening after the work day. Their carbon copy receipt said 2 hand written things: Wheels x 2 Aligment No price line, no tax line. Stapled on top was the prined receipt for the credit card transaction of 353.57 I go into the shop in the evening asking to get my money back and again the person attending me said they could give 80 dollars back. I then got upset and got a little aggressive, but I told him 2 people had said 90 dollars, and if it was 80 then the price per wheel were higher than what we were told, so I asked which was it. He realized this and then said to me that price for aligment was all over the place and has seen people get quotes for 90, 80, 70, and even 50 in special situations. He finally refunded me 90 dollars and we left it at that. As mentioned before, at the start, based on total pricing, they did keep a little more, but at this stage we simply wanted out. We had decent service with them up until this point, but after this experience, we will no do business with them again. read more

At first I was skeptical, due to other reviews. However a friend of mine recommended this shop. I stopped by and with my little knowledge, they helped me understand what the work I was getting, with fair price. I went in for a level and a brake/rotor change. I dropped off my truck in the AM. A few hours went by, they called me while I was running errands. They asked why I was interested in getting brakes. I stated months yes MONTHS ago I went to Dodge dealership, for a squeaky nose coming from wheels, Dodge insisted my brakes were worn down from a new vehicle, I didn't believe their load of bs making a quote of $1500 for a set of brakes and rotors.. However since I was getting the level at a very fair price, I opted in to purchase a pair of brakes. Anyway, during the phone call the gentleman states my brakes are practically still new and did not need the new padding. Honesty goes a long way, and for that I appreciate and saved me few hundred bucks for that. I got the service I requested and along with an honest opinion. I'm very satisfied, and the experience was great. I picked up my truck around 4:30pm. 24 hours later after service my truck is driving great, they realigned the truck as well. They put on my new tires. My kids picked up my vehicle didn't notice the tire pressure sensors were on; went to have them reset it, one kid asked the brother to reset for us and he took off. We waited for 10 minutes the kid came to reset them we turned the truck back on and it still was showing tire pressure. I couldn't recommend to friends or family. Terrible mechanics no certs parts fall off then they get angry at you because you point out there mistakes. missing Cotter pin on front wheel suspension they put on. He tried to hand me a cotter pin to put in myself.????? Tie rod fell off they replaced the castle nut and pin with just a nut it vibrated off and thak god fell off when i turned into driveway. I had a "run flat" set of tires mounted in April. It's October and my Mercedes "low tire" warning came up on my dash..3 of 4 tires had around 35lbs slightly low,but the drivers side front had 70 lbs . Upon checking it the entire middle of tire is bald from it being over inflated. Besides destroying my tire in a thousand miles it could have easily exploded from over inflation and killed me and probably others. Went down and talked to management and they denied any involvement and would not replace the tire they ruined. Last place I would ever do business with in Orcutt / Santa Maria. By the way I am an retired Engineering Scientist with Boeing Integrated Defense Systems Space and Intelligence Division.. Bought new tires and had an alignment done in May.. my tires in the front are shredded!!! I came back and they said they would give me credit..I told them I'd rather just pay full price somewhere else and get the alignment done there. I've been in no accident and no way my tires should have this much wear . I'm going to post a picture and I'm taking them to small claims court.. they normally do good work..I went in and asked for a receipt for the work they had done and they said they are at the bookeeper and if they gave me a receipt they would have to pay taxes twice???? After getting brakes done on my 2013 civic, rotors pads the works! Couple months later I find out the hard way that they forgot to put a bolt back into the caliper to hold it to the arm. I went in today and they said they'll make it right tomorrow... I could have severely crashed and or totaled my car from this negligence. Not to mention the grease stained finger prints they left of my arm rest... I'll give them 2 stars because the guys I dealt with today seemed genuinely concerned and shocked it had happened. Update: they replaced my $30 caliper bracket, and left me with more greasy stains on my interior. And my Sunday ruined last week replacing the bolt THEY forgot and my Saturday morning waiting for them to get the new part back to 1 star. $195 and 2 trips to their shop and 1 ride to the parts store later, I think my car may be fixed. Its been 4 years. Messed up on my car...rotated the steering wheel without support while replacing my steering assembly. Had to redo and replace the steering assembly and all my controls stopped working on my steering wheel...had to get a new harness inside my steering wheel...medina tire still hasnt reimbursed me for damages that occurred while getting serviced there..medina tire owes me money and when I went to collect they denied me what they owe me. Medinas tires did right by me..I took my flat tire to big brand in Ag and they said its unfixable...I took it to Medina's in orcutt where I bought my tires and the technician was waiting for me after 10 minutes of absence!!! Amazing how these guys get you going in a timely fashion and the tire continues to hold up even through the potholes I drive through in Guadalupe. Will definitely recommend them to everyone. Was not happy with the brand of tires but settled. They couldn't put my spare back on properly and kept hitting it with an iron rod. I left with my spare hanging sideways under the truck bed. When I went to another tire place to have it put on correctly they said whoever banged on it broke it and needed to be fixed at the dealer. Unfortunately the owner is only there in the mornings now and the other guys there (my guess is maybe his sons?) don't seem to want to work. Medina's Tires is a complete scam. Can not believe that they would take advantage of people who know nothing about cars. Took my car in to get the rotors resurfaced. Medina said that the brakes needed to be replaced, so my Husband and I decided to take their advice and have the brakes replaced. My breaks kept squeaking after they had replaced my brakes. My husband called and they said to give it a few days. I started to notice that the breaks were squeaking worse than before, so i decided to get another opinion and took my car to big brand to get the car looked at to see if there was a different problem. Big Brand informed me that Medina's Tires had put on breaks that did not even go with my Nissan. At this point, I was very upset. I tried to call there shop and was told by a man that their manager did not come in until 11 and then was hung up on after asking to speak to a supervisor or someone else in charge. This is VERY BAD customer service. I can not believe that there are people out there who still take advantage of people. I WILL NOT be returning to Medina's for anything else ever again! Wish I could give them a negative score, they do not deserve a star from me. Do not waste your time here, I would hate for someone else to get ripped off and taken advantage of as well. read more

These guys saved our trip!!! On a late Saturday afternoon, when no one else in town seemed to be open, we limped into Medina's with not one, but two blown tires. Turns out the jerks in Council Bluffs, IA who allegedly sold my husband new tires ripped him off. (but that's another review.) The two young men who assisted us KNEW what they were doing, helped us immediately, and were clearly experts at what they were doing. 35 minutes later with two good tires (used, but in excellent condition) back on the car, we can't praise them highly enough. They even used the old-fashioned water test for checking for leaks in the new tires. Clearly they knew their stuff. Thanks guys! read more

I used to come to this place for quality used and good priced tires. Today I bought 2 new tires (not used) to find that they scratched my Alloy rims. When I pointed it out the tech said "sometimes it happens" and grabbed a rag to rub out the scratches. What???!!!! I am so pissed! The other passenger side had scratches too and the tech said it was curb rash! My car is parked in a garage and I don't park anywhere near a curb at work!! I asked to speak to the manager but he called and spoke to him in Spanish so I have no idea what was said and I never got to talk to the manager. Now I have to show up in the morning to talk to the manager and waste my time to see if they could sand out the scratches....just great!
